LEILA CROSS
I was busy fidgeting my fingers while thinking about what happened a while ago when I heard several knocks on my door.
My eyes blink as I start to feel enraged when I think of the only person who knocks on my door after his oh-so-called show from the hall.
With so much anger, I walk with heavy steps as I approach the door. My brows creasing nearly touching each other's end. Lips quivering as I can't stop feeling upset. Nails digging into my skin and glancing at the door with my laser gaze.
Upon opening the door, the person I was expecting to show up right before my eyes doesn't appear like I'm expecting. Instead, a woman in knight's clothes stands in front of me.
With her stance like a soldier in the human realm and her cold yet sharp gaze look straight into my green emerald-shaking eyes.
"Hi! You're the Vampire Bride they're talking about, right? I'm Shen, a knight serving our Vampire King," she says with conviction. Even her voice, you can tell that she is a knight when you hear it. It's because her voice is lace with sophistication and authority that you can't say no but to follow her command.
But how's that concerns me?
"What are you doing here? Did he tell you to come here and force me to go back? Let me tell you that it's a no. You can go," I am about to close the door right at her face when her right foot slides in before I can totally close it.
I can't help but furrow my brow in irritation.
"What is it? I said what I said, Ms. Shen whoever you are," I state with irritation in my voice. It's quite a high pitch I never expect.
"The Little Bride is quite an impatient one, huh? Here, Master Wyatt told me to tell you and watch you drink this blood...," my gaze goes to her hands where a veil is nicely put in her palms.
"What kind of blood is that?" I ask her, a bit hesitant but I did not make her see that.
Is it just me or do I see a ghost of a smirk behind her smile? A facade? For what? To hide something from me?
"I'm wondering why does he give you animal blood and not human blood? Hmm?" Hearing those words from her make me stop for a while that I did not notice how she walks herself inside my room.
I turn around and watch her looking around my room.
As others say, our eyes are the windows of our soul. And just by looking into her eyes, I know that she's not that upright person. Like she also has a dark side hiding behind her fake facade.
"What is it to you? You're just a knight in this Castle and you don't have the right to question him at all," I retort for I don't like what's coming out from her dirty mouth.
"I have the rights!" I jump out in surprise when she suddenly raises her voice and quickly glances at me. Eyes glaring while she starts to walks towards me with such urgency as if she already wants to kill me to satisfy her thirst for blood.
"I have the right because he's always been my man and mine alone. Do you understand me? You lowly vampire slut!" I just stand there staring at her unbelievably.
Wait, wait.
Did I hear her right?
Before I can say something, I hear a glass breaking. The sound of the pieces of it when it hits the floor and the scent of the blood spreads all over my room; make me want to strangle her to death.
She spills the blood all over as she doesn't tear her gaze away from my eyes as if saying that she's the one who has a say in everything.
"Drink, lowly vampire. It's too special for you not to, right? Drink, drink it!"
I scoff and blink my eyes if this is all real and if I am still sane because this girl is already insane! She's beyond normal! Oh, my Goddesses!
"I said drink it!" She moves so fast that I did not notice her at all.
With her heightened strength, she pushes me too hard that I feel like my backbone broke. I grunt in pain silently as my eyes shot her a glare.
If looks could kill she's already been on the floor, bathing on her blood.
"You crazy lunatic bitch!" I curse her and try to get up and but my lower lip when the pain electrocutes my flesh.
"I'm not crazy! You are!" Getting my balance, I step aside when she swings her right arm for a punch.
I can hear how the wall cracks because of her attack and imagine if I didn't dodge that. They'll never recognize my face because it's too dislocated and unrecognizable anymore.
I wipe the drops of blood on my lips as I spit blood when I hit my back into the wall.
"You're really annoying! Die! Get out from here and never come back! I'm only the one who will marry the Vampire King. Not a lowly creature like you!" She attempts to punch me again when my knees weaken that's why I'm able to dodge her attack.
She uses her feet to kick me but I roll my body at the side until I face the other end of the wall.
I see her foot approaching right through my face in my peripheral vision that causes ms to think fast on how to avoid such an attack from her.
I can't afford to have bruises on my face. Not because of a mere lunatic woman like her.
Adrenaline rushes me to move my upper body to get up and I did in just a second. The wall cracks again.
I couldn't believe her strength. And if I'm going to fight her in terms of this, I will never win as my current body is weak.
I need my brain right now to outsmart her. She's a knight after all.
She's already breathing heavily as I lean my body into the wall and watch her. I'm on my full alert and I need to think fast before she can have an attack again.
Her fist is clench that I know her nails are already digging in her skin as her blood starts to flow from her fingers and drop on the floor.
As my Vampire body, it reacts once the scent of her blood comes near my senses. She has this strong yet addictive blood of hers but to think that she's too crazy and delusional, I just can't fathom the idea that she's into Wyatt.
No matter how I try to think of possible reasons, there's just nothing suitable and acceptable for it.
My eyes glow and my blood boils. Instead of going for her blood, I seem to just want her blood out of her body and die. But a Vampire won't die just because of blood loss.
"I think, you need some time to think things over, lunatic girl," I try to avert her attention by triggering her with words that seem to affects her so much.
"To hell with you! I don't need you to tell me what to do!" She accelerates her speed that I can only catch her after image but I heightened my senses and before she can attack me upfront, I reach the limit of my body.
My blood flows faster than before as my breathing hitch. I use all my strength to take her down.
I catch her fist and the impact makes me take a few steps backward. I didn't waste any time and lock her head using her arm and hold her other hand using my left hand.
"I told you, chill!" I roll my eyes and pin her into the wall and stretch my arms into my study table. One drawer opens as a thin white cloth floats in the air until it lands on my hands.
Using it, I tie her hands on her back and her feet. I make sure that she can't move at all. Of course, in this world magic is everywhere and the cloth that I use has some magic on it that Wyatt gave me.
I don't even know why did he give me one. And I didn't expect that I can use it on time.
"Hey, lunatic girl. Time to hear me, okay? As for the fact that I am the Vampire Bride, the Vampire King's fiance, you should respect me as you do to him, right? You know, there's nothing wrong accepting that you are only a knight and nothing more, nothing less. Let's talk for more, shall we?"
My fake smile fades as I totally give in. My body is too tired. I already reach my limit and I can't even stand without any support now.
I breathe heavily as I stare at the raging crazy lunatic girl in front of me.
I put a cloth in her mouth so that she can't talk. I hate her voice.
"That should make me tame you enough, lunatic girl. And for the record, I'm still going to be your Master before and after the wedding, and you should know by now that I won't take no as an answer for my condition. And for that condition...," I trail off as I kneel down and with my long nails, I trace her jawline and force her to face me.
Her eyes are already shaking so is her body. Lips quivering in cold and sweats dripping down from her face.
I let out a chuckle and forcefully pull my hand back cause my nail to scratch her face as her head turns right.
I laugh and stare at her eyes. Wearing a mocking smile, I say those words to her face.
"Sleep, for now, my slave!"
