Enjoy.??
"I'm serious, it happened when I was like two hundred and four years old and when I asked her if she would like to marry me, she rejected me by saying 'you look like a rotten tomato'." I laughed as Elijah mimicked while swaying his hands in air.
He was telling us about how he got rejected by a princess and I must admit it was hilarious.
"You still look like-"
A loud growl had managed to get our attention when Victoria was saying something. All of us quickly followed the voice when my eyes widened and I forgot to breathe. Everything happened in moment as Lucifer's enraged face blinded my vision and he had a body pinned against one of the pillars.
What was he doing?!
I rushed towards him as I saw the face of woman he was holding by neck.
"Y-you." I stammered and lost my step.
Lucifer was choking Aphrodite and everyone in the hall was silent. Music was long lost and everything was scarier. But what haunted me more was huge smile on her face. She wasn't afraid.
All the memories of past came like waves and washed me with them. The betrayal, the hatred, the death, the blood...my unborn children. Everything was slowly and painfully making it's way in my head.
"What the hell?" I heard Draven muttering beside me but I was too shocked and devastated to saw him. All I wanted was to cry and wept my emotions out but at the same time I wanted to show her what was agony felt like. How much I was suffering inside.
"Stop it! You'll kill her!" Draven yelled as Lucifer tightened his hold on her neck but she looked calm, not scared.
"Stay away!" Lucifer growled as chandeliers above us shook and atmosphere became dark and cold. I shivered as cold wind kissed my bare arms.
"You can kill her after you interrogate her. Killing her won't answer your questions!" Draven's shouting did something as Lucifer immediately pushed her on ground. I was still standing there, in shock and in brokenness.
"Take her to dungeons." He gritted looking down at smiling Aphrodite.
"Kill me if you want to but I'll never tell you a thing." She said and laughed like a maniac and I never saw her like this. This was another version of hers I was unaware of. Draven along with two guards dragged Aphrodite away as she laughed like something had possessed her and everyone around us was watching the whole show.
My train of thoughts stopped when Lucifer turned around. My breath hitched. He looked scarier and more wild.
He didn't said anything but his eyes were open book. They were telling how much angry he was and how much angrier he could get. I had seen his anger but I never saw this craziness.
"I-"
"Stay in the room. If I find you lurking around, the consequences will no longer be reversible." He glared down at me and I almost forgot to breathe.
I nodded frantically before rushing towards the stairs.
My feet took me where I was ordered to go. Opening the door, I let myself dropped down on my knees as breathing become difficult.
What was doing here?
Why was she here?
Is she here to kill me again?
What if she was here to harm someone who was dear to me?
Negativity engulfed me in it's depths and let tears of despondency cascaded down my eyes. I was lost and I didn't knew what road to take. I was no longer thinking with my mind rather my heart was making decisions.
The pain I was feeling was beyond tormenting. I didn't knew what was hurting more; the feeling that I had lost everything or the truth that what I had lost could never be mine.
Aphrodite.
The one person I looked up to. The one I trusted. The only who stabbed my trust.
My children. I lost them because of her. They would had been seven months old now. Maybe they would had been calling me mother by now.
Why!!
I cried and I didn't wiped my sorrows. I knew things would never be same. I would never be same. My tears were weightless but they were carrying heavy feelings. The sorrows in me were raining. It felt like I would drown in them.
"Sarah!" I heard knock on door. And I was too exhausted to reply. It was Elijah.
I clutchhed my stomach when a heart clenching sob escaped me. I lost them. I lost my babies. Everything in me was yelling at me, making me believe it was somehow my fault, telling me how much irresponsible I was, telling me how much of a bad mother I was.
"Sarah! Open the door! Dammit!" The banging became harder. But I couldn't move. I was pinned down by my emotions. Saddest thing that stabbed me was that I couldn't even hold them in my arms. I couldn't hear their laughs and cries.
"OPEN THE DOOR!" Breathing was difficult. Tears blurred my memories and my lungs squeezed into nothing. My mind recklessly threw me in dark alley of my memories and my heart followed me. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't think. My heart hurted, my head hurted, my muscles were tensed, I was feeling claustrophobic in this large room.
I heard a bang and almost immediately I was engulfed in strong arms. I let myself sink in the coldness.
Maybe when I die, I would meet my babies. Maybe they would forgive me for sins I had committed.
"Look at me." Cold pairs of hands gently cupped my face.
My breathing became hazardous.
"Breathe with me. In and out." I followed. My chest heaved up as I greedily gulped down the air in my lungs. When my vision cleared my eyes met his oceans. His blue eyes were cool like arctic ice but only I knew how much fire they held. They were blazing with hottest fire and they'd scald me like a hot sand beneath my feet.
Rough pairs of hands gently caressed my cheek and one was wrapped around my waist gripping me.
My lips quivered. I realised one thing at that moment.
I needed love.
"I-I lost them." I sobbed nuzzling my head in his neck. His body stiffened and my heart froze.
His hand gently rubbed my back as he sighed.
"We. We lost them." I was feeling like he knew what I was feeling. What I had lost. For once he was treating me like a human.
"I miss them! I wanted to hold them!" I cried in his neck.
"Shh..calm down. I'm here. With you." For once I felt relieved hearing his words. Maybe it was because he was the one who gave me my babies.
But I knew once I would be awake, I would be back on hating him.
We stayed like that for a moment as my eyes emptied themselves. I was quiet now but chaos was in my heart. My emotions were all over the place. He was holding me rather gently were firmly. He hand were rubbing my back and his other hand was in my hairs, massaging my scalp. My arms were around his neck.
"Are you alright?" His deep voice invaded my thoughts.
"I'm fine."
Was I?
He pulled away for a second as he stared down at me. Something was different about him now. He seemed gentle. His eyes looked in mine and for a moment I lost myself in them.
"I know you're not."
Don't! Please don't! Don't make it hard for me to hate you!
Gently he picked me up. I let him. I was tired and angry at myself for feeling this way.
With two long strikes he placed me on soft mattresses. My eyes were sore and my body was tensed. Without saying anything he walked in closet before coming back with a black sweats.
I didn't protested when he unzipped my dress as straps fall onto my upper arms. I didn't cover myself when he peeled the dress off me. His touch was anything but sexual.
He changed me in sweats as he threw the dress on floor beside bed. My hairs were opened and he softly tucked me in bed. His behavior was pulling me like he was gravity.
He himself unbuttoned his shirt and unzipped his pants. My heart accelerated when he stood naked in front of me only with boxers.
It was not like I had not seen him like this but it was first I was seeing him other than fear.
He got in bed beside and with a gentle tug he pulled me against his chest. The muscles were tight and his broad shoulders were engulfing me wholly.
I rested my head on his chest and let myself enjoy the comfort.
God knows how long will we last.
His arm was smacked around my waist and his erection was poking my stomach.
"Sleep." He commanded and I closed my eyes.
Hope when I wake up, I would hate him more than this unwanted feeling.
I woke with the sound of birds chirping. It felt nice. After a long time I had a nice sleep and hated to admit that he was reason of that.
Shrugging away the thoughts, I sat up and stretched my arms and looked around. He was not here.
I was thankful.
Slowly I got up and made my way to bathroom. After a nice long shower, I dressed in white floral dress. My hairs were wet so I let them down.
Events of last night were hard to recall but I did almost all of them.
Aphrodite. I knew she was here.
I opened the door and defended down the stairs. The hall was clean and I could had sworn that no ball taken place last night. The warm sunlight was peeking through glass windows.
I turned left.
I wanted to see Aphrodite. I wanted to know something. I needed to get answers.
I passed concreted walls of dungeons when screams of agony entered my ears. I dreaded them but I didn't felt remorse.
Did she felt same when I cried for help?
No!
I took careful steps towards last cellar when my eyes widened. The scene was horrible, terrible. My mind opposed to process.
Aphrodite's once angelic face was bloodied and her raven hairs were sticking to her face. Her one arm was missing and fingers of another hand were scattered on ground. Her body had several claw marks and her legs were surrounded in pool of her own blood.
A small part of me squeezed.
"What are you doing here?" I jumped when Lucifer's bloodied face blocked my vision. His hands were red, crimson like his eyes and wilderness was evident in them.
"I-I"
"What did I say about staying in room?" He took a threatening step towards me as his deep voice echoed in room. The warmness I sense in his voice last night was no where.
"I-I needed to talk to her." I mumbled and I bet he heard because next moment he was in front of me.
"Go back." He gritted. I knew he wasn't an open book boy right now I could read his eyes like a nice novel.
He didn't wanted me here.
"I won't." I said looking his eyes.
Those blue eyes.
His jaw twitched and anger washed over this eyes.
"GO. BACK." With stern voice and wild stare he glared down at me.
A loud laughter snapped me as Aphrodite showed her true colors.
"Controlling. Just like him. Your father." She laughed as Lucifer gritted his teeth.
"You're just like your father, Lucifer. And you'll ruin her like your father did to your mother." Her words fueled his anger and his fists clenched.
"Shut up." He muttered.
"Why? Reality is a bitch. You wanna know why all of sudden I'm here? Huh?" She spat as Lucifer turned around towards her.
"I've already sowed the seeds of your demise and soon you'll see what death tastes like!" She yelled and suddenly Lucifer had her neck in his grip and his claws digged deep in her neck.
"I SAID. SHUT. UP." He growled like a beast as he slammed her head on nearby wall. Blood flooded out of her head and her eyes blinked.
"You w-will pay." Life left her eyes as she mumbled the words. I stood there shocked and devastated. This couldn't end like this.
She knew she would end up like this yet she decided to come here. She k ew Lucifer was hunting her down then why?
Lucifer didn't looked remorseful and I feared as he turned towards me.
"And now what should I do about you?"
I was in trouble.
