"Did you hear that?" Julianna asked, sitting up in the bed. They had been laid there for a while, unable to sleep.
"Yeah...it's probably just my Grandad. Don't worry about it." Marcus reassured, though he was pretty unsure himself.
"But..." Julianna began to protest, unsure of what exactly she was supposed to say.
"If you're that worried, I'll go check it out. But you stay here." He sighed, throwing back the covers and throwing on his bed clothes before exiting the room.
He walked cautiously down the hall, his wolf senses on high alert, and then made his way down the stairs. Looking around, he noticed nothing out of the ordinary. Rolling his eyes, he was about to head back upstairs when he heard a familiar voice call his name.
"Marcus." The voice said, loud and clear.
Turning back towards the direction the voice came from, he finally saw who was behind the loud crashing sound they had heard only moments before.
