Little Dray had woken up the next day, he stood up and walked towards Nephenia's room to check if she was okay.
There she laid, her eyes tightly closed. Her hair sticking to her pale skinned face.
He swallowed hard on seeing her and tears began to stream down his face, he walked forward and sat down beside her bed.
' Why did I introduce the game to her ' he thought crying.
He had decided he was going to stay with her till she gets better, so he buried his face in the bed as he cried profusely.
He was feeling so much guilt as he was the one who had introduced the game to her, he knew he should have stopped the game earlier that day.
But he was so lost in the game that they had run far away from their house and she had fallen down and gotten unconscious.
" aaah!!" Dray screamed as he jerked his body.
Something or someone had touched him.
He turned around to check what it was.
When he saw his parents towering over him.
His face flushed red in embarrassment on sighting his parents.
' You're such a coward Dray '
' How will you protect your sister if you're scared of a little touch? '
He was so lost in his guilt that he hadn't noticed his parents who had been standing in the room with them.
" Father"
" Mother"
" Will she....be okay?" he asked with teary eyes.
His face messed up with tears, Catarrh could be seen dripping down his nose.
" She's Fine Dray, she just needs to rest"
" Follow me, your mother wants to check how she's doing"
Dray nodded.
He stood up and left with his father.
Daryc took him to his room and made him sit on his bed.
" Don't worry she's okay and just needs rest "
" Soon she will be up and full of energy once again....Okay?"
Dray nodded.
" Now wipe off your tears and go get some rest, you must be tired"
Dray heeded to his father and laid on his bed, wiping off the tears on his face.
*********
Dray had been thinking for hours now and had no idea how long he had been sitting there.
He had been feeling guilty since the incident that had happened.
His parent had left for their jobs which they barely talk about, so it was just he and Nephenia in the house.
'I think I should go check if she needs anything '
He stood up from where he had been sitting for hours and walked towards Nephenia's room.
" Neph!"
"Neph!!"
He called out as he walked towards her room, as he got to the door.
He knocked
"Nephenia, are you in there?"
No response.
He placed his hand on the door knob, turned it and walked in.
" Nephenia?"
Looking around the room there was no one inside.
' Geez.....where did she go '
He sat heavily on her bed crestfallen.
" I was so lost in thought that I had forgotten to keep an eye on her"
" Where Could she be now?" he asked rhetorically.
Then a thought had hit him.
" The Meadow "
" Why haven't I thought of that since?" he asked hitting his laps with clenched fist.
He quickly got up, walked into his room to have a change of clothes.
Then his eyes landed on his sword.
He walked towards it and picked it up, sheathing it into his scabbard.
" For safety " he muttered then turned to leave.
He had discovered the meadow when he was younger, and had always loved to go there anytime he wasn't feeling so well.
The Serenity of the Meadow makes him feel better and he loved to watch the meadow's picturesque view.
Which was pleasingly beautiful to the eyes.
One day while he was returning back from his Solace Zone, he had met Nephenia outside sitting outside the house as usual his parents wasn't home.
He felt sad on seeing his little sis in that lonely condition and had decided to show her what he had discovered.
Later that day, he had taken her there and she loved the place and grew fond of it.
Since then If she wasn't home and had left without a note, Dray knew where to find her.
But today he was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't think straight
*********
" ah....Almost there" Dray said walking through the woods towards the meadow.
As he walked on the environment began to change, as the shrill noises of animals could nr longer be heard.
Beautiful flowers had replaced the ugly looking shrubs and the melodious chirping of birds had replaced the eerie noises of other animals.
As he walked on, he could feel himself finding peace within him.
A smile could be seen plastered on his face.
The meadow does have it's own soothing power.
He had gotten to an open field and had sighted Nephenia from afar, he was happy she was safe.
And had wanted to run towards where she stood when he noticed something.
Nephenia wasn't safe.
Something was there with her.
At first he hadn't noticed the third party as he was only focussed on getting to see Nephenia.
But now looking in the direction where Nephenia stood, he could see it clearly.
Something hideous was standing afront her and without thinking of himself, he ran towards them unsheating his sword.
' I won't let you get hurt again ' he thought running towards the beast.
