Chapter Seven - Making New Friends

After an hour of endless gawking and endless nervousness, some cutie girls stopped by to see me. They looked very social and so friendly. I felt at ease.

"Wotcha! You must be the tiro that just logged into this high school?" A smiley girl waved at me. I could say nothing but just gape at her. Her moderate-length shatush hair tied into a side ponytail and jade green eyes; such rare features. "I'm Khloé Cooper, these are Caitlyn Jones...and...Shelbie Lune." She introduced, pointing towards the two other girls.

"Hi!"

"Hullo."

Caitlyn Jones was a lightly ginger brunette with pretty borage-blue eyes. Her hair was tied to an exquisite chignon. She looked like an extrovert, noticing from her flashy smiles and restless movements. And Shelbie Lune looked rather lonely but serious. She had that kinda 'bossy girl' look on her fine face, and she had such powerful aura that I could not even reply back to them.

But one thing that awed me or captivated my interest was her lengthy fiery jet-black hair tied into several loose braids with the aid of a carbuncle headband. Amber-hued eyes accompanied her features and thus, I knew she was a pure Betyrian. She possessed those traits of a pure Betyrian — Extreme intelligence, high self-esteem, introverted at times, aura and rarely, eidetic memory.

"We are called THE RESOLUTE." Caitlyn added and smiled brightly again. Of course, I could do nothing but help smile back.

"That sounds like that of warriors... survivors or...competitors..." I said, unsure of what to do or say. I felt gauche on the inside. I wasn't used to friends-making so getting one was a bit complicated and awkward to me.

"Yeah. We are more than warriors, competitors or survivors." Shelbie added. "We are conquerors, we are victors, champions and heroines." She continued with a glint of persistence in her amber-hued eyes. I could feel that burning rage or passion inside her building up and soon again, I was tensed.

And immediately, Khloé came about. "Jemima, do you mind going to the library with us? We have some random assessments so would you mind joining us, please?" Khloé said so as to ease up the tension. She could feel the rough friction between Shelbie and I. Any mortal or mere human passing by my desk could sense some sorta seriousness, hardiness and suffocation in the air.

"Yes." I quickly replied. I couldn't wait to just get out of the suffocating aura. "I love visiting the library." I said, of course as a bookworm, I loved visiting the library every now and then.
