Quirks And Ancestry Part 2.

After getting home Zoro and Granny Chio tried to activate his quirk again to see what it was. Zoro already knew what it was but was playing along as he likes spending time with his grandmother. After 2 hours of summoning his draconian arm they realized he could turn parts of himself into a dragon or something similar. As for the purple haki, Chio figured it had something to do with his form. After a couple hours of practice zoro had already been able to change his arm in under 5 seconds. It wasn't bad for a brand new Power he had just gotten that day so they tried to see what would happen if he hit something with the changed arm. After taking Zoro to a tree in the backyard they tested out a punch at full power, shocking each other when the tree dented inwards a bit. After realizing how strong he could be Zoro became serious before looking at his granny stating "I need to train seriously from now on. Imagine if I activate the change by accident and touched you, you would be seriously hurt." Looking grim.

Granny chio immediately became serious as well. It wasn't often that zoro became like this, he usually had a bored face when he thought she wasn't looking, making her realize that he was constantly fighting off his boredom by doing something. When he became serious, even at the age of four, the air around him changed. He would look at you as if he could see your very soul and you would become heavy as if gravity doubled.

She thought for a moment before stating gently "That's perfectly fine. Before you become too heavily focused on training I would like to tell you about your parents. It's nothing to worry about, I just think you should know about them at least. I looked for them when you were about 2 years old and found some results. Who would you like to know about first?" she smiled when his eyes widened and he gained a glint In his eye.

"I'd like to know about my mother first."he said with an expectant look on his face. After giving him a searching look for any doubt, she saw none. "Your mother's name was Roronoa Makino. She owned a bar in the slums and was a saintly person, her quirk was called soul animal. She could turn into an animal that was her exact match in personality and soul. Her animal was a siren, from what i understand she loved the ocean and took to sailing along the coast whenever possible. That is also how she met your father. I don't know much about him except that he was a swordsman of decent ability but didn't want to stay around. His quirk was called spirit. Not much was know about the quirk itself except that it had been passed through the male line of his ancestors to him. You probably have something like it or related to spirit. After getting your mother pregnant he went out to sea again but was later found to have drowned after a storm caused his ship to capsize. I wanted to tell you but didn't want to cause you any stress before your quirk got here." she finished with a couple of tears.

Zoro was quick to thank her and give hear a hug and rub her back. Even though she had experienced losing her own children didn't mean she wasn't sad about zoro losing his family. She had raised him and it hurt to tell him his loved ones were gone. After gaining back her composure she finally asked an important question. "I know this is alot to take in, but I want to know what you want to do with your life. I will support whatever it is but you must show me your conviction. I know how mature you are and Im glad but I won't let you just Train willy nilly if you dont really want to. what is your dream? something you think you could do without getting bored like you usually do?" she hated asking this but she feels as if her baby boy is growing up to fast. She'll support him no matter what but she need to see that he won't hesitate if he really wants it.

Her own son was a hero for 2 years before he died and she had seen that he truly wasn't happy with his life. He loved his family but he couldn't keep up with that vain nature of the heroes nowadays. After 2 years he was almost a shell of what he had previously been but had died due to a lung infection. After witnessing it first hand she would not let her grandson make the same mistake. Taking a moment to think about himself, he knew his dream may seem boring but he wanted this before he even reincarnated. Opening his mouth the words he speaks fall on the world as if it is already happened "I want...."
