Ashen has been in the magic academy for over two years now, yet, his magic skills remain as bad as when he first got there. He is ranked as one of the lowest magic users in the whole academy. He is constantly bullied because of this even his mates and some of his juniors boss him around.


Tired of this miserable life, he saved enough to buy himself a new and popular magical wand rumoured to improve one's magic. 


At the market, a sudden turn of events stirs him towards a different path, one that Ashen isn't convinced is completely safe and free from danger when he unexpectedly becomes the sole owner of the only dragon egg in existence.

A Gift of Fire

Ashen arrived first in the class and after fervently looking around for a vacant seat next to Anared and Natal, he finally gave up when he saw Ara, pointing at a free one beside her, after looking and failing to see one which was surprising since Anared always made sure to keep one for him.

The moment he was seated, he looked in his friend's direction sending a questioning look at them but all Anared did was point at a girl sitting beside him who Ashen found familiar considering that he had seen her hanging out with Ara. Natal also did the same, pointing to another girl sitting on his side which turned out to be another girl in their class who neither of them weren't really familiar with.

"Sorry…but they just sat down and we can't push them off can we?" Anared thought trying to pass across the message to Ashen by making a weird expression on his face. Ashen nodded and simply went ahead and settled on his seat which was right beside Ara.
