Chapter 12

'Thank you, Karyl. You are the only one who loves me sincerely and is always there for me. Even though I have troubled you many times.' She muttered in her heart.

--

No one knew how long that Flower had been in Karyl's arms. What was clear was that the woman could give her a sense of peace. Some people might think that these two women were sisters considering the closeness was very close.

The relationship between Flower and Karyl was very different from Rose. In fact, the two of them were never seen walking together. Their relationship permanently coloured with quarrels. And the fight was because of Jason. A handsome man Rose loved while still attending the same University. Unfortunately, his love was not on her side but her sister, Flower Carnabel.

"How long are you going to keep hugging me like this, huh? Get out of the way! You're heavy, Flow."

"Ish, you. My slender body can't be heavy. What a mess."

Flower hit Karyl's head. "It looks like your brain needs surgery to get it right."

"Flow!" Karyl growled.

Flower giggled as her footsteps left Karyl.

"Where are you going?"

The one who was asked did not answer. Not only did she not answer, but she also didn't even glance at her.

"Deaf bastard," Karyl cursed.

A few moments later, Flower returned with two cups of warm tea.

"For you." She gave it to Karyl.

"Thank you." Karyl kissed her best friend's cheek and also her model briefly.

"Ish, this is your bad habit, Karyl. You always like to kiss me. If anyone saw it, they would think we're-"

"Lesbian? Is that what you're trying to say?"

"If you already know the answer, why are you still asking? You idiot!"

"You stupid!" Karyl growled.

Flower was annoyed. "You just call me stupid. You know what, Karyl? I got cum laude in college."

"That's just your hallucination, Flow. But there's no evidence."

"Ish, you're always annoying." Flower growled as she rubbed Karyl's hips with a look of disapproval.

"Leave my apartment, now!"

"I don't think you have the heart to kick me out, Miss Flower." Karyl was annoyed, and at the same time, her phone rang.

"Ish, who calls me? So annoying."

"Who?" Flower asked.

The one who was asked seemed to have a faint smile on her face.

"Wait a minute, please," Karyl answered as she left Flower to talk to someone via telephone.

A few moments later, she returned with an unreadable expression, and of course, this made Flower engulfed in worry.

"Who called you?"

The asked one did not answer except glancing at Flower before reaching for her car key and favourite bag.

"I am leaving."

"Wait a minute, Karyl! Who called you? Tell me!"

"Should I tell you everything, Flow?!"

"I didn't mean to meddle in your personal affairs. But you are my only family right now. So it's normal if I'm worried."

Karyl's gaze warmed. "No need to worry. I'm home. See you tomorrow at BM Magazine, Flow."

Flowers nodded.

Her gaze lingered on the frail back that was starting to move away from her. Even when the owner of the slender body was no longer visible, her gaze was still locked in the same direction.

'I know that something's happened that you're trying to hide from me, Karyl.' Flower whispered in her heart.

Now, Flower spoiled her eyes with the following photoshoot schedule.

"It means the day after tomorrow I have a photoshoot with ..." She immediately stopped the sentence. Her hazel eyes repeatedly blinked to convince herself that what she was reading was not wrong.

"I can't believe this. So I have a photoshoot the day after tomorrow with Mr Demitri Hamilton? A top supermodel is currently on the rise and is loved by women."

Flower patted her own cheek. "Oh my God, what dream did I have last night to have a photoshoot with Mr Demitri Hamilton?"

Imagining one frame with Demitri really made her dreams soar. "Uh, I can't wait until the day after tomorrow."

Her hazel eyes were still shrouded in a happy glow over the disbelief that still resided in her heart. Unfortunately, her beautiful dream was not in line with a guest who visited her apartment tonight.

"You! What are you here for, huh?" I've asked you not to set foot in this apartment."

"Talk too much! Get out of the way!" He growled. At the same time, he half pushed Flower's slender body to give him an opening to enter her apartment.

Flower was immediately angry that she shouted. "How dare you enter my apartment. Get out!"

Unfortunately, Darren just ignored her. Without respect, he went straight into the woman's room.

The corners of his eyes looked around. "Where's my phone?" He continued in his heart.

Meanwhile, Flower seemed to be grumbling. Her chest heaved up and down at Darren's arrogance, who had entered her private area.

"Shittt, I never thought a billionaire like you lacked ethics."

Now, Flower Carnabel's patience has run out. Honestly, she disliked men who act very presumptuously, let alone go beyond the boundaries of privacy.

"Get out!" Flower pushed Darren's muscular body.

Being pushed suddenly and without any preparation has made the burly body stagger backwards.

Darren didn't like being treated disrespectfully by a stranger. It made him angry to the point of giving her a deadly glare.

"What a despicable woman. How dare you push me."

Without the slightest fear, Flower looked on her hips by raising her face to challenge the man. "A lowly man like you deserves to be pushed. Oh, one more thing. Not only pushed, but thrown from the highest floor." She sneered.

"You!"

Darren' sturdy hand was swinging in the air to caress a smooth white cheek, but the movement was bearable. After all, Darren Ewald Gilbert never wanted to be rude to a woman, especially a foreign woman who was kind enough to help him when he was losing his sanity due to drinking too much.

"Why did you stop, huh? Slap! Come on, slap me!"

Darren didn't answer. He remained silent by closing his lips tightly. Meanwhile, Flower was still furious.

"Oh, I know. A man like you must really maintain an image so that the whole world knows you as a perfect man and women are crazy after you, isn't it? Answer!" She snapped.

Unfortunately, Darren was still silent. The man had closed his lips tightly with a gaze that was difficult to read.

Flower seemed to be squeaking in annoyance at Darren's attitude, who was trying to maintain his image.

She then leaned her face forward rhythmically in a whisper. "Stop pretending to act as if you are a gentleman because, in reality, you are terrible, lacking in ethics, lost in gratitude and definitely DISGUSTING!"
