Chapter Thirty-Six — Case Of Kidnap

― —

‣‣AT THE ASSEMBLAGE HALL

‣IN SKYE EVANDER HIGH SCHOOL

In the large hall, Jayden could be seen alone in there with a phone in his hand. He was answering a call. His best friend, Vince called him because he got a very important piece of info from the security and investigation department his elder brother worked for.

"Oh boy! Guess what?!" Vince said with his tone gritted in agitation.

Jayden was already pissed off, "Whatever! I gat no time for guesswork so just hit the nail on the head."

"Okay, if you say so…" Vince answered. "There's a piece of info I just got from my elder brother. It's very vital and so critical…and don't joke with it, okay?"

"All right… so information like what?!" Jayden asked, his ears itching to hear the vital and critical information Vince wanted to say.

Vince cleared his throat up to three times and then blurted out it.

"My elder brother, Manx, told me that there are up to four students missing in Skye Evander High School. He wasn't able to get much info. He only told me that they were all girls."

"Gee! Is that all?" Jayden asked and his own tone was gritted in agitation.

"Nope! There were also intruders in Skye Evander High School, about three boys and three girls. He was guesstimating that one of them might be a student of Skye Evander High School and he or she was leading the other intruders." Vince added.

"Are you serious?" Jayden asked with shock registered in his voice and Vince hummed in affirmation. He suddenly remembered the walkie-talkie in the female restroom that screeched of help and he quickly headed for the female restroom.

"Any other facts?" Jayden asked as he clashed into the crowd of students that were doing their best to avoid colliding into each other.

"Yep. According to what my elder bro said, he also stated that the two out of the three girls destroyed the CCTV footages and oppressed the security workforces." Vince added again, sounding like he was the investigator himself.

But Jayden remained as resolute as he had always done. He was already at the female restroom to look for the walkie-talkie but he didn't find anything at all, anything that looked like a walkie-talkie.

Jayden was in a deep daze but was drawn back by a whoosh sound.

He turned around to see that the smirking Desha was behind him with a walkie-talkie in her hand. The walkie-talkie was somewhat gray and black or a mild combination of the two colors.

"Are you supposed to be here? I thought the vice principal told you personally not to attend the contest at all." Jayden probed Desha but the girl remained dumb. That was very weird because he knew that Desha was bouncy in nature.

But suddenly a silky hand touched him from behind. It was the real Desha Sinclaire. Jayden was not taken aback. He instead gawked at the real Desha who put on a black cloak and the seemingly one beside him that had a walkie-talkie in her hand.

"You got tricks up your sleeves! Bravura!" Jayden complimented and the real Desha giggled. And before he could ask more, Desha disappeared before his very eyes.

"Am I seeing things?" He asked himself after rubbing his eyes, then he turned around to see the seemingly Desha. The girl or impression standing before him was totally cracking like it was suffering from virus.

It was an illusion created to mislead one's thinking but it actually looked very real. Anyone would think that Desha was in the female restroom but she was actually in another place doing underground stuffs.

Jayden got agitated and left the female restroom in a huff. He made sure that no one saw his entrance and exit from the restroom. He didn't want to cause chaos amongst the students.

‣‣AT THE BALLROOM

‣IN SKYE EVANDER HIGH SCHOOL

He quietly strolled to the ballroom and saw that the students were becoming rowdy. It was like something stirred them and they were now becoming unruly for the security workforces to handle. He could guess that something happened to a student and the students were trying to find more about it, especially the intrusive bloggers and reporters.

"What happened?" He asked a frantic girl that was among the crowd of students.

"…actually…the vice principal told us that some students were kidnaped…but they're still doing their possible best to find them." The girl replied.

Just as the girl finished, Malou the blogger butted in, "Yes yes! Juanita is right. Some students were kidnaped and there are no traces about them. Someone said that they were all girls. But there has never been cases of kidnap in Skye Evander High School so why now?"

The frantic girl named Juanita also chipped in. Her voice was shaky and she was scared to the core, "Yeah. I heard that there were intruders too…! One of them might be a student of Skye Evander High School s-so they kidnaped about four students. That's now the t-trending info."

Tapping and swiping on her phone's screen, Malou opened the school chitchat group and showed them the trending news about the case of kidnap in Skye Evander High School.

Juanita was very correct because it was the number one hottest topic in the school's chitchat pages and forums. Students were not left out in sharing their opinions, praying for the kidnaped victims and doing their menial investigations.

Comments were flying in the air in the school pages and forums. This was the topic that has the highest viewers and commenters. Over ten million, with the fact that it was not yet released to outsiders.

----- "This is the first time a student was or students were kidnapped in SEHS? So why now?"

------ "Exactly! This was planned by a student of SEHS or other competing high schools, right?"

These above comments alone had over three hundred thousand comments talking about it.

------ "This is strange! I pray that the girls are safe and those evildoers will be put to shame."

------ "What an uproar! I see this as an act by the school management to gain favors and good name. I won't be surprised to hear that the girls are found already and SEHS will start boasting of their 24/7 security blah blah blah! Besides, who are these so-called kidnaped girls? I can't pray for nonentities anyways."

OMG! The above commenter was razzed by students and received a lot of backlashes but they were still a number of students who supported the commenter. The commenter really had good but crazy points though.

------ "What did the principal said about this dire case? I can't wait to hear her verdict on this case and what is this about the case being made up by the school management to gain tips?"

------ "My father, Mr. Dmitri Hobbes is a private detective in SBP so cases of kidnap are critical and very onerous but who are these victims anyway? Let's start our investigation from there. Is anyone ready to form a mini investigation team with me?"

------ "I just pray that the girls are safe, such innocent girls. But does anyone know about the results of impeccable contest?"

There were still comments everywhere so the school management stepped into this critical case. It was a case of kidnap, life and death and family relationships. They wanted families to be rest assured about the welfare of their children.
