As the film finished, the fellows stood up to wake up their sore limbs. " Let's go in the view room ", proposed Dev. He just wanted a quiet place to talk about that youth from yesterday. When they returned, all the grown ups were worried about them, especially Ashley's parents, so they didn't have any explanations from her. Now it was the right time.
He and his friends took the circular lift, in the center of the building. It went up for a few floors, then stopped.
The view floor had one pecularity, all the walls were completely transparent. So if one person were watching, he would feel that he was standing at the top. Only if the breeze was there, then it could be very realistic.
They decided to go to the northern side, Dev tapped a few times on a screen, and a semicircular couch rose up from the floor. Everyone sat down, but the main attraction wasn't the view, but rather Lyn.
" Um, uh… ", feeling all the eyes on her, she felt a bit uneasy, but at the same time amused. Those situations always happened when she did a mess, and now, instead of adults, her friends took their place.
" So, could you tell us what happened yesterday with that guy ? ", Lex decided to ease her anxiety by asking her first.
Between the group, he was the most calm and with a harmless air around him. So he, with consideration, helped her out.
" Well, nothing peculiar happened, just he said that he was my childhood playmate. But I don't really recall him. In the end we decided to become friends ", she shortly explained to them. The others still had an unconvinced face, but they couldn't make sense too. So they just enjoyed the huge view, waiting for lunch time.
" How did they exactly escape from the prison ? ", " report Director, the guard was knocked out ". The speaker hesitated a while, before continuing to speak, " The body is nowhere to be found. Only traces of blood could confirm his identity ". The Director had a furious expression, " It seems that more people are getting useless. I should make a neat clean up ". This statement made all the people shiver in fear. Their boss' mood was already quite irritable, since the recent happenings, in those last years.
" Director, please don't worry about this matter. I've already implanted a localizator on them. They won't be able to get rid of them, at least not in the next ten hours. The chances that they succeed are very low ". A female scientist walked forward, while relaying this piece of information. " Mn, good job Dr. 0, at least you never disappoint me. Track them down. I want results before the time is off ". Being in a better mood, the Director left the chamber, only the rest of the troupe was still standing still, shivering.
Dr. 0 walked in her personal office, and the room darkened, while countless windows popped out, floating. Red dots flashed crearly in the room, like evil gazes. The blue eyes gained a purple hue, under the reddish light, fitting the purple hair. " those guys… ", a cruel smile curved her lips. " my dear creations, hope this adventure will let you gain experience ".
A dreadful laughter broke the silence.
Rain was pouring heavily in a small lost district. On its sides, a few abandoned factories could be seen. They were carrying signs of time, as they were quite broken.
Inside one, five youths were sitting around a roughly made fireplace. One was busy tapping on a screen. Soon he found what he wanted to know. His face turned bitter, on the floating screen, five dots could be seen. " Everyone, we need to find where this chip is located. I think those crazy people are already on our tracks ", " Hey, captain, how are we supposed to know where they planted it. Don't tell me you want to cut each inch of your skin to guess its place ". The rest shuddered, trying to keep their emotions together, they couldn't have another mental breakdown. Not now.
Their captain stood up, and a small screen flipped over his right arm. On the surface, no signs were detected, the scanning passed on his left arm. Still no response. His companion watched him with anxiety, but also absolute trust. His eyebrows abruptly knitted, " don't tell me that.. ", as if he realized something, he scanned his legs. At the height of the ankle, the screen lights up. " those bastards!! ", " They really put a great effort into thinking those ways ", " they're unhuman! ". Furious voices echoed in the broken place. The guy who was the leader, raised his arm and spoke up, " guys, they clearly were prepared in the case we escaped. We need to find a safe place, but first we need to get rid of those things ". The others nodded slowly, but with a firm gaze.
" Right, boss, you heard about those last two who escaped on their own ? Aren't they literally monsters, so cool. Those crazy bastards still haven't caught them ", a guy happily said, glad to say something at the disadvantage of those scientists. "Don't be happy so soon. You can't think of them in the same way you think. As you said they're crazy, I bet even their brains aren't normal ". As the other lad heard the explanations, he became serious again. The other guy shifted his gaze into the shattered window, glancing at the gray sky. His eyelids slid down, memories emerged in his mind, the little gray eyed girl, the wild boy, the other crazy lad….. and so on. They could be regarded as lab-companions. As far he knew, the first two were the ones who successfully escaped. An idea flashed in his mind, but he quickly turned it down. Even if he wanted to ask for help, they won't stretch their hand for sure. He'd better rely on himself and his life-death friends.
