'I wanna make you mine but that's hard to say'
Elijah grunted as one of them punched him in the face. He knew he wouldn't be able to take any of them all on his own but one thing he was sure about, neither one of them would kill him.
He instantly regretted the decision of leaving house hours ago and he was still not over the fact that Sarah would be all alone. It was not like she was in some danger but leaving her alone in night didn't set well with him. But now there was no going back, was there?
"I'm fine. Thanks for asking, dear brother." Elijah groaned as another kick send him flying backwards, colliding his body with rock hard wall.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Draven snarled as he landed another punch to his sculpted face which was covered with crimson decorative colour of Elijah's blood. The blood was seeping through his cheeks and his body was already sore. He could feel his insides beings ripped.
"Come on, Lucifer! Don't give me that look, just say it." Elijah said as he wiped the blood with back of his hand, smirking at Lucifer.
Lucifer was standing near wall with arms crossed over his broad and toned chest, glaring daggers at Elijah who was getting beaten by Draven. If looks would kill, then Elijah would already be six feet under looonnnnnng ago.
Elijah knew that the stars might be laughing at him. The sound of music coming from club was loud and clear and the darkness of alley was engulfing what was happening to him. He was shocked at first when a hand was placed on his shoulder back in the club and when he turned around to found none other than Draven and after that he didn't knew how did he ended up here, in this dark alley.
"Where is she?" Lucifer's voice was barely calm. His hands instinctively tightened and released, his claws digging into his palm and puncturing the skin. He was feeling void inside. What was true, didn't made sense anymore. After all those months, sleepless nights, without her in his arms, were nothing but agony filled. Though she was gone, he could still see her only when he was intoxicated but now that he knew she was alive, all he wanted to do was hold her in his arms. He desperately missed the feel of her soft skin against his own. Her absence from his embrace was insufferable. He retracted his claws from bloody holes that immediately healed.
"Where is she?! Why do you care?" Elijah didn't knew why but he felt so much anger. He didn't wanted him to found Sarah. Only because he knew how much she truly despised the idea of going back to Lucifer, to get caged in his inescapable hold.
Lucifer's eyes flickered red as he took step towards him.
"WHERE. THE. FUCK. IS. SHE?" Lucifer gritted. His desire for Sarah was nothing short of obsession. She consumed his thoughts every moment of everything second of every minute of every hour of every day and haunting nights.
"Kill me but you are not getting her back, not unless I'm alive." Draven looked carefully between them as he sensed the tension. He knew Lucifer wouldn't hesitate to rip Elijah's head if he didn't told him what he wanted to hear.
"Come on, Elijah. Do you have death wish. Tell him where is she." Draven muttered angrily glaring at man against the wall.
Elijah gulped the lump of saliva as he closed his eyes.
'I want peace, Elijah.'
He remembered her words like they were said yesterday. His heart clenched when he drifted back to day when she cried in his arms asking him to make her pain go away. To help her to chase her demons away.
'My love for him, it haunts me, Elijah! Save me, please!.'
He breathed out when he recalled the day she begged him to stay with her to keep her nightmares away. He knew she still was having nightmares and he also knew now she was suffering alone.
He remembered the smile when she first saw Karl. Karl was antitode to her broken heart. And now that they all were living happily, devil knocked on their door, in all his glory. He knew Lucifer would freeze the hell if he wouldn't found her.
"I'll take you." He mumbled before he could stop himself.

I anxiously dialled his number again but again it went to voice mail. Now I was starting to get worried for him. What if Nicholas harmed him? What if something bad had happened to him?
All the negative and stressful thoughts were attacking me. It had been half an hour since I was in this small shop. The lady was nice, she asked me if I needed anything for myself or baby. But I declined.
I came to know that she had her apartment just on second floor of this shop and she lived here with her granddaughter. She tried to asked me why was I running and why was I in this state, but I told her that I was being chased by thiefs.
She seemed to bought my lie and I already started to feel bad.
And this little devil was still snoring in my arms. I was happy that he was safe. It made me wonder, was Nicholas still there? Or did he left? Should I go back?
I didn't knew.
"Do you need anything, dear?" The lady asked as she flipped the sign, signalling closed. I shook my head politely.
"I'm good, thanks." I smiled greatly at her.
Where were you Elijah?
~
"Open the door."
"Can't you wait, you asshole."
Elijah breathed out frustrated as he pulled out key from his pants and stopped.
He was betraying her.
But the danger that was hanging on her head was inevitable and only Lucifer could save her but again who would save her from Lucifer himself?
Elijah sighed before opening the door as Draven and Lucifer followed him inside.
Lucifer froze immediately as his nostrils instantly filled with her sweet aroma mixed with lavender and roses with hint of mint. He didn't knew what was he feeling anymore, happiness or anger? And he wanted to see her, for himself, so badly.
But then his eyes narrowed as he sniffled the air.
"I can smell blood." Lucifer said lowly but Elijah and Draven heard him loud and clear. Without wasting moments, Lucifer sped towards the smell of blood and he felt his heart tightened as he saw blood covered floor of room, probably her because her scent was dominanting this area.
"Fuck!" Elijah cursed as he immediately followed after him and his eyes widened in shock. His heart tightened as worst scenarios played in his mind. He breathed out as he frantically looked around but to his disappointment he couldn't find them.
"Something has happened here," Draven muttered as he himself inspected the area and found blood covered vase on corner of the room.
Lucifer couldn't describe what he was feeling anymore, rage that someone had harmed her or dread that someone had harmed her. His fists tightened as his eyes flickered crimson red. He smoldered with resentment as rage flowed through him like lava hearing Draven's words.
"It's my fault! I shouldn't have left them here alone! I was supposed to be home long ago!" Elijah couldn't describe the guilt that was eating him alive. He gripped his hairs in his hands as he panicked, looking around.
"Them?" Draven looked at Elijah with raised brow demanding and answer.
Elijah gulped.
"Her. I mean her." He softly whispered. Draven didn't knew Victoria was with them and nor he was planning to told him anytime soon.
"Her." Draven repeated suspiciously. He knew Elijah was hiding something and he was planning to finding that very soon.
"Where the fuck is she?" Lucifer scowled as he turned towards Elijah with intense rage. He took predatory step towards him when Draven suddenly stood in front of him. The look in Lucifer's eyes scared Elijah for a second.
"You won't get her back by killing him. He's the only one who can help us." Raven tries to reason but Lucifer's nostrils flared as he glared at Elijah.

"Ma....ma."
I suddenly jerked as something or probably someone moved in my arms. I lazily looked down at jade green eyes of Karl who was looking up at me with pout on his pink lips. A smile unknowingly decorated on my lips as I looked at him.
I didn't realised when my eyes closed, when I fell asleep.
"What happened? Sweetheart." I whispered softly in his ears as I placed my hand on back of his neck and hoisted him up towards my face.
"Da..da." He said lowly as tears brimmed corner of his eyes. My heart tightened looking at his teary eyes. Though he teased Elijah, he was strongly attached to him.
"He'll be with us soon." I whispered pecking his soft cheeks as he buried his face in crook of my neck. I rubbed his back soothingly as I looked at wall clock.
It was past three in morning. And I didn't knew if Elijah was looking out there for us or not. Or even if he was home yet. I was getting this worried feeling about him.
It was late and home was far. I couldn't risk Karl by getting out at this time. The old lady was kind and generous, she let me stay here till morning. She departed to her apartment upstairs for making something for me to eat and tried to decline but she insisted.
I looked towards the glass door as darkness engulfed the streets of city and few streets lights were flickering. I couldn't believe Nicholas was such a degraded my man. I knew he wasn't good but this much evilness was not expected from him.
But then again, noone in this world was good enough for us. I was scared to push the happiness of my life in hands of others, I was dumb and stupid to fall for him but I wasn't that stupid to let him in my life again. He probably didn't even thought about me.
I was letting go all the things that could hurt me beyond repair.
Karl snuggled his face in my neck as he mumbled something that I wasn't able to understand.
I was going to pull him away to ask what did he just said when the door of the shop burst opened. I didn't realised what happened but next thing I knew Karl jumping in my arms.
I frantically looked around when my eyes landed on tall, broad, muscular silhouette when red eyes stared back at me.
No, no, no! This couldn't happen!
I'm hallucinating!
My mouth wide opened as my eyes followed and my breath got caught.
"Didn't realised I would find you like this."
I gasped and backed away from the door. Thousands of years could had passed without hearing his voice and I could exactly know who it belonged to.
He stepped onto shreads of glass, emerging from the shadows of shop.
"You know I don't like games but you played me well, little one." He stopped few feet away from me and peered down.
"H-how?" I didn't realised how scared I was when I opened my mouth.
It couldn't be possible. He couldn't be here. It was just a game, cruel joke. But the way his eyes were flickering between red and blue, I was sure it was reality.
"Seven months. Seven fucking months and now I'm coming to know, the girl I mourned over was not dead. How pathetic of me!" He gritted and was he angry? I didn't wanted to know.
I backed away as he took one step closer and it infuriated him more. It had been months since I had last seen him but his face was as devilish as the first time I saw him.
What was I feeling? I didn't knew anymore.
My heart was fluttering and beating erratically at the same time. My mind was not processing anything, it felt like everything has stopped for a moment and horrific music was so playing in the background.
Karl shuffled in my arms when his eyes suddenly looked at the source of movement. Dread washed over to me.
"Who's he?"
No! No! No!
"I-"
"Ma...ma."
