Luna and The Chamber of the sacred Book [2]

"Hey, look at where you're going."

  A hand was placed onto Luna's forehead, avoiding her to bump into the hallway wall and eventually made her to get back to her senses.

   Luna abruptly back away as she place her hand into her forehead, flashing a awkward stiff smile at Remus who has a doubting and worried eyes.

   "Thanks."

   The two who just got back from their garden lesson from Zelde proceeds to walk towards their classroom.

   As they were now on the stairs, Luna became bothered of how she could feel Remus's gaze behind her

  "You seem tir—"

  "I'm fine." Luna Interrupted.

  "Yeah, you do seem fine." Remus sarcastically replied, which made Luna roll her eyes.

   "Yes, yes, I'm fresh as a daisy." She said as she wave her hand off of him.

   "Want to go to the clinic?"

   "..."

  Luna flinch as she pursed her lips, slightly pausing before answering

   "...Yeah."

   Remus scoffed at her reaction. Although, he still pity her current state, just looking at the dark bags below her eyes makes him worried for some reason. They've gotten acquainted with each other and maybe became friends even, all thanks to Rinalyn.

   Perhaps because of that it had affected him emotionally too. It was the similar feeling he felt when him and Rinalyn first met.

    "Want me to carry you there?" He shamelessly blurted out as he extended both of his arms.

   Luna, on the other hand, was creeped out by his action. Where is the bastard that wanted her dead? Where's the Remus she knew that kept on challenging her?

   The translucent screen then suddenly appeared in front of her.

  Her head throb suddenly. Things seems to be escalating too fast than what she originally plan, she thought that Remus will be the most hopeless one, since yesterday his likability towards her was still on -5% and his affection rate was on 0, but would you look at that— such a big progress which is making Luna horrified.

   "You look paler."

   "Shut up, I'll go there alone. Just tell the others I'm sick or what not, ok? Then... bye." She replied.

   "Wait are you sur—"

   Luna didn't let Remus finish, instead she instantly casted teleportation magic.

  However, since she was still getting the hang of using magic by herself, the location she went wasn't exactly the clinic, instead, she teleported right in front of one cherry blossom tree

   Aggressively scratching her head as she cursed repeatedly.

  'I should've brought Agapius.'

   Earlier, she asked agapius to stay behind so that she could independently learn and may do some progress on her power by her own.

  Thinking back, it actually would've been easier if she brought him along, that is if she knew she would be in this kind of situation.

    Due to irritation, she couldn't help but to kick the trunk of the cherry blossom tree in front of her, which she instantly regretted after hurting her foot.

   The tree then shake again without her doing. Suddenly, she could hear someone clicking their tongue and a rustling which seem like someone stood up.

   "Can't even let the person sleep in peace." His voice was raspy, a blue hair then suddenly appeared Together with the fluttering branch of the cherry blossom tree caused by the slight wind that pass by.

   The person who came out from the other side of the tree, his sharp blue eyes glaring at Luna, obviously telling her to get lost.

   For the love of... Out of all people, why him?!

  Luna slapped her forehead then massaged her temple. This made her head ache more, for once she actually would like to see Remus's face rather than his.

   The bell rang indicating the last period for this morning is over. Students stretch their arm in relief as noises filled the room, asking each one for lunch.

   'She's not here...'

   Agapius who was outside of the room took a peek to see his host, but disappointingly she was nowhere to be found.

   Someone then suddenly crouched down in front of him, looking up he saw Rei and the others.

   "Are you looking for Lu?" Asked Rei as she tries to pick up agapius but eventually hissed at her, "You really don't want others touching you, huh? Oh well nevermind, speaking of Lu, where is she?"

   He doesn't exactly wanted for other people to touch him, Agapius was worried that his cover might be blown. Although, that doesn't concern him right now.

   "She Went to the clinic said Remus earlier." Rinalyn responded.

   "Shiki was also absent, you think they went on a date?!" Said Daryll, immersed at his own thought as his eyes widen in excitement.

   "Tsk, tsk, tsk" Rei wanted her finger together as her head slowly shake "My brother? Really? That's Impossible—" she then paused "—right?"

   All the others shook their heads in disbelief.

   "The cat's gone." Said Xavier suddenly as he point where agapius was recently.

   "Must've flee to find her owner." Commented Daryll

   "Did Luna ever said it's gender?" Ask hikari

   "I don't think so. How can you be say 'her' casually, Daryll? That's rude you know." Said Rinalyn.

   "Well... I just assumed...it has Pink stripe— so ya know?"

   "Pink is for everyone! My brother likes pink!" Rinalyn suddenly grab Xavier as she proudly yell those words.

   Xavier flushed as he burried his face onto his hands.

   "Shut up." He mumbled.

   "And I like blue, but majority thinks blue is for boys but no one complains about it. Colors should be for everyone not for girls or boys, if someone likes pink then let them, don't insult blah blah blah..."

   "We're getting lectured by Hyzen again." Daryl said as he scoffed.

   "Don't let her hear you, you know how much she hates her two names." Said Rei as she nudged Daryll beside her who eventually pursed his lips as he put up an ok sign on his hands.

As they got to the cafeteria, they saw two familiar face eating together. Although, the atmosphere around then seem to be obscure.

They were all thunderstruck by the sight of the two. To think the two icy person they knew would dare to eat with one another and be seen cozy about it.

"We'll be freezing once we join them." Suddenly commented by Daryll.

  The others took time processing what Daryll meant. After they realized it, they Burst out laughing, which made other students to be looking at their way along with shiki and Luna.

"It's them." Said shiki as he glance to the others, laughing uncontrollably.

"Pay them no mind. No—it's better to act like we don't know them at all."

"I agree."

It's hardly believable that, me and this obsessive jerk would be getting along, not to mention eating together at that.

Earlier when that—what you call fateful encounter happen. Initially, I plan on leaving and act as if I saw nothing whatsoever, that was the plan. However, I suddenly over heard him mumble something, which eventually piqued my interest.

"What?"

I was startled when he suddenly looked at me with such a fierce gaze. Does he think I'll be taken aback by this? Somehow, this reminds me of myself in a particular scene before.

Ah.

That's right, I too used to give fierce gazes at girls who I feel to be staring at me.

"You said, you'll be infiltrating the library."

For a second, I saw him flinch. It seems like he did not expect such a response.

Well, it's a pity to be with someone who possess to have such a hearing, though, if you ask me, this ability is quite troublesome.

Recently, I found out that this body I posses has a very sensitive hearing. At first I didn't know, for agapius had put a barrier around me to lessen the noise I hear. When Saturday came, and I decided to wander around without him and unfortunately he seems to have forgotten about the Barrier. Arriving at the oval, my ear rang suddenly, and I started to hear people talking when they're obviously not even close to me. I couldn't bear such noises and decided to go back as I run, ears covered by hands.

I then started to ask myself, how could Luna bear with such an ability? I thought that maybe, she had also used Barrier or maybe some kind of earplugs to lessen the noises she hears. Although, I didn't really concern myself into thinking about the matter further.

Though, I must say, this come in handy in times. After I found out about it, i started to wear magical earplugs which can be bought in the administration. I can still hear mumbling till 20 meters, but unlike when I remove it, without the earplugs I could hear noises till 300 meters away, which is very annoying.

"A magical earplugs, huh? I see." He sneered

Looking at his reaction, it seems like he misunderstood. Magical earplugs was said to be use as something that could expand your hearing, it was named earplugs but It had an opposite effect. It's indeed an item made by Agapius.

However, it has a different effect on me, instead of expanding my hearing, it lessen it. Like what an actual earplug would do.

"What are you gonna do about it? I don't really care whether you complain and tell me off to the vice principal; Not that I care, honestly." It was obvious that he's irritated, but his face was stoic, you could only tell how he feel by the tone of his voice.

"No."

"What?"

"I don't know what's your intention to infiltrating the library, but I have the same goal, so..." I extended my hand, obviously asking for a handshake.

"...Wanna work with me?"

He looked at my hand then up to my face. I could tell he had doubts, but not like it seems he does not trust me.

With his stoic face, it's hard to tell what's going on inside his head.

But not a minute later, he took my hand.

"Just don't get in my way."

I put my other hands around his, shaking them aggressively, as I smiled.

"Of course I wouldn't."

Shiki then suddenly snatched his hand, his brows arching, eyes glaring right at me. On the other hand, I continued to smile, who cares if he became irritated?

That conversation took us where we are now. The cafeteria.

"Does Friday night sounds good to you?" Luna asked.

Shiki leaned onto the chair as he look at Luna who was leaning forward arms placed onto the table.

"That's fine." He answered bluntly, shrugging his shoulder.

Luna sighed, such a cold response. This guy seem to be more colder than her. She maybe snobbish as Dizian and as currently, but she was not THAT cold to begin with. 

'He'll be nicknamed as a human air conditioner, I doubt it.'

The atmosphere wasn't awkward, but it was making her uncomfortable. Not only that, she have realized that most table around them was empty. They must have felt his icy cold presence, such a shame.

He then suddenly stood up as he said something in a mumble.

"Meet me at the back of the dormitory, 8 pm sharp, if you see a shack knock four times."

As soon as he said those words, he instantly left. With him leaving was the arrival of the others, they all looked at her with questioning look.

Well, of course they'll be giving her such look. They just caught her being friendly with Shiki who she doesn't even talk to in class nor anytime.

"Did you ask him out?" -Daryl

"You guys dating or what?" - Xavier

"Shall I call sister—in—law now?" -Rei

"I thought you were in the clinic?" -Rinalyn

"What're we talking about?" -Hikari

"Can I have Arlo then?"

Everyone turn towards the last person who spoke which was Remus. Sitting beside Luna as he put his lunch tray on the table.

"Yeah sure." Luna bluntly responded, the others shrug it off as well.

All of them knew Remus's feeling towards Arlo and they aren't prejudice about it at all. Daryl and Xavier even cheer him up when he looked trouble confessing his true self and now he began to be shameless about it.

Time pass by it was now 7:56 pm.

As of now, Luna was changing into a black t- shirt and gray pants she then put on a cotton jacket. Heading out of her room, she saw the four girls on the sofa watching her as she pass by them.

"Where you going?" Rei asked, munching Dorito chips while she was in an Indian sit on the couch.

"Just... outside, I just wanna get some fresh air." Luna excused as she then bud her later to the four of them.

Luna did what she was told, stealthily walking towards at the back of the dormitory, turning on her phone's flashlight as her source of light together with the moonlight.

She then began to roam around , flashing her light around. The light then hit a wooden shack. Luna instantly approached as she examines the place.

The shack seems to be made with the similar wood as the flooring of the academy. It seems to be hiding but because of the glistening wood it became rather apparent. 

Advancing towards the door, Luna roam her eyes once again to check her surroundings, making sure that no one sees her. She then sighed clenching her hand as she started to knock exactly four time as Shiki told her to.

The shack door open making a creepy creaking sound. Luna then entered and gently closes the door, as soon as she turn around, a florescent light greeted her illuminating every corner of the room. What if someone find them? Fortunately, there was no window, except at back of the shack. It was almost like a place made for kidnapping and torture.

In the middle of the room was a table full of paper. Blueprints. On the corner was also a pile of papers, at the back of the papers there she saw Shiki crouching as he seem to be making an outline.

Noticing someone looking at him, he immediately looked up and saw her.

"Oh you're here, a minute earlier than I expected." He said going back to what he was doing, not taking his eye from the paper.

"You probably thought I'll arrive later than the initial time. What are you doing exactly?"

Luna approached the table as she picks up a blue paper white floor plan and building design. Looking at what he's doing it seems to her that he's doing another floor plan. Luna couldn't help but thought that, Shiki would probably no doubt take architecture if he were ever to be on her world.

"I'm doing the floor plan of the library."

With that respond, Luna crouch down to see the outline more clearly. She then noticed something peculiar. Luna pointed of what it seems like a attached room on the library.

"This is..."

It was no doubt the chamber she went last week. To think this man would know this much. Luna then got an idea of what his purpose on the library.

Could the chamber  also be his goal? 

"That's a passage from another room. A room where they hid a sacred book, I've went there to take a look unfortunately, the book was guarded by a barrier which electrocute anyone who tried to touch it. However, that's not my goal in the library."

A barrier? She remembered no such thing. Could it be because she was with agapius and that he was able to nullify the barrier for her? That could be the case. 

"My goal is to get a hold of an important document from the librarian's desk." He suddenly said which shock Luna.

To think he'll actually tell me his true intentions.

"I see, my goal is obvious."

"No, it's not."

Luna then looked at him with blank face.

"The sacred book of the chamber, that's my goal."

"Even if you successfully got in, you wouldn't able to get your hand into the book that's why give—"

"I read the first content of the book."

After hearing her response, Shiki was perplexed that he gave immediate attention to Luna, as he sat down.

"What? But how?"

"Don't you remember I have a divine beast with me?" Luna said confidently as she smirk at him.

Well, it was obviously a lie—partly a lie. Agapius was indeed in a divine beast form, but he was a God. But of course no one would believe her if she were to reveal that.

Luna told Shiki the first content of the book. She was quite surprised how he was paying attention to all she says about the ability Take over, only one thing came to mind to her at that time. Rinalyn. That was all she could think of, but to be able to share information of the sacred book could also pique someone's interest, but it was different for this man. He seems to be obviously interested in another thing.

Their conversation went on, luna told Shiki all about Take over, but did not mention the content she read after. Although, she did told him that the remaining pages was blank.

"You're saying that if a person with such ability cannot control those demons, they'll die?" He said confirming what he have heard. His tone was still dull.

"That's what it stated, yes." Luna responded.

"She's in danger then..."

Luna heard him mumbled, she did not dare to question him, for she knew who he was referring to. Shiki seem to know Rinalyn's ability, well they seem to be close friends before, that's why it's probably normal to know their ability.

It was the first time Luna, felt pity for a man. Well she did with Anthony but this was a different situation. He pities both Shiki and Rina, they're in a conflict and yet he still worries about her.

'They're really making me drown in curiosity, damn. '

Suddenly, in a blink of an eye they are now outside.

Both Shiki and her was dumbfounded by what happened, none of the two casted any magic, so how could this happen?

'Tsk, tsk tsk. You two are careless, even you! You're bestowed with such hearing and yet you still can't hear someone's approaching you? My goodness!'

Luna was startled by the sudden scolding voice. She then saw something glow above them, it was agapius, he looked at her with a scowl.

"Someone's here." Whispered Shiki.

Indeed, Luna could hear grass rustling. She then heard a knock on the shack, ah, Luna couldn't help but feel nervous. Door opening could be heard by then.

It was quite a good thing they're outside of the shack, if someone saw them both alone, who knows what kind of nasty rumor would be in the morning.

"Oh sh*t! What the f*ck?!" Yelled the person who entered the shack.

Ah.

The blueprints!

She looked at Shiki who has a paper on his hands, it seems like the one he was doing currently.

"It's fine, the floor plans left inside wasn't needed anyway. They're my previous draft, so they're useless."

They then heard the door shutting with a loud bang. The person could also be heard to be cursing repeatedly, holding a rolled papers on his hand. Seems like he took some of the floor plan that was scattered.

Once they confirm that the person was gone they immediately, went out of hiding near a Nara tree on the left side of the shack. Agapius then revealed himself.

"So it was this little thing's doing, it must've cared for its master to arrive at the perfect time."

If he knew what really their relationship was he wouldn't say such things. It's more of like she's the pet while agapius was the master or She's a prisoner and he was the jail.

"By the way, what's that thing's gender?"

'How rude!' Exclaimed agapius as he hissed at Shiki.

"He's male."

"I see, divine beast was said to be genderless. Only those who hear their voices could know what their gender truly is."

"It's fine, female or male, I don't really care."

Agapius who kept on hissing suddenly used teleportation magic to Luna, now she got transported into her room.

"That was rude of you, I know you're embarrassed about the question, but teleporting me so suddenly is too much, don't you think?"

As Luna took her jacket off and hang it on wall, she threw herself on the bed looking at the ceiling.

'I acted in an impulse, but that's not the reason why I did that! I could hear someone approaching so of course I would take immediate action!'

"A person? How come I didn't hear them?"

'They're using aera. They were approaching from above so of course you wouldn't hear them, if you do, you probably would think that it's only a wind.'

Luna became silent, well, what he said was true as well. Her hearing was still new to her and she haven't got accustomed to it yet, if she were able to know how to handle her hearing then it'll be a great accomplishment for her.

"Sure, I'm going to sleep."

'Dress like that?'

Luna didn't bother to answer, she was too tired to even open her mouth and change.

And for some reason she somehow felt anxious.

Morning came and alot of students have gathered in the auditorium. An announcement was made during their 2nd period for them to gather at the said place.

Marvin, who was sitting at the edge of the stage, swaying his legs front to back, his flipflops hitting the wooden wall below. On his hand was a microphone.

Once everyone have entered, he stood up and, lights being turned off and a projection of an image flashed onto the stage wall.

A blueprint of the school floor was seen, it was exactly 4 papers lined up, 2 at top and 2 at bottom. It was detailed too, each place was named and had a description nonetheless, they blurred it for privacy.

"Uh, so a student reported this earlier at the administration office—sorry, my office I meant. He had said that the shack behind the dormitories was also full of blueprint of different places. This one floor plan was rather too detailed compare to the others. We are not entirely sure if this was just made for fun or a plan for infiltrating the academy. The owner seem to have gotten away, but we found another piece of floor plan on the left side of the shack, which seems to be an unfinished draft. That is why, whoever made these, please come to my office after and explain yourself."

Marvin showed the picture of the library, cutting the chamber on the image. It was after all a secret.

"Should we be scared?" Suddenly said by Hikari.

"I don't know, but to think someone has a keen memory to make such a detailed floor plan." Rei respond.

Luna who was at the edge near the stairs was silent, glancing towards Shiki who was sitting in front of Rei. He seemed clam, so was she. Although she was quite anxious at first.

They plan on turning their selves in.

After the 20 minute announcement, Luna made an excuse to go to the bathroom. She then immediately went to the office of the vice principal. Once she arrived there also stand Shiki, as if he was hesitating to go in.

The two nodded to each other as Luna was the one who pushed the glass door open.

"Excuse me si—"

"Ah geez, you lost the ring?! Seriously? Again?!"

Someone suddenly shouted cutting Shiki off from speaking.

"Hey calm down, it's just probably on our room. Don't jump into conclusion, it was a joke before, who knows if I'm joking or not."

As the two continued to advance to the shouting, they saw Marvin and Zelde together. Zelde was sitting on the couch, legs wide open as he was crouching his elbow resting on his legs and his hand was covering his face.

"Good morning, sir..s." Luna intervening as she greeted them with a stoic face.

"O-oh good morning, what is your purpose here?" Said Marvin stutter as his eyes look back and forth to Zelde who was now sitting up with a scowl.

"I'm the owner of the draft that you let the student see earlier," He said straight to the point, "she's my subordinate. And we do not really plan on infiltrating the whole academy, the only place we  plan to infiltrate is the library."

Luna was perplexed, 'Did he just reveal their plan? Is he an idiot wearing a smart ass mask? And me a subordinate? Seriously?'

Zelde and Marvin looked at each other then to the two.

"May I ask why?" Asked Zelde.

Shiki looked at them before saying anything.

"There's a document the librarian stole from our house, I plan on getting it back."

"A stolen document? Dayzen did? That's such a surprise. She do look young and suspicious but to think she'll steal something." Commented Zelde, eyes widen as he shook his head in disappointment.

"What about you Ms. Vermillion?" Suddenly asked Marvin.

Luna clenched her hand, biting her lips as she looks down before answering the question asked.

"I... I wanted to read the fifth chapter of the sacred book."

The two adults were thunderstruck by the confession she had made.

Ah.

It's over. Now, she'll really be band from the library and she would probably be on the suspicion list of the academy—if there was such a thing to begin with.

The silence was unnerving, Luna then decided to lift her chin up. Her confession seem to have a big impact on both of the adults.

"Hmm... The scared book? Why and how did you read it, surely there was a barrier guarding the book." Said Zelde with a frown.

"The divine beast led me there and helped me, he nullified the barrier." She said, of course it was a lie, but agapius helping her was indeed a fact.

"Then, what have you read?" Asked Zelde.

"I've read all the first content of the book it was all about the ability called Take over which centered around demons. I happen to be researching for ancient magic when a book mentioned about the ability and while roaming into the library I came across a lone bookshelf across the dim corner of the library, the shelf it self seems to be not intact. After the librarian saw me, she threw me out then banned me the next day."

"And then you infiltrated the library at night?" Marvin asked and Luna nodded as a response. "I see."

"Goodness, if someone knew you were in there, surely you'll be called into the principal's office." Said Zelde worriedly.

"Say..." Suddenly Marvin stood up, smirking as he look at the kids.

Zelde jolt back up as he scowl and said;

"Marvin, don't you dare!" In such an aggressive manner.

However, Marvin ignored him. His smirk grew bigger, Luna could tell he was planning on something based on his expression. A mischievous smirk and determined eyes.

"How about I tell you, an easier way to infiltrate the secret chamber."
