CHAPTER 34

"*Sigh* I'm beat!" I exclaimed and lounged on my soft bed face first before sighing again in relief.

"I'm hungry..." I mumbled as my stomach let out a growl.

"Alright I'm hungry let's get this over with quickly." I talked to myself before reluctantly getting out of my bed.

I then took out the goblin I prepared to test my { Devourer Skill } on.

To my surprise, the goblin didn't smell nor root it was as if it just died moments ago.

"What in the world..." I said in complete wonder before touching my chin trying to find a logical answer.

After half a minute or so of me wracking my brain for answers I finally thought out of logical explanations.

( The inside of the ring doesn't have the necessary elemental ingredients to support life like oxygen and water etc. meaning no organisms can live inside it to eat away this dead Goblin but considering that this Goblin carries blood and bacteria inside it that still can eat away its dead body it is highly unlikely that the absence of organisms caused the goblin to be still fresh.

The best and shortest answer is probably the absence of oxygen although this dead goblin won't last forever the decomposition process will be significantly slowed with the absence of oxygen, as a result, food stored in a vacuum-sealed bag or container will last significantly longer than without. ) I thought and nodded in satisfaction.

Well, that's enough thinking let's get this started.

I opened my status and looked at the skill description of my { Devourer Skill } for the last time before trying it out.

I sighed really this skill description is really really unclear like bro you could have made it more detailed *Sigh*

"Anyway, how do I even activate this." I said scratching my head.

"Devour?" I said unsurely and waited. "Did it not work?" I doubt.

But suddenly as I was about to say another word to activate it out of nowhere the center of my palm split like an eye opening itself before a horrific-looking mouth with fangs appeared on my palm but even before I got the chance to be surprised the mouth opened itself and sucked the Goblin's body in a blink of an eye with such a great force that it seemed more like a tornado.

Before I knew it my head was plummeting down the floor face first.

I tried everything in my strength to somehow break my fall but my body won't respond it was as if my body was in complete shutdown.

And so without me breaking my fall, I fell face-first on the hard floor I didn't even have the strength to let out a moan of pain hell I couldn't feel anything from top to bottom.

( The hell... ) Was the last thing I could think of as my mind was getting fuzzy and all the strength in my body was washed away in an instant as if I just finished running a thousand-kilometer Marathon making my consciousness sink into darkness.
