Issue #1

Jack and Wanda floated in the air as they watched Magneto set down the last few buildings that they had been constructing.

With all the buildings in place, Jack and Wanda began to chant together as red and blue light surrounded them respectively.

When they were done, a wave of light was unleashed from both of their bodies that few through the city. Once the light faded, hundreds of thousands of lights in the city turned on within all the homes and buildings.

Due to no longer living on Earth, Jack had to think of a way to power the city long term without trying to build his own super generator. In the end, he decided that the best way to solve that problem was with a 9 Realms solution. Magic.

Using magic as a generator and leylines as a powersource, the magic was able to convert into electricity that flowed through the entire city which powered pretty much anything.

Although Jack planned to get Forge and some other mutants to produce a normal powerplant later, he preferred to have this magical one as the backup in case the normal power ever went out.

But with this, the first mutant city of Jotunheim had been finished. While it had taken them 4 months, it was finally done.

Magneto flew over toward Jack and Wanda as the three of them looked down at the city they had built in amazement. This was not a city taken or a city given to them. It was something they had created with their own hands.

"This is only the first step, Frost," Magneto said as he looked at the city with longing

"Hmm. Indeed it is. This entire realm will change from the realm of giants to the realm of mutants in the future," Jack stated with pride

Besides his family, the number of people who knew about him ruling Jotunheim could be counted on a single finger. This was not just because the place was not ready and he didn't want to get others' hopes up but also because Jack did not trust everyone else.

Magneto and his 3 children were the only other people to know about him taking over the realm and his plans for the future. Not just because Magneto was the biggest mutant leader but also because his entire family would be vital in ensuring that the nation could be built.

With the city done, Jack and Wanda also cast a spell to conceal the city with powerful illusion and warding magic. This would keep the Jotunns away from their precious first city.

"And with this, we have no need to worry about the giants that walk these lands, Erik," Jack smiled at the older man

This was the first step he had made but it wouldn't be the last. The city could currently fit a couple hundred thousand when it needed to fit millions if all mutants would be brought back here. There were also so many other areas that were lacking when it came to production, safety, technology, and development.

"Enough, you two. You can admire the city later," Wanda said while beginning to open the portal back to Earth. "Father, you have that meeting with Doom. Jack, we have a class to teach."

The pair nodded at her words before following her into the portal she had just opened. The group reappeared in a secret bunker in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on a deserted island. This was the exact middle point between Magneto's castle and the Institute.

After arriving back on Earth, the trio split ways with Jack and Wanda heading back to the institute while Magneto flew back to Genosha.

During this time, Jack was not just working on the new city but was also teaching earnestly at the Institute and fulfilling his role as the leader of Excalibur.

With Jack present, there were enough teachers for the Danger Room training sessions to be divided by schools. Jack was in charge of training the elementary school-age mutants, Storm had middle school, and Logan was left to deal with high schoolers.

And luckily for Jack, he only had one class a day. Besides that, Jack kept up with training Generation X, Laura, and the Cuckoos since Beast was unable to find any students with magical potential.

So besides training a few young students, Jack led Excalibur on several missions with the goals of preventing demon summoning rituals, retrieving ancient artifacts, and stopping the Juggernaut on an occasion.

"I'll take to you later, Wanda," Jack said to Wanda before he left

As soon as they got back to the institute, Jack phased through the floor in order to get to the Danger Room rapidly. But even when he tried his best, he was still met with the stern face of Ororo.

She was having the kids do their warmups while she watched them from the control room.

"Ororo," Jack said with a bright smile on his face. "I'm so glad that you could make it for my class. I would love your advice on..."

"You are 12 minutes late, Jack," Ororo cut him off. "I was here for another 12 minutes after handling my class because you were late for the one class you have per day."

Jack did feel a bit guilty when she put it that way but he couldn't give in too easily. Underneath her kind, gentle, and mature personality, Ororo was a bit of a sadist and loved to hold stuff over others' heads if she got the chance. She also enjoyed getting involved in their romantic lives.

"I was off on a mission with Excalibur," Jack gave his usual excuse

"Stella was still here while Illyana was in classes. So unless you call a date with Wanda a mission, I think you're lying," Ororo denied him

Jack shrugged his shoulders in indifference. The rumors about him and Wanda dating had been spreading but Jack didn't really care, especially since he was interested in pursuing her and had gotten the 'ok' from Emma.

After Ororo teased him for a few minutes about juggling two women, she left Jack alone to teach his class.
