[ NO, YOU CAN UPGRADE THE RANGE OF THE DUNGEON CORE, OR YOU CAN BUY EXTRA DUNGEON CORES TO COVER A LARGE AREA, YOU COULD ALSO BUY AN AVATAR BODY TO MOVE OUTSIDE THE DUNGEON ]
I took a breath of relief, 'so how much do all of those costs?'
[ INCREASING THE RANGE OF THE DUNGEON CORE TO 2KM CURRENTLY COSTS A 1000DP, AN EXTRA DUNGEON CORE COSTS A 100000DP, AND A BASIC AVATAR COSTS 10000DP ]
Well, that's nice to know-
I poured my mana in my new eye but all I got was sharp pain going from my eye to my head.
[ ALERT! ALL-SEEING EYE, IS STILL CALIBRATING PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING IT FOR 24 HOURS! ]
'Hey! no one mentioned this part!'
"your expressions have been pretty wild, but you have only been standing at the same spot." said the brown-haired girl who was tying her shoulder-length hair in a small bun.
"oh- I forgot you existed," I said as I looked at her
"eeiiikkk- whats with your eye and face!!?" she said as she made a weirded-out face.
"ahh, its always been like that, it looks pretty cool tho-"
"no, it hasn't! I remember it wasn't this way last night!"
"it's just your imagination" I replied to her nonchalantly as I purchased a black leather eyepatch for my eye from the store, and wiped off the dried blood on my face
It certainly cost me 1DP but it was somewhat necessary since I didn't know any illusion spell which could be cast on a moving object like an eye.
There was also a 1-way vision eyepatch but that cost 10 DP, I casually added that to my wishlist.
I wore the eyepatch right in front of her covering my left eye, it wasn't really that hard getting used to seeing from only one eye, and since the display for the system was essentially projected directly on my retinas, I could technically see the map view from my closed eye.
A pretty good feature of sorts, although it was very hard to focus.
"So, are you coming with me?" Maia said while dusting off her clothes.
"why?"
"well, the guards should be catching up to us any time now, I assume you are on the run too- if I am able to cross the forest, I should reach the Blutona kingdom, which is known for its freedom as more than half the population of the kingdom lives in slums- but I am sure we won't be caught there!" she said in a cheeky tone.
I sighed, do I let her go or not, it was up to me.
I did indeed need a connection and a trusted underling till the time I have enough DP to summon human-like people or that device that I want.
After much internal debating, I decided to take her under my wing.
"hey, what if I told you, you will be perfectly fine here?"
"huh- what do you even mean? even if we aren't found where are we gonna get food in this cave?"
"don't worry about that- just tell me, do you trust me?"
"no-"
"fine then you can go on your own," I said as I took a seat, while I made the pit bigger, I also moved the quicksand so that the people who fall in next will not fall on the adventurers.
"I can't just trust a random person whom I met in a cave even though he can use high-level magic!" she retaliated.
"fair point, but just think about it, if you miss a really good opportunity, not only to just stay safe but to also get revenge."
She took a deep breath, and after a while of pacing around in the cave, she said, "fine! I'll stay but can you promise me I will get my revenge?" she had a determined look on her face.
"I can definitely make that promise, but you will need to help me out."
she nodded "ok-ay! then let me know what I need to do !"
I showed her the solid way in and out of the cave and told her not to take the main path. she never uttered a word and just nodded the whole time I gave her the instructions.
Next, we built a fire right outside the cave and using my plant magic I also put in a shit ton of green leaves on it. while she was surely hesitant about it, once I said that it's all part of my plan she gladly believed me.
Precisely after 5 minutes of heavy smoking, I covered the traces like they never existed, if anyone would have seen them they should come here running.
As I went inside I left Maia outside and asked her to run inside as soon as someone steps into her field of vision.
And sure enough, just after 10 minutes of waiting, Maia came inside running.
"guards! and he is here too-" she said as tears were flowing out of her eyes.
Huh, so he came to get his sword and seems like she is still traumatized.
"don't worry, you will have your revenge," I said as I wiped off her tears.
[ ALERT! 18 INTRUDERS DETECTED!! ]
'hah, this should be enough to buy that.' i thought with a devilish grin.
