Relationships in centuries

Hearing Azalea's closeness to Mr. Theria makes Elijah a little envious because there had never been someone like Azalea beside her. Elijah didn't feel Max cared so much about her that he dared to sacrifice his life for her.

"What's wrong?" Azalea was like being able to read Elijah's expression.

"I just feel jealous of you guys. I don't fully understand why you can be loyal to each other."

Azalea became interested in Elijah because of her point of view. In her opinion, Elijah had something interesting and special.

"From my point of view, because we understand each other's positions and we respect that."

"Position?"

Azalea was caught for a moment. She didn't expect to talk philosophically with Elijah.

"We understand our respective duties, I as Mr. Theria's servant and Mr. Theria as the servant of the Wave or the guardian of the Wave so that he is focused on continuing to be calm so that the Wave of the universe also run properly. If he was angry, then there would be a wave change, as well as when he was sad, it would affect various forms in the universe. Therefore, we are always careful, because we do not want to have a bad influence on the keeper of the Wave."

Elijah captures interesting and mysterious keywords.

"Wave? What is it?" Elijah repeated those words softly.

"I don't understand, what does Wave mean to our existence?"

Azalea uses the fingertips of one of her hands to support the chin. She looks very animatic. Elijah guessed what the meaning behind that expression was. She thought it wasn't something difficult to explain.

"It's a bit difficult for me to explain. Next time you might be able to look deeper. Most of the information is in the library or the living witnesses, Ms. Melianor and Mr. Theria."

"What about you? what do you know about the meaning of that Wave?"

Azalea seemed happy to be a reliable person.

"From my point of view. The Wave... Let's just use an analogy, have you ever written a story? It's long or short prose."

Elijah nodded. She remembers writing moments that she finally didn't pursue.

"In making the story we will start by introducing the character, then there will be an event experienced by the character, not just one event but various events, then each event changes character mindset. Can you catch the analogy I'm presenting?"

"I think, yes."

"That's the Wave in Mr. Theria's case. He must keep the wave of Wave from damaging the main character's mindset."

"So who is this main character?" Elijah was getting interested.

"The main character in the universe is the universe itself. If the waves from the Wave are too hard, the universe is churning violently. How do you feel when you listen to music that's too loud in your ears?"

"I'm not comfortable."

"You might as well get angry, and then do something to the source of that uncomfortable voice."

"I'll probably slam the speaker that pulled out that loud voice."

"It was an impulsive act," Azalea said to laughter.

"What can be done, something too noisy often causes emotions."

Here there was a change in her expression. Azalea kind of went back to her miserable past and she could only mourn it.

"That's what happens when the universe becomes emotional, the Wave will also do something to all of us. At first, the Wave will make a warning, but when the warning is not heeded, over time like you are angry and then damage the source, the thing that makes you feel uncomfortable you destroy. But do you think it will be finished there?"

Elijah felt she had to think. The problem is she doesn't know what to think. She replied, "Maybe not, because after getting angry and emotionally drained, I get tired and I usually choose to sleep."

Azalea smiled mysteriously.

"The universe also has such a system. Once the universe's emotions are overflowing and expressed, there will be remnants, and the rest of the anger of the universe cannot be fixed by any living being. We can only live among the remnants of the universe's anger."

"Mr. Theria has seen and felt it for himself, he does not want to repeat the beginning of life from the rubble, so he and Ms. Melianor continue to try to keep the construction of the wave of the Wave safe for all living things living on earth."

"Is it possible that there could be a repeat?"

The cold began to be felt by Elijah and Azalea. Their conversation is evolving in a new direction.

"Have you ever heard the expression of history repeat itself?"

Elijah nodded and suddenly began to feel sorry for the inhabitants of the Melianor Mansion. She couldn't imagine what kind of history the entire population of the Melianor Mansion had gone through.

"Mr. Theria and Melianor work hard from time to time to keep the waves of the Wave awake and not explode. Humans do many things over time, civilizations are constantly changing and those changes are often marked by tragic events."

"What do you mean?"

Although Elijah could imagine what the tragic event was, Elijah still felt unfair if Azalea did not confirm it.

"Wars and natural disasters are the two main reasons a civilization ends or disappears. Once upon a time civilization was reborn but it was already in a different form. The remains of previous civilizations only exist in memory, or if you're lucky enough you can find them in a variety of artifacts."

Elijah thought about it. She remembered a long-gone history lesson. Her schooling period ended two years ago. There wasn't a single discussion in history class that she liked.

"You're thinking of something?"

Azalea was an observer of often accurate expressions, so she could quickly catch Elijah's mood swings.

"It doesn't matter anyway, it's just that I remember the history lesson. One day the teacher talked about artifacts but I didn't pay close attention. Sorry," said Elijah, feeling guilty.

Azalea smiled faintly.

"You mean school?"

Elijah nodded.

"For a moment, didn't you see the development of the world outside the Melianor Mansion?"

Azalea smiled shyly.

"I followed the other side only until the war of independence. After that, I wasn't so interested."

"Why?" Elijah was surprised by Azalea's confession.

"Because I'm not comfortable with the changes that are happening."

"Why the hell? Maybe you can be surprised to see the changes out there. Many beautiful things happen too."

Azalea smiled awkwardly, "That's because each change also presents its challenges to Mr. Theria."

Elijah pulled her body. She captures something, there is a connection between Azalea and this Mr. Theria that she can never be replaced by. Relationships in centuries where they may have shared the same pain, striving for a common scope and purpose.

"Sorry, I told you bad things. You must be uncomfortable."

"No, it's okay. I can get to know you better. You guys live a long time, for me it's amazing, but it's possible for you..." Elijah's eyes dimmed.

"For us, it's amazing too," Azalea said, complementing the words Elija couldn't say firmly. Azalea also displayed a beautiful smile. That attitude amazed Elijah.

Mr. Theria appeared just as they were sharing a smile.

"Is there anything interesting?" asked Mr. Theria. His steps when approaching Azaila and Elijah seemed not to tread the floor, smooth and charismatic.

"This is a secret between us!" said Elijah. She then jumped up. "It's time to eat! Isn't it?"

Mr. Theria nodded.

Azalea woke up and she said, "Have a good time enjoying dinner. I can't accompany you because I have to do other tasks."

"Can't it be delayed?" Elijah sounded disappointed.

Azalea nodded gently.

"Okay then." Elijah regretted the parting. She had imagined that they would connect their conversation while having dinner together.

Azalea then said goodbye and she disappeared into the hallway.

Elijah looked at Mr. Theria and without much talk immediately walked by his side to get to the dining room. Elijah passed through several doors visible in the hallway. The area that she thought would decorate the painting turned out to be beyond her expectations. No paintings at all. The walls are plain. There are only a few animal sculpture decorations in some corners. The statues are in a location that will not be easily realized unless it is deliberately observing every inch of the building. Are they creatures of magi power and temporarily disguised as statues?

Elijah recalled her last experience, a lamp that she thought was made to resemble a large-sized firefly animal turned out to be a living being. She also thought with Azalea's words, various creatures stayed and remained silent in the shadows in the Melianor Mansion, so she began to suspect everything.

From then on, Elijah kept the question to heart, what was the function of the Melianor Mansion?

While walking in silence, Elijah only observed the surroundings. Some big windows pass through. From that window, she could see the view on the other side of the Melianor Mansion. Everything looks foreign but amazing.

Elijah was unceasingly surprised. Not only by the inhabitants of the Melianor Mansion but also by the Melianor Mansion itself. As it were, the Melianor Mansion had a history of its own life. Various questions grew in Elijah's heart. She deliberately didn't say it at the time. She chose to enjoy everything she could see.

Mr. Theria stopped at a door. Elijah recognized the door because Mr. Theria had pushed the door for her before. Behind the door, a dining room is available. This time, Mr. Theria invited Elijah to push the door herself with his body gesture. Elijah was so happy that he opened it without hesitation. She also stepped in first, but she stopped and turned her head quickly because Mr. Theria didn't come in with her.

"Aren't you going with me?"

"I have to do something else."
