Chapter 191 - A Double Senate

The Langford Queen, along with her nobles and senators, all in their respective carriages, were carried to the Empress' residence for the meeting with her Majesty and the Brittanian Senate. On their way there, Mia kept looking out the window, worried that something bad would happen during the discourse, as the meeting would involve two ruling classes of different racial backgrounds and cultures, of which the only thing they had in common was their religion.

She took a deep breath, repeatedly telling herself by mouth that everything was going to be alright, no matter what. The Empress, in her good graces, wouldn't endorse such a meeting if it wasn't in the favor of the Langford people, unless she had selfish ulterior motives that would come at the detriment of the immigrants.
