Chapter 313: Steps_2

Ivy Grant must have said something, which is why Aria Grant was worried and told me to come here. If Dylan Flack hadn't gone to see Belly Wescott, Aria probably wouldn't have come, I guess.

Gazing out the window, George Flack was lost in a deep reverie; the window had completely fogged up, obscuring any view of the outside. George suddenly felt reflective; the company issues that used to obsess him, once ignored, had dissipated, hadn't they?

George thought that maybe the experiences of the past few days should have taught him not to be so greedy. Trying to have everything could result in ending up with nothing.

Perhaps his true desire was just to be with Aria Grant, as long as he could ensure a lifetime without worries of food and shelter. Thomas Yates could even drive him to bankruptcy, and that wouldn't be a problem.

But the problem was, even if he gave up everything, would Aria be willing to start over with him? George didn't know.
