"It sounds like he's a very nice guy." Dan listens to the story and nods.

"Of course." Josh smiles. He looks at Dan, "Do you remember how I came up to you and started introducing myself?" and he asks.

"I do." Dan nods.

"I learned that from Jian. I wouldn't have been able to do that if it wasn't for him." Josh says. "He taught me how to interact with people."

"It's nice, isn't it." Dan uses a smile to respond to Josh. "You guys are close, aren't you?"

"We are. We still kept in touch after I moved to Formosa." Josh smiles, then he looks away, "I mean…yeah…I'm still a quiet kid, and still not comfortable with talking to people, but I'm working on it." and he looks back to Dan. "Jian's showed me that I'm capable of doing so."

Dan looks at Josh and smiles again. "Wonderful." Two of them continue their chat while other pitchers are watching the fly balls that come to the outfield. "Watch out!" Dan glimpses a coming fly ball and tells Josh to be aware of it. He pushes him away, takes a step backward and lifts a little bit to catch the ball. "That was close." Dan grunts. He takes the ball out of his glove then throws it back to someone who has a basket. "You ok?" He turns to Josh.

"Don't worry. I'm good." Josh replies. He looks at Dan and asks, "How did you see that one coming? I didn't see anything."

Dan shrugs his shoulders, "I don;t know. I guess…because I'm taller than you? I see farther than you do." and he explains.

"Seriously?" Josh rolls his eyes, "It isn't fair. I wish I had your height." and sighs.

"Haha. What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, you are so tall, and I'm so short. I'm like a hobby when I'm next to you." Josh says.

Dan hears it and laughs. "Come on. Just because I'm tall…it doesn't mean that you're short."

"Yeah, I'm short." Josh says. "And I'm jealous. You are tall and you can throw a 100mph (160kph) fastball easily, and I can't."

Dan thinks Josh's being ridiculous, "Why would you say so? We're different types of pitchers. You got your strength and I got mine." and he chuckles.

"Never mind." Josh looks away and sighs.

"Oh!! Hey, check it out." Dan's point at home plate and tells Josh to see it. "Is it Matt?" He asks.

Josh turns to the plate to check and nods. "That's him."

"How's his batting." Dan asks.

Josh looks at Dan, "Not bad." and gives him what he knows about the guy; His speed is unbelievable. Matt's a perfect leadoff man and has high OPB (On Base Percentage) and runs fast. Pitchers will be annoyed when he's on first, and there's no way to stop him from stealing bases."

"Wow. Can't wait to see it." Dan listens and is excited to see Matt's performance.

"Not just that. He had seven stolen bases in one game in high school." Josh says.

Dan looks at Josh, "Shit. For real? That's sick!" Meanwhile, Matt begins his batting and hits the balls to different directions, showing others his batting skill.

Dan watches him hitting for a couple swings, "It's good, he has good bat control, maybe a little bit more work on his power, then he will be fine." and nods. "The majority of his batting would have been only a base hit."

"True. It's something he has to work on." Josh says, "But there's no doubt about his speed and his ability to steal bases."
