Brenda must have dozed off. She was woken up by the humming of the television. Then she heard her phone ring. She quickly dashed for the phone, it was Lewis number. She scrambled off her lying position and spoke into the phone. It was a gruff voice, not anything like her father s.

"I don t think that s what you should be concerned about." The gruff voice responded; without waiting for her to reply, he gave her instructions and an ultimatum of four hours.

"Can – can I speak to my Dad?" she stuttered into the phone

"Sure, I can even do better" the phone went dead.

She looked at the phone worriedly as if she could by a magic wand get to the phone s location. Maybe she would have been able to, if the gruff-voiced man hadn t been smart enough to switch the location off.
