THE CHILDHOOD FRIEND AND EX LOVER-

I opened up the map, exactly 15 people in heavy knight armor. 12 of them carrying swords while 3 of them had staves.

In the center of their formation were the main targets.

The brown-haired boy and clinging to each of his arms were two blonde girls wearing frilly dresses. their breasts wrapping around his arms-

'well, I would feel jealous if they wouldn't be walking right into my trap.'

I quickly opened the dungeon store.

50 DP was what I needed to buy that combo and I had just a single DP more than that.

In a few seconds, a bunch of screams could be heard gladly enough only a few rearguard knights were the ones who didn't fall into the pit.

The Saint Knight, was also already in the pit, screaming for help like a crying baby. Guess he still hasn't been put into major real-life situations.

The rest of the knights calmed him down, but the girls were breaking down, not due to the fact that they were in a dark deep pit, but because their clothes got all dirty. I couldn't help but facepalm when I heard them crying about that.

The knights started chanting, but sadly for them, I had already made a magic absorbing array in the pit. Although it could only take a single sage level spell, for people who were only gonna use beginner or maybe intermediate spells, that bad boy could absorb easily a million of them. The knights desperately used their sword skills and even low-level magic like light to try and get out or call for help but to no avail.

Since gobby had already shoved the remaining 5 people in the pit.

The pit was now extremely crowded. with 22 people crammed in a 5m by 5m area, it still had enough space to cram in a few more people, but the quicksand made it feel like it was a lot more crowded.

It didn't take long for the two girls to start hyperventilating when they saw the 4 unconscious adventurers. The saint knight tried to calm them but it only made it worse so he karate-chopped them to make them lose consciousness. I am not so sure if it was a safe move, but guessing from the fact the healers were already healing them, I guessed it was fine.

"What happened to them?" Maia asked with a squeaky voice which seemed new, I mean anyone would be scared if they hear multiple people screaming, and then the screams just get cut off like they never happened.

"They are alive, just in a hole, do you wanna meet that guy?" I asked with a smile.

She clenched her fists and looked up with determination in her eyes and then nodded.

I slowly made a hole right below the guy, and once he was flushed out, obviously with the two girls I closed the hole. now he was in a separate space, only with his girlfriend.

It didn't take me long to make a narrow path to the space they were in, when he saw a pathway open up he gladly went in leaving behind his two girlfriends, which was a low-key good thing.

A few seconds later he entered the room we were in where Maia and I were waiting for him.

"Ma-Maia!? am i dreaming?" he said as he saw Maia.

"Jake-" Maia said as she looked around to look at me, I had already made myself invisible to the person called 'Jake' using illusion magic.

"what do I do?" she said in a hushed tone.

"tell him how you feel" honestly I had no idea what she should do but- that's what I thought would be best.

"Maia!? I am glad you are here! do you know how to exit this place?" He said with a smug look.

Maia nodded.

"Great then show me the way!"

"Y- You said you didn't want to get close to a filthy commoner like me!" Maia said with tears in her eyes.

"Huh- I- I- was just joking- it was just a joke to maintain my image, you know nobles can't interact much with commoners."

"what about the promise you made!?" She yelled at him.

"what promise are you talking about?"

I legit said 'sheeesh' inside my mind.

"You forgot the promise we made? I am not going to help you in any way!" she said as she grabbed my hand.

"You BITCH!" he said as he pointed his sword at Maia "Show me the way or I'll kill you!"

Maia broke down, her former lover was now threatening to kill her.

I finally removed my invisibility.

"WHO ARE YOU!?" he screamed when he saw me.

I instantly used a support magic type called paralyze, which did what it was supposed to do.

Jake was instantly paralyzed, but he was still standing somehow.

I clicked my tongue and decided to dramatize the events and make Maia dependent on me, that way I won't have to worry about being betrayed.

"How dare you make a girl as beautiful as her cry!?"

Maia looked up at me with teary eyes and her innocent face. 'oh boy, I hope I don't regret this.'

I gently wiped off her tears with my thumbs and then pressed my lips against hers. Maia didn't repel me, we just touched our lips for a while, just sharing each other's warmth as she clung to me as tightly as she could.

this chapter was released quite late because, goddam inkstone logged me out when i was at around 600 words and all the progress was lost since i forgot to save, had to write it all again which was honestly painful, although i had my notes to help, i do all the sentence building in inkstone so, yeah, pain-
