Sunday came... With pale English morning everyone woke up and dressed themselves for going to the church. Rosie, Jenny, Tilly and Mr Crookins left Marine Hall and set off for Seagull's Nest, the village situated not very far from the mansion. Women strolled ahead while Crookins like a usual guardian was walking behind them.
"Miss Rosie, are you satisfied with Marine Hall?" Tilly decided to dilute the boredom of an uneventful walk.
"As with the lodge - there are of course better places but I am completely satisfied. As with the place full of secrets and even with such ghosts as Thomas – I am more than satisfied. Only as with the architectural monument – this house is neglected."
"You are the first one, who called this place "the architectural monument"," the old woman said.
"Why, I am sure here could be very beautiful. Its history, its works of art... All this place needs is restoration and a good gardener."
