Issue #8

An hour later, Jack and his team were outside of the meeting room. When they walked in, four of the seven squad leaders were present. Wasp and Hawkeye were out on missions. Clea had also taken over as the leader of the magical squad since Thor had gone missing.

"Hey, Clea. I finally learned how to use that demon exorcising spell you taught me. Took me a while to find some demons to practice on," Jack flashed his magic teacher a smile before he sat down with the rest of his squad.

"Hey, Jack. Thanks. You've been making my squad's job much easier by becoming a part-time demon hunter. The Bloodstones might even come after you if you keep taking away their job," Clea returned the smile and threw in a small joke

Clea was Jack's magic tutor and taught him how to use normal, non-demon/non-Potter magic. Clea was one of the most powerful magic users in the world and could rival even the great Doctor Strange. But it was her relationships with other people that made people truly fear her. Any one of the people backing her had an army, the power of a god, or both.

Her husband was the previously mentioned Doctor Strange. As in Doctor Strange the Sorcerer Supreme of their universe. The man had enough power to warp reality if he chose to. Those that power came with risks.

Clea was also related to Dormammu and Umar. The former was a Hell-Lord that had magical powers that surpassed even the Sorcerer Supreme while the latter was known as 'Best Lay in all of Marveldom'. Sec with her was so good that the Hulk was unable to stay as the Hulk and had returned to being Bruce Banner for 3 months after a single night with her. As in The Hulk was so satisfied with the sex he had, he did not want to appear for 3 months as he enjoyed the after-sex bliss.

After the 5 newcomers took their seats, Captain America gave them all a welcome speech about their new roles as Avengers, the high hopes he had for them, and a few other things.

'This guy sure knows how to give an inspirational speech. I should ask him for lessons.'

When he was all done, the various squad leaders introduced themselves to the new women.

"Hello, ladies. I am Jack's former squad leader before he took over his own. You can call me Natasha," Natasha introduced herself

"I'm his magic teacher, Clea. Nice to meet you, ladies, as well. Wanda, Jack has already asked me to help with your magical training," Clea greeted them all with a sweet smile

Both of the women greeted them warmly but Tony didn't let the good mood last long

"So we are all going to pretend we don't have 3 former criminals and a woman of unknown origin here? The southern belle nearly killed Carol!"

After he said this, the room was plunged into an awkward silence. The situation was indeed a bit awkward if one looked at the women's past deeds. Even Callisto could not be easily defended because there was literally no information on the woman.

"Enough, Tony. Jack vouches for them and I believe in him. This means I believe in them too," Natasha said from her seat

Clea echoed her sentiment

"Same. And if you really want to judge people based on their background, only Cap and Jack should be in the clear. With my family history and both of you and Widow's professions from before, we also should not be trusted."

"That's different and you know it!" Tony countered

"Enough! They are on the team and that's final. Everyone except Tony can go. I need to speak with you alone," Steve dismissed the rest of the Avengers

Jack and the mutant women walked away with Clea and Natasha. As soon as the door closed behind them, everyone could hear Steve yelling at Tony.

"Wow. I don't think I have ever heard Cap yell except for 'get to cover' or 'fire in the hole' before. Tony is very impressive," Clea commented. "Let me know when you want your first lesson later, Wanda. I'm sure that Jack has been bored being all cooped up lately and has a mission ready for you."

"Hmm. I actually do have a few potential missions lined up but we need to decide between them. So we'll talk to you ladies later."

Jack led the other women to one of the briefing rooms. He had them all sit down around a table while he pulled up several files on the large screen that was mounted on the side of the wall.

"I know you guys just joined and we haven't really gotten a chance to know each other but there are lots of mutants that need our help ASAP.

I have 3 missions lined up. Callisto. Look through and see which one we should go after first."

Jack began giving brief descriptions of the 3 targets he wanted to deal with. The first was the Weapons Plus/X Program. It was originally a government-run program created to make super soldiers but had basically been turned into a mutant concentration and experiment facility over the years.

The second target was the Essex Corporation. The leader was a mutant going by the name Mr. Sinister. And just like his name, he was indeed sinister. He would experiment on and kill countless mutants for research purposes. What his true goal was, no one knew.

Lastly was the Hellfire Club's Inner Circle. Shinobi's new Inner Circle had been making a lot of waves and not in a positive light. They were gaining far more attention than any other Inner Circle had done before and had even gotten on the Avengers radar. Jack put them on the list due to his plan on taking back a position in the Hellfire Club in the future so he didn't want this path burned by others.

Callisto listened to all the explanations and went over the information herself as she tried to get a feeling over which target they should go after.

"I think we should go for..."
