"... and the King is alright with it?" Mu Lei asked, somehow believing the King would not just leave them to the Haruka like that, given the good they did for the city. 

"Is there any reason for him to refuse?" He does not know half of what we experienced at the hands of the Haruka—no one does, except the Senator," Tang Fei told her. "Let's face it, we belong to the Haruka," he said, not wanting to be optimistic over nothing anymore. 

Lin Soha turned to him, almost angrily, and said, "Don't you ever say that to my ears again!" "We are free, not slaves to any clan," he said, breathing heavily with a barely controlled temper.
