Boys(4)

Four of them keep their conversation going and walk in the night market. They look around and talk all the way along. "Josh, what do you miss the most about Taiwan?" asks Jian. He turns to Josh and asks him about his home.

"Good question." Josh keeps walking. "Let me think. I think it would be the food here." Josh listens to the question then answers.

"Oh yeah. Nice answer. I agree." Says Jian.

"The food? What do you mean?" asks Dan. He's curious, so he joins the conversation to ask for more information.

"The food is amazing here. Dan. Trust me. For instance, I like bubble tea, fried chicken, beef noodles and so on. Bubble tea and fried chicken are my favorite." Josh says.

"Bubble tea? And fried chicken?" Dan asks.

"Yes. They are good. You should try them. They can be one meal for you and go really well with each other." says Josh. Josh looks at Dan and explains to him.

"That's true He's right." Jian nods. "How about sticky tofu? Have you changed your mind? You used to hate them." asks Jian.

"Uh…no… " Josh shakes his head, "I still dislike them. I'll pass that. They smell like shit. I mean…Real shit." says Josh. He feels disgusted by hearing the name of the food.

"What's that? Is it some kind of tofu?" Dan stares at Josh and Jian, asking.

"Don't…Dan. You don't wanna look under the rock." Josh says.

"C'mon. Don't say that. You never know, maybe he'll like it." Jian laughs.

"No…" Josh sighs. Jian chuckles. He looks at him and starts to describe it for Dan. It's tofu that has a strong smell, and it's very common in Taiwan, but even for Taiwanese its smell might be too strong. Josh is one of those Taiwanese who don't like it.

They walk around in the night market, looking for something interesting. While Josh and Jian are talking about how they like Taiwan, Matt sees something really unusual. "What's the thing over there? It looks like…" Matt points at a vendor and gets everyone's attention over there.

They stop walking, and Jian looks away and sees the food that Matt's pointing at, "They are penis cakes. It's a new trend in Taiwan." he answers.

"Uh…what?" The other three are stunned..

"Penis cakes! You know, it's a cake that has the same shape as a penis." Jian says. Dan and Josh look at each other and try to process what they just heard.

"What??? That's a thing?" asks Josh, "In Taiwan?" Jian nods.

"Oh my god…is it a thing? Wow, this place is blowing my mind. Haha. We definitely should try some of them." Matt laughs, "Do you guys want some?"

They stop by the vendor and wonder if they should buy one to try. Matt and Jian are interested but Dan and Josh are not as interested as they are. After a strong debate among them, Dan and Josh will pass on this one, Jian and Matt decide that they will buy one cake and share it. They walk to the woman who's selling the cakes to buy one, and it becomes the weirdest food experience in their life. Two men share a cake that looks like a man's private part; Dan and Josh stare at them and wonder, feeling strange and starting to question their life.

While having his cake, Matt thinks of something then turns to Dan and Josh. "Hey, guys, a quick question. Does Alex look familiar to you? I think I've seen him before." He asks.

Josh takes a second to think then replies. "I do. But I just can't recall where I saw him." He asks Dan, "Do you know who he is?"

Dan gets surprised then replies. "Really? Are you kidding? You don't know who he is? He's Alex Scherzer!" His jaw drops.

Matt still has no clue. "Who?"

Dan continues to go, "Alex Scherzer!! He was one of the best players. He had 18 wins in his rookie year and set a rookie record. No one has reached that level ever since."
