Chapter 34: Beating up the stalker

Hyuga Hiashi was one of the first to find out Hachiro was coming to Konohagakure again, before he had even arrived.

He had initially hoped he could bribe the Kumogakure genins on information on his daughter.

However, he wasn't certain if that sort of information would be public knowledge, it wasn't what you would what other villages to know.

But if he asked the highest ranking person from the event four years ago, there was certainly a high chance they would know something about Hinata.

He had made sure to set everything aside and now he was rushing to the ninja academy.

Perhaps the situation was a perfect representation of the saying.

"You'll only know how to cherish something, After you've lost it."

In the original anime he had high expectations for Hinata as the next clan leader.

Unfortunately her innocence wasn't suited for the position and after failing to push her to mature, he gave up on her entirely.

However since he hadn't went through that he still valued her like he valued the future Hanabi.

His wife, Mrs. Hiashi, rushed to the school holding Hiashi's hands.

Though there was still a wobble in her step due to the rather large baby bump.

After Hiashi's and the elders unrelenting efforts, she was finally persuaded to have another baby again.

Still, it took them four years to convince her.

Hiashi was anxiously trying to dissuade her.

"You're currently going through labor, we have to be careful or the baby may get hur-"

However, Mrs. Hiashi, with her big belly, shook her head with resolution and hid the pain in her expression.

"No, I haven't seen my baby Hinata in five years! I must know how she's being treated. Right now!"

In desperation, he could only support his wife who was going as fast as she could to the examination room.

When the Hyuga couple arrived, they found out that Hachiro had already arrived and was somewhere else in the village.

Mrs. Hiashi nearly collapsed on the ground.

Hiashi comforted her.

"Don't worry, the chunin exam will last a few days. He won't be leaving before then, I'll try to go find where he is staying so we can go ambush him."

She could only weakly nod with her remaining energy and agree to let her husband carry her back home.

However, before then their initially peaceful walk was interrupted by the afterimage of someone flying past them at a high velocity.

Bang! ! !

The unknown shinobi slammed into the Gate behind them.

Instantly, the sound of the loud impact attracted the attention of the surrounding villagers and shinobi from other villages.

Slumped on the ground that was covered in blood, was a figure collapsed on the ground.

When the smoke gradually dissipated revealing the shinobi in person they were all astonished.

Whether it was those from Konohagakure or other villages they exclaimed in surprise.

"U-Uchiha Shisui?!"

"Shisui?! As in the prodigy that supposedly joined the Anbu?"

"How could... he be injured so badly?!"

"This is inside Konoha!"

While everyone was chatting due to the ridiculousness of this event, Hachiro jumped over to Shisui and flashed him a smile.

"If you're going to stalk me at least take some lessons on stalking."

He snarkily chastised.

The eyes of the Hyuga couple shrunk.

They would never forget the wretched man who had took away their three month old daughter.

Hachiro Raiden!

Baki saw what was happening but just kept silent as he watched from the side.

He had memorised the information their village had on dangerous ninja from other villages.

When the other ninja that were meant to be representing foreign shinobi villages heard him say 'stalk' their expressions changed.

It wasn't surprising to them that Konoha would want to make sure they didn't cause any trouble.

But they didn't expect for the leaf to send Anbu to moniter them.

Neither did they expect Kumogakure to react so strongly to supervision.

"A lot of the rumours, about the shinobi from kumogakure talk about how they have more muscles in their heads than brains. I guess it really is true."

Baki thought to himself contemptuously.

He didn't plan to stir up any trouble with the leaf right now.

They had planned to participate in the chunin exam fairly, as such they had brought their very best genin, Pakura.

This was a great chance for them to deter other villages with her kekkai genkai.

They could also gather some information about Konoha while they were at it.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Konoha wasn't as idealistic as they had initially estimated, they would have to put their second objective on hold for now.

"So fast..."

Shisui staggered slightly as he tried to get up.

He was covered in blood from head to toe.

He recalled how his opponent had managed to move so fast that he couldn't see them.

Speed was his specialty, so it came as quite a shock to him.

He thought to himself.

Even if I activate my sharingan, my body won't be able to keep up.

I think that only the Third Hokage can compete with him in the village now.

"Heh~"

Hachiro gave Shisui a smirk before turning and leaving.

"You! You aren't going to fight me?"

He was shocked because this was a good opportunity to kill him.

Konoha couldn't afford to let the matter of them sending shinobi to watch on their guests to escalate.

The political situation was unstable and with how aggressive the cloud was they might want to call for a war.

Konoha was undeniably weaker than in the past and their morale wasn't the best to begin with.

He had expected to have a few bones broken even in the best circumstance.

"Nah. I have a hunch you're going to die soon anyway."

Hachiro said vaguely.

Shisui was going to die?

The onlookers looked quite shocked at the reason.

They wondered. Did he have an incurable disease? Was he poisoned? Really bad internal injuries? Or was it something else?

"Uh, Mr. Hachiro, if you have time, could you come to my humble house?"

Before Hachiro could leave, Hiashi plucked up the courage to take the initiative to invite him.
