Chapter 8 8

"My plan" Ace asked looking a bit confused. "Of course your plan,or are you just gonna go there and start killing Greg's men" Jane asked.

"of course not!!,first I'll get some arms, then I'll.... emm I'll go to his office and check..." Ace was saying when Jane suddenly interrupted with a chuckle.

she then bursted into laughter, "haha..you are so funny..you just gonna go there,what if you get spotted" Jane said laughing.

"you think this is funny, you crazy bitch!"Ace said angrily and charged towards Jane, he grabbed her right arm,he looked at her face and she has closed are eyes out of fear.

Ace let go of her hand and stormed out,he went down the hill and started walking up the muddy road.

Jane ran out too and started running down the hill,"Mr Ace!!, Mr Ace wait up!!", she yelled as she ran after Ace.

she met up with Ace and was panting,"Am sorry.." she said but didn't get a response.

"I think you need a good thinking before going back to the city,you can't go to Greg's office,you need to send someone like a spy or something there to help you check things out" Jane said.

"I might have a perfect person for the job" Ace replied.

"Who" Jane asked, "Andrew, we both work for Greg, but am not sure I can still trust him ,he never tried to check on me or something". Ace said

"ok,so where are you heading to?" Jane asked. "Am heading to a nearby lake,haven't showered since you left" Ace said.

"i noticed that already" Jane said and chuckled.

Ace looked at her and continued walking,they walked till they reached the lake. Ace looked at her expecting her to understand that she needs to turn around so he could strip naked and have his bath.

she was just staring at him,"emm..am I missing something here?why are you staring at me"Jane asked. Ace shook his head in disgust, "would you just turn around,you dumb thing" Ace said.

"of course!!,that was what I was about to do" Jane said smiling awkwardly.She turned around as Ace stripped and entered the water,It was warm this time.

Ace was bathing when Jane stylishly tried to peep,"oh my God!! am so tired and weak" she said and a turned back a little. she met Ace eyes staring at her,she quickly turned back,she chuckled.

Ace finished his bath and wore back his clothes, he started walking back,Jane followed.

They soon got back to Ace's place,"wait here I'll quickly change my clothes" Ace said and went in leaving Jane outside. Jane looked around,she went close to the door and saw the already damaged key hole,it was an old door and one could see directly through the holes.

she bended a bit and peeped, she saw Ace in only his undies, she stared at his abs biting her lips. "wow,he has a nice body" She exclaimed.

she bent back to peep but was shocked when she saw him approaching the door, she quickly jumped back and the door opened. "i was just coming to say am going to my car,meet me there when you are done" jane said and went down the hill.

Ace went back in and continued dressing. "phew, another close call" Jane sighed as she opened her car door,she sat and took her phone,"Holy fuck!!" Jane exclaimed and quickly came down.

she ran up the hill and shouted "Mr Ace!! Ace!!" Ace ran out, "what's wrong, is someone here"Ace asked.

"it's already half past three pm already, I have to get home soon before my stepsister calls my dad and tells him am missing or something,its a fucking four hours drive from here "Jane yelled.

"Ok wait for me in your car,I'll join you in a second" Ace said and dashed in to get some of his stuffs.

Jane ran down the hill and quickly got in her car she dialed her sister's number but it was switched off.

Ace came down holding a black bag,and quickly entered the car,Jane started the engine and zoomed off."so why did you come back?" Ace asked trying to calm her down.

"i don't know, who on earth will drive for four hours just to see a stranger!! who does that!! " Jane yelled.

"just calm down and continue driving" Ace said.They drove for four hours,they were already close to the town's checkpoint, "quick get in the back seat and stay low" Jane said as they approached the checkpoint. Ace struggled and got in the back sit,he stayed behind her seat and stayed low.

They reached the town's checkpoint ,they were stoped by a policeman,Jane didn't have time to talk,she quickly showed him her Id, The policeman let her go after seeing her father's name on it.

Jane drove straight to her house,she parked close the house and told Ace to wait for her there.

she walked to her house and knocked on the gate,the gateman opened and saw her, "Mam why are you on foot,did your car break down" The gateman asked.

Jane didn't answer him,The guards were also shocked to see her,she went in and opened the door.

She met her stepsister doing what she does always,"watching toons".

"Hey did dad call" she asked, "yeah he called the home telephone and I picked it up and told him you were sleeping "Linda said.

"of course, he would have called my number if he knew I was not here,guess all my rush was for nothing " Jane mumbled and sat on the couch.

"am hungry" Jane exclaimed and walked to the refrigerator and took some preserved food,she ate completely forgetting about Ace.she sat on the chair and was feeling dizzy,she slept off.

she was woken by her stepsister few minutes later, "someone is here to see you" Linda said."who" Jane asked sitting up, "i don't know,the guards says he looks like a beggar or something.

"A beggar, oh shit!" Jane exclaimed covering her mouth, "Anything wrong" Linda asked staring at her.

"No everything is fine,I just need to take care of something, I'll be right back" Jane said and went outside.

"mam you have a visitor" one of the guards says as she comes out.she went to the gate and opened it,she wanted to go out when one of the guards stopped her. "mam,do you want any escorts?" he asked, "No,that wouldn't be necessary, its just a beggar seeking food" Jane said and went out closing the gate behind her.

she came out and Ace was standing there,"beggar, you couldn't think of anything better" Ace asked angrily."sorry,that was the only way" Jane said and chuckled.

"whatever, why did you leave me here,have been waiting in your car for fifteen minutes "Ace said."i was tired and accidentally slept off" Jane replied.

"of course you did,anyways am hungry I need something to eat" Ace said,"emm wait here let me go get something" Jane said and went in."you know this beggars,they are always looking for what to eat,I'll just give him something and he'll be on his way soon" Jane said to her her guards as she entered.

She went in and took some preserved meals in the fridge,Linda stared at her as she was going out, "it's for the beggar " Jane said and walked out.

she went out and gave Ace the foods,they both walked to her car and got in,Ace ate the food." so what do you plan on doing" Jane asked him as soon as he was done eating.

"just get me a place to sleep for now its getting late.
