"I would suggest attacking from west."
"That's what he must be thinking. Think rationally."
"There are archer towers on right and left of west gates, the south of the castle is shielded by river, the water is major problem, east gates have been guarded well, and the only option for us is to attack from front, which I think is highly dangerous." Draven proportioned.
Lucifer nodded. He thought for a moment, the front wasn't an option, and the south of the castle was protected by the river, now left east and west sides. Archer towers would give enemies a well established vision, though Lucifer was a hybrid, his warriors were still shapeshifters, the poisonous arrows would take no long to pierce through their bodies.
And east side, it looked easier to attack enemies on ground rather than one with advantage of height.
"East it is." Lucifer commanded. Draven gave a perplexed look before grabbing his arm.
"East?! That would be suicide." Draven hissed. Lucifer plainly jerked his arm before glaring at him.
"I will lead." Draven looked more shocked.
"Are you fucking with me?! You can't be the leader! You would be the first target!" Draven gritted, he couldn't understand the wildness inside Lucifer's mind. Leading would mean death and it was not accepted.
"Assuming Nicholas to be a fool as he is, he would line his best in front, followed by weaker. So, he would not expect me to land the first blow, once his excellent comrades are dead, the weight of situation will weigh him down." Draven listened carefully to his words. The plan was quiet acceptable. It was obvious Nicholas would line his best in front, followed by others and as a hybrid it was not much difficult for Lucifer to defeat them.
But, what if Nicholas didn't turned out to be a fool as they had expected him to be?
Draven tensed, the wight of this war could actually weigh them down also.

"Prepare the spell!"
"B-But, My L-"
"I said fucking do it!"
Sarah flinched. Nicholas had dragged her to another room, a lot more higher than others, she felt exhausted as he made her climb stairs, her body felt tired.
She carefully looked towards the woman on whom Nicholas had been yelling. She looked quiet young, with silver hairs and pale white skin, radiating with raw glow. The room seemed more like a tower, almost touching the sky. The rays of sunlight warmed her body.
"Blessed by the hell, the great nourisher of death, bless me with power, the magic,"
Sarah heard carefully as the woman chanted, she couldn't understand a thing but was quiet sure how bad it sounded. She was seated on wooden bench, Nicholas closely behind her.
The woman chanted few more words in foreign language as an dark aura surrounded her. Sarah wasn't surprised, this wasn't new for her. She had witnessed more cruel, Melissa's.
The woman slowly opened her eyes before looking at Nicholas.
"Your blood." She said. Sarah looked perplexed at her when suddenly Nicholas pulled out a dagger from his pants. Sarah looked confused at him as he dragged the weapon along his palm as droplets of blood covered the white floor. She swallowed hard as she watched Nicholas shedding few drops in a bowl.
The woman nodded.
"Do it fast. I don't have enough time." Nicholas muttered when a loud siren was blown off in a distance. Sarah looked over towards the sound as she heard commotion in distance.
"It would rake few moments." The woman muttered before mixing some white powder in the same bowl in which Nicholas had dripped his blood. Nicholas's body tensed as he looked above the tower. He could saw warriors fighting, the clashing of swords, the ripping of skins, the screams of terror.
Sarah shifted in ger seat as she felt a little pain in her stomach, a soft moan escaped her lips as she rubbed her belly.
The woman started chanting again.
After a moment she stopped and looked at Nicholas with a sigh.
"What's wrong?" He asked, furrowing his brows.
The woman looked up at him. "We need his blood also. The weapon you want to created requires more energy and power, it had to be stronger than hybrid you wish to kill. We need something more stronger than him or his own blood." The woman explained and Sarah scoffed.
"Seems like your end is nearing, Nicholas." Sarah mocked as she heard screams of Nicholas's men.
Nicholas gritted his teeth and inhaled deeply.
"And what about the child?" Sarah instinctively wrapped her arms around herself before giving a disgusted look to him.
"The child is yet to born. He or she can only use their strength once they're out of their mother's womb." The woman sighed again. "But there's an another way too."
Nicholas immediately looked her way.
"What?"
"Resurrection of Melissa."
Sarah froze. Resurrection? Like how they did when they killed Artemis? Melissa. The bame left a bitter memory on her. The woman who took away everything from her, her chidren. Her heart squeezed with unsaid pain, the memory brought horrific thoughts, the past seemed to be repeating itself, she realised.
"Her resurrection is dangerous. How would we know she can be trusted?" Nicholas quipped his thoughts.
The woman exhaled before standing.
"We won't know unless we try."
The thought seemed appealing but as much dangerous. Melissa was known to be stronger, more powerful than any being.
"And what makes you think she will kill Lucifer? The man she desired to be with?" Nicholas looked over his shoulder. Sarah's word shocked him for a second. How could be miss such detail, it was true how much Melissa wanted Lucifer, the desire was too much-
"We need to try atleast." Nicholas gave a quick glance to Sarah before nodding his head.
Sarah sighed. It was useless. The fate was again trying to play with her, the sorrow was too much to handle. She was again gambling knowing she would lose.
"I need her blood also," the woman looked ger way. Sarah exhaled before extending her hand.
Nicholas muttered under his breath before carefully slicing small portion of her palm. She held back a scream, it wasn't like she could do much, but atleast she could trust Lucifer for now. He was here, he just needed to come to her. Her disobedience would lead them nowhere.
The woman nodded as Nicholas gather few drops of ger blood in the same bowl. She closed her eyes before she started muttering again. The foreign words pierced Sarah's courage. The end was nearing, the history seemed to be honest this time, the weight of the reality was overbearing. Sarah sighed, but this it had to be different, this time she couldn't afford lose herself or her child, the bargain would leave her shattered, she knew but she had to be rational rather than panicked. She had to think rather than react.
Sarah looked at woman as she still chanted her spell, but now there was crease lf uncertainty between her brows, she looked bothered.
Sarah narrowed her eyes herself.
"What's the matter, Amanda?" Nicholas asked with confusion. Amanda shook her head slightly, and again tried to chant something but her frown deepened further.
"I-I don't know, something's seemed to be wrong." She barely muttered as she opened her eyes before looking at Sarah and closed them again. Amanda again frowned when a thought crossed her mind.
Her eyes fluttered open, the bowl in her hands trembled as Amanda looked wide eyed at Sarah. Her gaze made Sarah uncertain. Nicholas noticed change in behaviour.
"What's hap-"
"Who's she?" Amanda looked terrifyingly at Sarah as she immediately stood up before backing away. The bowl immediately slipped from her hands and landed on floor, the area where the ingredients of bowl dripped, the floor turned black. Sarah looked shockingly at the floor.
"What do you mean? A mere human!" Nicholas growled as he took steps towards her direction.
"No! No! No! She's not a human! Not a human! A curse! She's a curse!" Amanda screamed as her body trembled, her eyes as wide as saucers, beads of sweat covered her face completely. Sarah couldn't understand, it seemed difficult.
"What the fuck are you saying, Amanda?! Explain it clearly!" He yelled.
"S-she's a curse! A reincarnated soul! Descendent of Hecate!" Amanda screamed, Nicholas frowned.
"Hecate? Goddess of reincarnation?" He chuckled mockingly. "It's just a myth, Amanda. No soul-"
"Ask her! If she has been dead! Ask her if she had given second chance of life!" Panicked voice of Amanda echoed in the tower.
Sarah frowned as she remembered the fragments of her past. Obviously, she had been dead, and by god's grace she had been given a second chance but that didn't explained anything. Descendant of Hecate?
"But it's not possible, isn't it?" Nicholas mumbled. Amanda shook her head as she rushed towards the doors, without looking back she screamed before running away.
"She'll be your destruction!"
Nicholas stood there in dread as he looked at Sarah. He couldn't understand a thing, the myth was supposed to be a lie, wasn't it? But why? Why all of sudden? And now didn't he noticed it earlier?
"So, now what? You'll kill me too." Sarah asked in strangely calm voice.
Nicholas looked into her brown eyes, glistening with fear and suspicion.
"I was trying not to kill you...you were supposed to be my trophy, a spoil of war. My war."? Nicholas said coldly.
Sarah swallowed hard as she leaned agaisnt the wall. "I will never be yours, Nicholas."
Nicholas paused before he let out a dark chuckle. Sarah tried to stop herself from trembling so much as she eyed the way Nicholas gripped the dagger in his hands. Her chest rising up and down rapidly with anticipation gripping her thoughts. She tried not to look at the dagger.
"You're so stubborn...but dont worry, once this all will be over, I'll tame you good." Nicholas said with a smirk on his face.
Sarah looked at him with shock and anger and more fear.
"You'll get nothing but hatred from me." She swallowed hard as she leaned further against the wall.
"We will see about that." Nicholas said glaring at her as she planted her hands on wall on her back and hoped for Lucifer or anyone to come and get her, she was even ready for Draven to show his face. The tower where Nicholas had caged her in was too large and tall, and she could barely saw people from top. But the sounds of swords clashing, wolves growling, terror-stricken screams, pleas for mercy, were so clear that she could feel herself in their places.
Sweat dripping down her back, armpits and forehead as she watched Nicholas pacing around. He had her caged, where no one could find her.
A spoil of war.
That's what he called her.
Her hands protectively wrapped around her swollen belly. The warm sensational feeling erupted through her and she prayed to higher powers to bless her with power and courage to pass this phase.
"He wanted a fight, but I'll give him a war." He seethed, anger visibly sparkling in his eyes. Vengeance and revenge, to avenge his family, his motives, his destination, the need and desire to rule, to be higher than higher powers.
Destiny was on his side for once.
She swallowed.
Anticipation engulfed her, fear wrapped around her, suspicious eyes widening with every movement Nicholas was making.
"Why are you doing this?"
"Why am I doing this? I don't know, sweetheart." Nicholas grinned at her, making Sarah panic. "Maybe because yours truly have killed my loved ones. Or....maybe, I want to be more powerful."
"Or maybe, you're a coward."
Sarah and Nicholas both looked towards the door as familiar voice entered their ears.
