Chapter 22

Joshua's P.O.V

Precious forced me to get into her house and say hi to her mother and I couldn't escape anymore. Mrs. Simons was the sweetest lady I have ever met but intimidating at times. Precious rushed to her room and left me with her mother in the seating room, Mrs. Simons stared at me with curiosity.

"Can I ask you something?" she asked.

"Yeah, sure," I replied.

"Why are your eyes lime green?" she put the cup she was holding on the table "I mean those can't be human eyes, unless you have contact lenses on."

Since I knew that she had a history with my family, it made perfect sense that she might've known that I was from the werewolf kingdom, that was the only reason she was asking that question.

"Well, uhm," I cleared my throat "these are contact lenses ma'am."

"Okay," she said "there are werewolves out there, I just have to make sure that my daughter is safe."

"She's safe with me ma'am," I replied "you don't think that I'm a werewolf, do you?"

"Well, if you…"

"Mom, did Josh tell you?" Mrs. Simons was interrupted by Precious.

"Tell me what?" Mrs. Simons replied.

"Well, the school has decided to start with the hearings of Precious' case first thing tomorrow," I explained.

"I thought they said," Mrs. Simons paused "wait, why did they change their minds?"

"I don't know," Precious giggled "you should have seen Mr. Johnson's face when he told me about the case. He looked so terrified, like he's seen a ghost."

"Terrified?" Mrs. Simons glanced at me "why?"

"I better get going," I glanced at my watch "I promised my mom some few things, so I must go get them for her."

"Okay, bye Joshua," Mrs. Simons said to me.

Precious walked me out. Deep down I knew that Mrs. Simons had already realized that I was a werewolf. I got into the car, Precious did too.

"My mom likes you," she said.

"You think so?" I asked.

"Yeah," she nodded "with you she'll not all grumpy and mean, she's just sweat."

"Wow, okay," I replied.

"What about your mom?" she asked.

"My mom is kind to everyone," I replied "I will invite you over for dinner one day."

"I'd love that," she blushed.

"Why is it that you've never had sex in your life?" I asked.

"It's weird and disgusting,"

We both laughed.

"It's my first time I hear a girl your age says that," I giggled "most girls your age, have multiple sex partners and yet there's you who doesn't even know how kissing a boy feels like."

"What more can I say," she chuckled.

"I'm a little bit…" my phone rang "I have to take this."

I answered the phone call and it was the werewolf health care facility.

"Hello, your highness," the doctor replied "you need to come to the center right now."

"Okay, I will be right there." I replied.

I hung up, then glanced at Precious who shyly stared at me.

"I have to go," I said.

"Okay see you tomorrow," she kissed me on my cheek.

We locked eyes for a few seconds and then laughed. Precious with her blushing face, got out of the car and I drove away thinking about how perfect that moment was, especially when she kissed me on the cheek.

I was now heading to the health care facility where Angela was. At my arrival, I saw some of my uncle's guards at the entrance. I parked the car and walked into the facility then went straight to the ward that Angela was in and both my uncle and my mom were there, probably waiting for me.

"Hey mom," I hugged my mother.

"Hello boy," she released me from the hug.

"Who is she?" Uncle Bas asked about Angela.

"She's a friend," I replied "she was attacked by one of our werewolves so I had to help her."

"And you never told me about any of this," Uncle Bas raised his voice "I had to find out from someone that Isaac is back and he's hosting his stupid attack parties."

"I'm sorry, it won't happen again," I replied.

"Good," he said as he walked out "I have a meeting with the humans tonight, see you later."

My mom and I were left in the ward as I stared at Angela, while brushing her hand with my palm. The doctor walked in holding a few documents.

"Doctor, how is she?" I asked.

"Well, she's a different breed," he said "she's not changing how a normal werewolf changes, she's pretty much herself and the werewolf DNA doesn't dominate her human DNA."

"What does this mean?" my mom asked.

"It means that she has control of herself," the doctor said "she has total control over her own body and mind. Not even the fool moon can make her change her form. She's the only one who has control over her own transformation."

"Can her blood be used on any other werewolf?" I asked.

"Unfortunately, no," he replied "this is the gift, only she has received."

"She's a rare precious breed," my mom gasped "there's only a few of them in this world but how? If she was bitten by another werewolf she was supposed to change into a normal werewolf."

"That's what we are trying to find out," the doctor said.

The rare precious breed? I had no idea if that thing even existed, it was just a phrase I first saw in Precious' room. My mom squeezed my shoulder.

"Listen kid," she whispered in my ear "you are a very good boy and this kingdom will be in amazing hands but be careful because there are those who might want you out of the throne."

I nodded, wondering why she was saying those words. The doctor signed some forms and then nodded at me after that he left the ward and my mom just gave me a stare with a smile on her face.

"I'll be waiting for you at the reception," mom said as she also walked out.

After my mom walked out of the ward I was left with Angela, I just stared at her as she looked so peaceful in her sleep. But the I wondered, where she got such a wonderful gift, the gift to be able to control her own mind and her human self to be able to dominate. It was my first time in the history of the werewolves seeing such thing.

"What are you thinking about?" Angela said with a smile on her face.

"Oh, you're awake," I said "how are you feeling?"

"I feel okay," she replied "where am I?"

"The werewolf health care facility," I said.

"Whoa, wait," she sat up on the bed "the what?"

"Can we wait for you to get out of here first?" I replied "and then I will explain everything."

She remained quiet out of confusion; I could imagine how she felt at this moment. Probable asking herself where her mom was. After convincing Angela that she needed to wait for a day and she would see her mom and her friends I went back to the car. I couldn't break the news down that she was attacked by a werewolf and now she was turning into one but she was more special than ordinary werewolves in the kingdom.

While we were in the car heading back to the palace, my mom kept on glancing at me with a smile on her face.

"You can say it, mom," I said.

"Is she your girl," she asked.

"Who?" I replied.

"The girl we were visiting right now," she said.

"No, she's friend," I replied.

Mom glanced at me as I continued to drive us back to the palace, I just wondered why my mother would ask such a question. But that's what every mother would do right? We both exchanged looks and laughed out loud, I realized that my mother loved having me around and that way she was happy. Maybe that's why she left my dad and his parents to come live with me in the palace.
