Chapter 9 *** Wedding With The Beast ***

" Do you take Lucien Xander Mitchell as your lawfully wedded husband, Miss Isabella Adams?", the priest chanted the last question of their vows.

Isabella stood there absentmindedly. The day of their wedding had come sooner than she expected. As soon as her father sent the message to Lucien that they were agreed with his proposal more likely a business deal, Lucien made no delay in marriage. Right after two days later on, their wedding venue were arranged simply outside of Isabella's house. Her parents wandered why did Lucien wanted to keep the wedding a secret. Appearently he was the infamous CEO of town right away. His followers would have gone insane in happiness that their honourable CEO was finally married. But they had no other choice but to follow Lucien's order. Except Caroline and Mia, only few neighbors were present as the audience of their wedding.

Drapped in a long transparent milk-white veil, Isabella was looking like a fairy from tales. The blue diamond necklace around her collarbone highlighted the beauty of her skin. Painted lips with shimmer pink gloss, her beauty was breathtaking.

Hearing no response from her, the priest repeated his words. Lucien sent her a warning look. Dressed in white suite and a colorful bruise on his left pectoral, he was looking nothing less than a king he was. His dark eyes laid on her, silently asking her to agree. He wanted to end the rituals as soon as possible. His entire family over there was expecting to meet their new queen.

Lucien scooted closer, kept his voice low that could be heard between them only,

" If you think that your silence would change anything, you are only wasting both of our time. I am sure that you must have gained enough knowledge from those books that how werewolves claim their mates. So Isabella, I am suggesting you to behave properly for the sake of our mutual purpose."

Lucien stepped back with a knowing smile. Less than a few seconds, Isabella's cracking voice echoed in the ear,

" I..I...I..d..do.."

Her chest tightened in pain. She just wanted to yell at her own fate that why was she destined to marry a creature. On the contrary, Lucien was having the exact opposite reaction. His wolf howled in joy, purred in extreme happiness when his mate finally agreed to become his officially. Not much Lucien's human side cared too much since he had inserted the thought inside his mind that everything was happening just because they had a faithful mate bond.

Cheers of clap thundered around when the event came to an end. Isabella forced a smile for the audience out there. Caroline and Mia were extremely happy for their best friend. Coming over to greet the newly wedded couple, Caroline couldn't help but shamelessly taking her credit,

" Look, Look! I just did a perfect match. Come on, brother-in-law. You both should give me a treat."

Lucien pulled his lips into a smile. Indeed if Caroline didn't invite Isabella in her home party, nothing would have happened between them. To show respect to his mate's close friends, Lucien returned a friendly smile,

" Of course! Anytime, Caroline and Mia, you too! "

Both of them giggled together excitedly. Only Isabella was in dense silence. Her thoughts were all occupied with the upcoming days that she was going to live with this beast.

*******

Isabella had taken her leave from her parents house. With a heavy emotional heart, she drove for Lucien's mansion for the first time. Her entire journey was spent in silence. Though Lucien was sitting right after her, the man seemed unapproachable. He had always an aloof expression plastered on his face that barely made anyone comfortable to initiate a chat.

Suffocating in this all weeping silence, the journey finally ended as the car parked in front of a blue walled mansion. Vincent had come out to open the door for Isabella.

Once she hopped down, an old lady was spotted at the entrance. As their eyes met, Isabella felt a little uncomfortable. From the look of her eyes, Isabella could assume that the old woman didn't like her presence.

Lucien's cold voice commanded reffering at Vincent,

" Take her upstairs! "

He didn't even bother to introduce her with his mother. Mrs. Mitchell was firmly against this marriage and he was quite assure that Isabella wouldn't receive any warm greeting.

Isabella walked past of Mrs. Mitchell slowly. A part of her wanted to speak but the woman moved away from there. Leaving with no choice, Isabella could only follow Vincent upstairs silently.

Upon entering into the mansion, she found the entire mansion empty. Except this three, no one else lived here possibly. The walls were all painted with blue, spotless, clean as if the owner had a great observation towards cleaning. The paintings were all so weird and scary. Wolves chasing human were common in those paintings.

Isabella swallowed down the discomfort in her heart and followed Vincent upstairs who led her inside the room. Putting her baggage aside, Vincent spoke bowing his head a little,

" Your Highness! This is his highness's room. You will stay here with him. Do you need anything else?"

Isabella furrowed exhaling and ordered calmly,

" Please quit calling me, that. I am not any highness."

How could she accept his Royal title when she didn't even accept this marriage wholeheartedly?

Vincent was surprised a little. Without arguing much, he only stated his reason with an awkward smile,

" That's what we are supposed to call you or else Lord might think that we are disrespecting your status."

Isabella only sighed out helplessly. Feeling tired after an exhausted day with all those rituals, she dismissed him in a soft voice,

" You can leave. I don't anything for now."

**********

Lucien was getting prepared to head upstairs. As his feet had been lifted to take the stairs, Mrs. Mitchell's commanding voice stopped his track,

" Lucien! I know that you have your reasons of marrying that human girl. But falling for her would only bring disaster in your life. You have to understand that human should be controlled by us or else they will use us as their weapon. You know that mom worries about you, isn't it Son?"

These were the precious that he was taught before going to meet his bride on the first day of their wedding night. Lucien replied in a promising voice,

" I get it, mother. She will obey us always."

Isabella came out of the bathroom after changing the heavy gown from her body. Her soul felt free after putting off the heavy materials from her body including her wedding ring.

To refresh her heavy mind, she paced for the corridor and left the door opened unknowingly. As she stood on the corridor and welcomed the chilling wind of night, a voice pulled her out from her thoughts,

" So eager to get rid of your wedding gown? Was that too bad?"

A gasp came through her lips. Turning around to face the creature who was still dressed in their wedding suit, Isabella replied arranging her words correctly,

" A little burdensome."

Lucien's eyes narrowed slightly at her addressing. Naturally a king of werewolves wanted submission from everyone around him. As Isabella didn't greet him courteously, his pride was slightly hurt inside.

Lucien spoke fondling with his suit annoyingly,

" Come inside! Let's talk, mate."

Isabella compelled and rebuked while entering,

" Please just call me, Isabella. I don't like the word 'mate.' "

Lucien's expression dropped once again. Inhaling a deep breath to restrain his anger, he replied hoarsely,

" Let me teach you few lessons, first."

His mother was totally right about this humans. They were more unruly than other creatures from his world. Not only she didn't call him 'Your Highness', she even refused to hear such holly word like 'Mate.'

Lucien walked over to his mini bar space stationed at a corner. Only then Isabella found out that he had his own collections of wines inside his room. Trailing him off closely, Isabella followed his path and sat beside him with a thud.

Lucien asked, reaching out to pour two glasses for them,

" What do you think about me?"

Isabella blinked few times nervously. Ignoring his heated eyes on her, she mumbled truthfully,

" A beast, Creature."

" And??", Lucien demanded with a poker face, eager to hear more.

Isabella replied bringing her eyes up to lay on him boldly,

" Not my husband type, a psychopath beast who forced me to marry him."

Lucien was stunned for a while. No one ever dared to speak to him like this. Before Isabella could register what was going to happen, she was lifted bonaire. Then she was dropped roughly over the counter by Lucien. Settling himself between her thighs, Lucien asked more likely an animalistic growl,

" Now repeat! What do you think about me, mate?"
