Chapter 11 Chapter 11

I used to be so happy

But without you here I feel so low

I watched you as you left

But I can never seem to let you go.'

Enjoy.??

Aroma.

Decorations.

Royalty.

And regality.

I hated to admitted but this ball was beyond beautiful than previous one in my parent's kingdom. Thinking of it, I was missing my parents terribly. I hadn't seen them in seven months. The last time I laid eyes on my father was when he was screaming in agony. And my mother! Only her beautiful image, when she met me in ball was embedded in my head like a freaking beautiful memory.

I was probably dead for them.

On another note, the dress Lucifer had left for me was exquisitely divine. The blue color was giving me sense of sanity and the beautiful embroidery was making it look heavenly bewitching.

I seeked inner peace and absolute trust.

The maid Lucifer ordered to help me twisted my hairs in up do and I paired it with same matching heels. I was feeling beautiful after a long time.

?

The ballroom was magnificently decorated with beautiful red, golden, black and silver colors. Thousands of flowers were making the scene look serene and the grand staircase was washed in golden colors. The sun was already gone leaving behind it's tinge of orange and golden rays still dancing in sky.

I was already in here, waiting for probably no one. Lucifer was no one in sight but there were guests arriving in all their glories.

Right now I was in state of mind that I didn't cared what would this night would brought me. I was already beyond tarnished and devastated.

Servants were serving drinks and soft melodramatic music was playing in background leaving behind calmness and tranquility.

I was dancing in my own thoughts and I seemed to flow with calmness of music.

"Didn't knew I'll be blessed with this view after spending days in cellars."

What?!

I gasped audibly before turning around almost tripping.

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed as I wrapped my arms around him and squeezed him tightly.

Thank god!

Elijah chuckled nuzzling his face in my hairs.

"I missed you." He muttered squishing me in his arms.

"I missed you guys too."

This day couldn't be any shocking any better. I glanced over Elijah's shoulder only to greeted by Victoria slaying in her deep red, off shoulder gown, sparkling in her blonde locks.

?

"Victoria!" Elijah was long gone. I nearly pushed him out of way before I engulfed Victoria in my arms.

"Woah! Easy there." She rubbed my back as she chuckled. I heard Elijah grinning as he wrapped both of us in a bear hug.

Their love was bright as ever. My heart was glowing and I was crashing into this feeling. I wanted to kiss this memory and preserve them in cage of my heart.

~

"So you mean to say Lucifer let you go without saying anything, right?"

"That's what I said earlier."

"And you also mean to say he's allowing you to stay here?"

"The real words are 'he's allowing me to attend this banquet and he want me gone before morning."

My heart clenched.

I knew I played a little part in Elijah's safety but I didn't needed to tell him. But what hurted me more was the fact that Elijah would be gone in the morning. But small part of me was happy. At least Elijah would be safe.

I had been hearing them chanting and telling how they ended up here. Victoria told us how she tracked us down and how she knocked some senses in Draven. She also told me that Karl was safe, probably still sleeping and he wouldn't stop calling for me.?

I asked Elijah where he was planning to go and his answer didn't shocked me. He wanted to go back to where he came from, his father's kingdom, which was not far from here.

Victoria was staying.

~

I watched her as she talked with those morons. Though jealously was eating me, I still couldn't do anything other than watch her converse.

And the fact that she was looking deliciously divine was sending me off edge. It took everything in me to not drag her back to our room and fuck her brains out. Fuck! I could still do that. Though it would led her to hating me more.

Why do you care if she hates you or not, she's yours?!

Voice in my head screamed. I shrugged it off. I could not afford that.

And this night felt so tasteless without her ring my arms. My heart suddenly felt dry and withered. Z

On Draven's demand, the ball was set and everything was going smoothly till now. But the worst was yet to come.

My eyes were on her all evening, touching her curves with my sight and imagining how would she look under me tonight. The moment she stepped inside the ball, I knew it was a bad idea to let her wear that flimsy excuse of a dress which was leaving nothing to imagination.

Something snapped in me when I sensed eyes on her. Every moron with dick was eyeing her and I wanted nothing more than to claim her again.

They needed to know she was mine.

She was a property of a hybrid.

My property.

Mine.

~

He gulped down the expensive vodka in one go and strode towards where she was sitting with Elijah and Victoria. Lucifer couldn't decipher why it was bothering him seeing her being herself around them.

Sarah was mid-sentence when cold pair of fingers wrapped around her upper arm. A deep voice murmured in her ear.

"Dance with me, Sarah."

She froze. Her blood solidified in her veins. Slowly, she turned around only to be greeted by pair of arctic blues starring back at her.

Lucifer was looking down at her, his sculpted mouth curved in a half faint smile. Her brown eyes met his wild one and she knew she wasn't processing anything.

"I-"

"Come with me." His words were clear as night and she sensed underlying warning and dryness in his tone. She barely nodded her head and Lucifer dragged her away from her friends.

Every soul in ballroom was witnessing possessive behavior of their Lord. But Lucifer paid no heed to them and led her towards the middle of hall where couples were dancing.

He smacked his strong arm around her lean waist as he pulled her towards him.

"Sarah." His voice hard. Sarah remembered the last time he danced with her. She remembered the bruises she had after that.

"I won't hurt you." He said clearing mindless panic in her gaze.

"I know." The words left her mouth before she could decipher. She herself didn't knew if what she said was true or was she bluffing like her feelings or was she calming herself.

Lucifer pulled her more closer. Her bare arms shuddered in his grip and he tried not to scare her poor soul. He released her arms and clasped her waist, being careful enough to keep his hold gentle.

He could felt her body stiffening like a block of ice a he held her close. Her hands raised as she rested them against his rock hard chest, in order to push him away. Little did she knew, his strength could easily overpower oldest of vampire and werewolves, let alone a harmless human like her.

"Don't." He muttered, holding her gaze. Even hall full of werewolves and vampires, Lucifer could smell her sweet scent, something with delicacy as flower. And his body reacted to proximity instantly, his cock hardening at the feel of her slender waist and curves of her hips against his body.

"Why are you doing this?" He could had sworn that he heard nothing but little hum in her chest made him look down at her with curious raised brows.

"Doing what?" He asked as clueless as his feelings.

"This," she pointed between them. "Why are you treating me like, like a-"

"Like a human?" His hard tone completed her words.

He wanted to answer but he himself didn't knew the appropriate thing to say. He didn't understood why his soul was aching for her, why was he feeling the need to rip eyes off of those who were staring lustfully at her, why was he feeling the need to protect her, from himself too.

He didn't understand why was he seeing special kind of grace in her eyes that made his heart flutter in air. He had to say so much but still there were questions he needed to found answers to.

"How are you feeling?" Again his words took her off guard. She looked skeptically at him before sighing.

"Does it matter." She mumbled her heart out.

Lucifer's body tensed and he did what he didn't wanted to. His hold tightened on her waist. He was going to say something when he sensed a presence.

Lucifer's gaze hardened when a dark shadow lurked in corner. His grip tightened on her waist as she winced.

"Stay away from strangers. Look for Elijah or Draven and stay with either of them." Lucifer's voice was stern and hard and Sarah knew he wasn't bluffing. She barely nodded as Lucifer vanished in thin air.

Sarah stood there, wondering if she should listen to him, but decided to go with it. Last time when she defied him, she almost lost her life and her unborn children.

Her heart clenched.

Shrugging away the uneasiness, she looked around for Elijah because there was no way she was letting Draven near her.

The surroundings were calm with aroma of food dancing in air. Her stomach grumbled indicating how hungry she was. She caught Elijah talking to some woman in corner

and judging by the actions, she knew they were quiet heated. Elijah's arm was wrapped around woman's waist as he had almost hoisted her up on his waist and their mouths were battling.

"Seems like he's having fun." She muttered before walking in another direction where food was decorated.

She was without food for almost sixteen hours and now her stomach was hurting. There was no reserved strength and even walking around was exertious.

She immediately attacked on food. And that's when she felt nirvana.

?

Lucifer was watching her from corner as he watched her eating food like she had been on hunger strike for two days.

"She's a sight." His jaw clenched and his fists tightened.

"Indeed." He gritted.

"She reminds me of your mother." Lucifer couldn't describe the authentic feeling creeping in his chest that was threatening to eat him alive.

He exhaled with eyes closed and slowly turned around to glare at unwanted yet welcomed presence.

"Keep her out, Father." Words growled out of his mouth and t that moment he didn't cared if people surrounding them were staring at them or not.

Kendrio smirked, his wrinkled face glowed up in amusement. He rounded the corner and stood in front of Lucifer, blocking his view of Sarah.

"She'll be kept safe as long as you accept to rule beside me." Kendrio said.

"Are you threatening me?" Lucifer raised his brows and glared at man in front of him. His veins protruded out of his skin as he took a threatening step towards his father.

"No, son. Why would I? Besides it's not like she mean something to you, right?" Kendrio shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly though his gaze was noticing and observing Lucifer's every move.

Lucifer was tempted to correct him by pushing his fist down his throat and ripping his insides out but decided against it. He didn't wanted to scare the girl eating like no care in the world.

"You're here for a reason." Lucifer snarled.

"Indeed I am and I want you to rule Argon in return. There will be no objection and no rules." Kendrio glared at him. Anger slowly bubbling inside him.

"I will not leave Reynes at any cost. If you want someone to rule Argon, why not ask your dear wife. Oh! It makes me wonder, do you even know what she has done? How much rules she has broken? Rules that you made!" Lucifer growled glaring down at Kendrio who was looking confused at him.

"What you mean?"

"What I mean is, tell me where Aphrodite is or next person to die by my hands will be you!"

"She's your mother!"

"She isn't! She was sided with enemy who killed my mother!"

Lucifer slammed his fists in the wall next to them and Kendrio jumped startled. Several of shapeshifters and vampires looked their ways with fear and anticipation in their eyes.

"What you mean?" Kendrio asked perplexed by sudden change in Lucifer's mood.

"Everett killed my mother and your so called dear wife, Aphrodite was plotting against me, with him. And if it's not enough, she tried to kill the girl who means nothing to me."

'And my unborn children'

He was tempted to say but he knew his father wasn't kind enough to knew what he had lost.

"S-she did that?" Kendrio asked shocked and confused. Aphrodite was a loving wife. With beauty as bright as a diamond and charm as shiny as gold. Kendrio had always loved Aphrodite and he still loved her. After Nora's death, Aphrodite replaced his love for Nora.

"Where is she?" Kendrio asked.

"She's in Argon, hiding." Lucifer told Kendrio with deep voice as his eyes lingered around in search for they had been missing.

"Argon..." Kendrio muttered lowly trying to understand the situation his son had placed him in. Aphrodite had betrayed his kingdom and traitors were always graced with sword to their chests.

"I'll see what I could do about that." Kendrick said knowing Lucifer wouldn't back away.

"I don't have to do anything. She's my prey and I'll deal with her myself however I see fit." In hard and threatening voice Lucifer grumbled as his eyes laid on what they were looking for.

He watched as Sarah laughed when Victoria said something in her ear. Wave of jealously hit him. Need and urge to tore Victoria apart overwhelmed him but when his ears blessed with soft laughter of her, he kept looking in awe. He never saw her like this. Laughing and giggling. He felt a sudden happiness and satisfaction inside him that didn't last long as he concluded that he wasn't the reason for her laughter.

(Check out my book TEN WEEKS)

His brows narrowed.

"I'll have my men looking for her." Kendrio said.

Lucifer hummed though his eyes didn't left Sarah as she placed her hand on her mouth and threw her head back laughing.

"Do it before I personally grace Argon with my presence." Lucifer threatened as Kendrio nodded not missing the look on Lucifer's face.

"When will you introduce me to your lovely bride." Kendrio smirked as he watched Lucifer eyeing Sarah.

This seemed to grabbed Lucifer's thought as he swiftly snapped his head towards Kendrio.

"She's none of your business. Stay away from her and my claws will do the same." Lucifer growled as Kendrio chuckled loudly before struggling his shoulders.

Then a thought came to him.

Married.

They weren't married.

But then again she was his.

Possessiveness washed over him.

"I was the one who made you what you are today. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be here today." Kendrio glared at his son.

"And I would've died not to be raised by you. You didn't made me what I am today, you made me what you were best at, monster." Lucifer snarled.

"I'm not as bad as she has portrayed me to be-"

"Probably you are worse."

Kendrio stiffened. The atmosphere around him thickened. Lucifer's eyes glowed red. He slowly turned around as he glared at person who interrupted them.

His veins blackened and his jaw twitched.

"Aphrodite."
