Urgent matters

Uh, it's Adeus, thought Lyn. She glanced at the teacher who was still explaining the ceremony opening rules. Well, there was no risk of getting caught now. Her fingers quickly tapped on her screen, ' In two days the opening ceremony will be held, have you prepared your dress ? ' . Lyn's brain for a moment stopped. What dress ?! What ?! How !!

Her eyes read the phrase again, after a while she sent the reply.

A pair of emerald eyes opened, as a wrist-screen shook lightly. He read the reply and smiled. Perfect, now he had an excuse to ask her out. Then he answered her message reassuring her that they'll talk about it after the end of the lessons.

On the other side Lyn exhaled a breath of relief. She looked at the teacher again but it looked like he didn't notice her stealthy actions. Even Dev didn't glare at her, so she glanced over him.

He was keeping his posture straight, facing the professor. But his eyes were completely unfocused, probably lost in that mushy world.

Lyn really wanted to slap her forehead. The situation wasn't better at Esm side, but worse. She felt a bit unhappy, those two kept ignoring her and being distracted each time she asked them something. Since there was no hope to try to talk to them, she turned her head to the other side.

' Hey, Lex ', she whispered, ' do you have any idea on how to dress up for the ceremony ? '. He thought for a while, ' I've checked on the rules and there are no restrictions. So, probably you can go with whatever outfit '. She nodded her head, while thinking.

A hooded figure walked through a dark alley, he took a turn, and slid in an unkept door on the side.

The room was kept in the dark, only a few faint lights were lit. A hunchback figure was seen behind the counter.

He walked in front of him, stretching out the arm. A small black screen with red letters floated on his gloved hand.

The figure's eyes locked on those letters and stood up. " Here, my dear customer ". The aged figure walked in another room. There were no more doors. The man removed a worn out rug from his spot. A handle was shown. It was stuck in a tile. It was pulled.

A rattling sound filled the room, the tiles on the ground suddenly changed their color and shape. A platform appeared on the floor, in its center a cylindrical glass shape emerged. The figure made an inviting gesture at the guest. The hooded one walked in the glass structure and it fell down. The lift soon reached the ground floor.

As he walked out a waiter was waiting there, " Welcome at The Night Bar, dear guest ". He nodded and vanished in the packed place. He sat in a corner, where four other people were already waiting there. " Hey captain ! Nice to see you again and alive! ", the person who spoke was wearing a cape that covered his face. Its gender could be easily guessed from its build and voice. Near him two petite figures were chatting, not caring about them. Another one was leaning on the sofa, with his arms crossed.

Graydon smiled seeing then well, he took off his cape, revealing the sapphire eyes. " It's nice indeed ". One of the girls spoke, " Cap, we have a situation ". Her tone was serious and calm. but her tightly clasped hands gave out her anxiety. A few liliac strands of hair slid down from her cape. Graydon furrowed his brow, " Keep going ", " We're being tailed ". The silence fell on them. " Well, if a madman was here, he'd say just get rid of them. So our plan will be exactly this ". The guy was lazily leaning, sat up, " Cap, are you sure ? Or is it because a madman will lend his hand ? ". The leader smiled, revealing his teeth, " He hasn't seen blood for a while. He'd go crazy if he stayed still, so he specifically offered his help in advance. What do you think about it ? ". They looked at each other's eyes, only finding approval. " Allright, then let's get rid of those bugs ".

The bell rang, stating the end of the lessons.

In class 0, all the students got up and swarmed toward the exit. Lyn and his friends squeezed in the stream of people.

As soon as she got out she took a deep breath, surely her classmates were excited, since it was the last day of school for this week. The elevator hall was bustling, but a figure stood in the mist of the sea of people. Piercing eyes and a tall figure, Adeus.

He waited for Lyn to reach him, " I was asking you out to play, but it seems that your dress is more urgent, right ? ". She scratched her head, embarrassed. She thought if she wasn't so distracted, she would have been prepared. But all of those were ' if ', so she pulled herself back to reality.

Seeing her like this, Adeus really wanted to pat her head, as they used when they were younger, but he couldn't do it now. He sighed inwardly, " I know a place that fits your needs, shall we go and have a look ? ", " Really ? ". " Hey, Lyn, you won't mind if we join too, won't you ? ", Esm asked. " I don't mind, but . . . ", her eyes peeked at the emerald one, looking for a response. " No problem, you're Lyn's friends afterall ".

So even the other three boys were dragged in.
