Mage Craft Part 2

CHAPTER 14

"Why did you get all gloomy all of a sudden?" I asked him in a little higher tone and excitement as I was hoping for him to talk about how powerful my attribute is.

He got up and fixed his glasses with his hand like those smart anime characters with glasses.

"D-Don't worry about me Laiya I was just depressed because your attribute didn't match mine..." He said weakly.

Kuh..ha- I suddenly felt like an anvil fell on my head.

( That was it!? I sighed, tsk this guy... ) I thought and shook my head helplessly I was excited about nothing...

"If you're wondering what attribute It was, it was a light attribute which is also known to be wielded by angels and only a handful of people have."

"At any rate, try channeling your mana again in it for 5 more seconds" He urged me. "it will determine if you have any attribute left..."

"Alright..." I said and channeled my mana again in it for five seconds longer.

the blinding light that was radiating from the mana stone suddenly settled down and what only remain was a warm yellow light I admired the warmth of it for a while before turning it off.

As I looked in Elrick's direction, I saw him again depressed and on all fours on the ground.

"No way... It can't be..." He murmured on the ground.

I sighed "what's the matter this time." I asked slightly annoyed.

He looked at me blankly, "...Well it's just your second attribute is Holy magic and It doesn't match mine either, and you've been channeling your mana in that mana crystal for more than ten seconds, and nothing changed, which means that's all of your attributes..."

He said depressed before getting up from the ground and fixing his glasses again.

"And besides that, your attributes are all arcane type..."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"What I mean Is, I won't be able to teach you because all your magic are arcane magic, if it was an elemental type of magic I might have something to teach you... but..." He said looking away.

Oh! that's right I remember reading something about arcane magic in a book before.

It said that arcane magic is a none elemental attribute and every arcane attribute are unique.

Certainly, it would be impossible for a magic instructor to teach someone arcane magic given by how many types of arcane magic there are and who will bother learning arcane magic if they can't even use it.

"...I was confident that you'd at least have one elemental attribute who would have thought that you'll have two arcane type attributes..." He said and sighed deeply.

I sighed eternally since it would be harder for me to learn mage craft without a magic instructor.

He looked at the ground and apologized betting his lips.

"I'm really sorry Laiya, but I won't be able to teach you anything about your attribute but don't worry I will teach everything there is about mage craft."

( What a good guy I thought. ) I thought and smiled.

"Thank you, don't worry about it I'll manage somehow."

He sighed depressed "What a shame, and hear I was looking forward to teaching you, what a trashy fate," he said and kicked a rock. "Anyway, don't worry about your Holy attribute because I know someone who can teach you."

"Hm who is it?" I asked

"You know her full well," he smiled "it's Grace he might not look like it but he was once a nun and a disciple of a renowned priestess at the church of light in the Holy Empire."

"Hmm, that's impressive."

"Right? but anyway let's start the lesson I'll ask Grace later."

I nodded and so the lesson started.
