Harry woke up at precisely 5:30 in the morning, as he got up from his bed his workout clothes came flying out of his closet.

The magic mirror on his bedside table started to ring just as he was about to leave the room. The small mirror came towards him and started hovering in the air right in front of Harry.

Only fifth years and above are allowed to bring their mirrors in the school, for the first four years they still have to rely on writing letters. But for Harry sneaking an enchanted mirror into the school was never really an issue.

As he answered the call Harry sees his grandmother sitting on the couch having her morning tea while little Lily is sleeping with her tiny head in her grandmother's lap.

"I see you are heading out for your morning run. I am glad to see you are not getting lazy just because you are out of the house" Grandmother said with a look of approval.

Harry could only nod before grandmother continued "I hear congratulations are in order. You have no idea how happy your grandmother is that you got in Slytherin. I was beginning to think that I would be the only Slytherin in a house full of Gryffindors."

Harry accepted this with a smile instead of telling her that he would rather anywhere else, seeing how happy his grandmother is with him being sorted in the same house as her.

"Now go get your exercise, I won't take any more of your time." With that grandmother disconnected the call before he could respond.

Harry started at the mirror for a moment getting over this weird interaction before it finally flew back to his bedside table.

Seeing that there are no more interruptions Harry quickly wore his shoes and left his room. But he is once again halted by Oscar who is standing alone in the hallway.

"Oscar, what are you doing here so early in the morning?" Harry directly asked.

"I was actually waiting for you, Harry. I wanted to thank you for helping me but last night your scent stopped at this wall and I couldn't find you after that. So I waited here hoping to meet you on your way out." The boy eagerly answered.

"How long have you been standing here?"

Oscar rubbed his head in embarrassment "I have only been here for half an hour. But that's not a problem I get up this early every day."

Harry nodded "Okay I accept your thanks even if there was no need for you to do this. But promise me you won't stand here alone just waiting for me or anyone else ever again. You could have just talked to me during class or something."

Oscar nodded and Harry turned to leave but was stopped by Oscar clasping his clothes.

The werewolf stared at Harry for a few moments with such intensity that should not be present in a child.

"Why did you help me? You know that I am a ..." Oscar asked but couldn't finish the sentence.

"Yes, you are a werewolf. But that just makes you a little different from the rest and being different is never a bad thing. Uncle Remus is a werewolf but he is also one of the best DADA professors this school has ever seen and a part of that is due to curse."

"Being different is never a bad thing?" The boy slowly repeated still being unsure even as the words came out of his mouth.

"Oscar, I usually go for a run around this time in the morning with Rose and Charlie, why don't you join us? since you wake up early anyway." Harry offered.

Oscar could only nod at the sudden offer before he knew what was happening both the boys were already outside the Slytherin dungeon making their way to the school grounds.

Harry told Oscar to stretch and warm-up on his own before he made his way to Hagrid's hut. Harry entered the hut under the disillusionment charm without being noticed by the sleeping half-giant and Fang.

Harry carefully moved towards Hagrid's umbrella which is next to the sleeping half-giant, Harry took out the Elder wand and fixed the wand disguised as an umbrella. The large wand which was snapped into two became whole like it was never broken in the first place without affecting the appearance of the pink umbrella covering it up.

Harry returned to Oscar from his little adventure and found siblings arriving as Rose dragged a reluctant Charlie for their morning run. Harry pointed his wand at Charlie and a ball of water formed in the air before hitting his brother right in the face.

Being doused in cold water this early in the morning freed his brother from the grips of sleep, so much so that Charlie started chasing after Harry like an enraged bull.

Lily Potter pov:

Lily had trouble sleeping last night, she twisted and turned so much in bed that she was only able to sleep after James held her in his arms. Even then this rest only lasted a few hours so she got ready and floo'd back to school early in the morning.

Lily has been troubled ever since Harry got sorted in Slytherin, she has no problem with Slytherin House or any other house for that matter. Severus and Lily were close friends before he got sorted into Slytherin, now they hardly speak to each other.

Lily doesn't want the same to happen with her son and the incident last night only added to her concerns.

She was mindlessly walking towards her office when he saw her children and Oscar happily running around on the grounds. Seeing this suddenly made her realize that James was right, she was being ridiculous, Harry is still her son and that is not going to change just because he was sorted in Slytherin House.
