Chapter 44 A Moment Of Peace

For once in their lives...everything was quiet. Peaceful. Despite all that had happened, things were beginning to look up for them all.

Whilst the other three were out, it gave Marcus and Julianna the time together that they were so desperately craving. The time that they hadn't had access to because of all the craziness of their lives.

A smile escaping his lips, he sat back on the sofa as their movie began. He opened out his arm for her to move closer to him, which she did.

They sat watching the movie intently, knowing the others would be a while. Both were lost in their own thoughts though.

As the movie progressed, Marcus couldn't help but feel contented. He had learnt to be grateful for what he had, and that's exactly what he was now. Even after everything that had happened between them, they were still here and despite all the mistakes that he had made, she still loved him deeply. He truly couldn't ask for anything or anyone better.
