Harry pov:

The first month of their school year flew by before Harry even knew it. A lot has happened in this time but for Harry this month was pretty tame when compared to the last timeline.

The classes started as usual and the professors are the same as he knew them to be. McGonagall deemed Harry as a Transfiguration prodigy as soon as he non-verbally transfigured the match into an elaborate silver needle on his first try. Every time they meet the transfiguration professor complains that the sorting hat is wrong and Harry should be in Gryffindor instead, the professor has no idea how much he agrees with her but that useless old hat refused to budge this time.

Snape quickly made it apparent how much he hates anyone named potter from his first lecture, but this time instead of Harry the greasy git tried to grill his brother Charlie in front of the entire class but his brother correctly answered any question Snape threw at him. All three of them have survived their grandmother's rigorous lessons where you only pass after you do everything perfectly, so dealing with a petty potions professor is not that hard for his siblings.

While Snape forcefully deems Harry's perfectly brewed potions as nothing more than acceptable, on the other hand, Slughorn has clung to Harry like a drowning man clings to a raft. In just a month the portly professor has already shown to the entire school that he holds Harry in great regard, never shying away from openly favouring him. While Harry has politely declined Slughorn's offer to mentor him in potions as he is not interested in the subject but he is maintaining a close relationship with the socialite potions professor.

While the rest of the professors also favour Harry for his incredible aptitude and skills with magic but they at least try to maintain a professional environment during their lectures. Uncle Remus is still the best DADA professor anyone can ask for especially with Quirrell's lectures being as useless as they were last time. Thank Merlin that uncle Remus takes half of the DADA classes or Harry would have been worried about Rose and Charlie's education.

All of this attention Harry is receiving is not without its downsides, everywhere he goes people are always staring and whispering at him. Hermione has somehow made the two of them into bitter rivals all on her own. Harry would have been intimidated by the intense glares that the bushy-haired girl constantly throws at him if he didn't find the entire thing adorable. Seeing Hermione sulk and pout reminds Harry of his sister Lily. At least this Hermione is not alone like last time, she has a friend in Rose and from what Harry is seeing the two girls are already thick as thieves.

While Harry and Rose have tried to keep a low profile during this time the same can't be said for Charlie. It started at their first flying lesson, everything was going fine until Harry noticed that Neville lost control of his broom just like last time, the boy is absolute pants at riding a broom because of his fear of heights. So Harry took out his wand and stopped Neville in mid-air as he fell from his broom. This saved Neville from getting a broken wrist but he still fainted from the shock of falling, so Madam Hooch and Harry took him the hospital wing.

When Harry returned, he almost had a heart attack seeing his brother dive straight down from more than fifty feet in the air catching Neville's rememberball. Harry was stuck between being terrified for his brother's life and being proud of him. This is what Professor McGonagall must felt when Harry pulled the same stunt last time.

After a lot of yelling from McGonagall and their mother, Charlie joined the Gryffindor Quidditch team as their youngest player in more than a century. The next morning an owl dropped a brand new Nimbus 2000 for Charlie courtesy of their grandfather.

Harry is happy for his brother, Charlie has always been passionate about Quidditch, being a professional quidditch player is his second dream job after being an Auror like their father.

Harry won't play Quidditch this time around mostly because he has more important things to do with his time, while he loves to fly but he only loved the game because this was one of the ways Harry felt connected to his father. Now there is no need for such things because Harry has his real father with him and not just a chaser trophy with his father's name on it in the Gryffindor common room.

When Harry is not in class he is mostly in the Room of Requirements or with Hagrid. Harry uses the room to practise and train his magic.

After retraining his entire spell arsenal Harry spent the last few years training in ROR with Slytherin's portrait. With the chambers ability to cast perfect illusions Harry used the room as a way to simulate all kinds of situations by giving control of the room to the portrait.

The portrait throws Harry into all kinds of simulated situations all the while creating and controlling multiple enemies for him to fight and overcome. This has helped Harry train his magic to combat all types of situations all the while maintaining his edge in combat even in these peaceful times.

Harry time with Hagrid more or less serves the same purpose. He fixed Hagrid's wand to help the half-giant but also to get a proper duelling partner. What's better than a spell resistant half-giant who is also a very powerful wizard.

Even with a broken wand, Hagrid can perform basic magic to even some minor transfiguration, which alone speaks for Hagrid's skills with magic.

After being expelled Hagrid's wand was supposed to be snapped but due to a big size difference between regular wands and Hagrid's wand they didn't do it right. When a wand is properly snapped the magical core inside it is supposed to break with the wand but that didn't happen, but even still it was a wand that was broken into two pieces.

Even with a broken wand Hagrid still didn't give up, he still kept practising magic alone for decades even if it meant living in a hut with mostly broken things that constantly catches fire due to his attempts at magic. This dedication alone makes Hagrid a powerful wizard without even considering how much he accomplished with a broken wand.

So Harry mostly spends their time together helping Hagrid to get used to having a proper wand as this helps both of them in training their magic.
