Chapter 6 Inner Demons

As she had began her transition, she had requested that Marcus left the room. She did not want him to watch what she had seen Joshua go through.

Following her request, he had done exactly that. He had exited his bedroom and gone downstairs to the dining hall. He sat down at the table, his headphones in his ears, with Imagine Dragons song 'Demons' filling his head. Giving up the last of his strength, he broke again and cried his heart out. This time for worse reasons.

He was crying for the perfect family that he no longer had.

He was crying for the happy person he used to be instead of this broken shell of a person.

For all the Joshua and Julianna had lost. For how far he had fallen and how empty his life felt. For all the pain he felt, and for the mass of losses he, and those around him had been through.

Most of all though, he was crying in fear.
