Chapter 45 A Nervous Wreck

Marcus slammed his fist down on the desk as he crossed out yet another opening line to the speech that he was trying to write ready for the pack initiation ceremony.

He just couldn't get the right words down on the paper. They were stuck in his head somewhere but just weren't presenting themselves to him. He had never given a speech before and so didn't have much experience when it came to writing one. Of course there was always the practice exams at school that he would have to structure a speech - but that just wasn't enough.

Too many thoughts were going through his mind and he couldn't slow down the thinking process which led to his head becoming clogged like a sink full of hair. He needed a way to get rid of them...and fast.

Pulling one of the desk drawers open, he reached inside and pulled out another book - this one blue and bound by a magnetic clasp - and opened it up to the first blank page.
