Chapter 28 Dream Heaven

At the height of the mountaintop, a large sphere of light was suspended in the air.

Around twenty or so ordinary people were tied to wooden stakes on crosses, forming a circle around the sphere. Blue spiritual tendrils extended from the victims' facial features, continuously moving in and out, taking with them the mysterious energy of human spirituality to replenish the giant blue sphere in the center.

These victims, some were local fishermen, others were passing merchants whose ships had been attacked by the Dream Heaven. From last year to now, at least a thousand living beings had been sacrificed, though this number was still negligible within the entire East Solomon Empire.

If the extraction of spiritual energy continued for another month, the entire island would soon be pulled to the boundary between reality and illusion, becoming an isolated island in the collective subconscious, an eternal paradise.
