Suspicion

Max walks through the silver town of B'tavia. The scorching sun of the day was like it could burn the hood of his car. Because of the heat of the weather, the buildings are seen snaking to avoid the sting of the sun. Trees that are only a handful at some point in the city will not be able to cool the atmosphere.

Since the news of her death, I have not visited her. Is this too late? not. I didn't go there because I felt like someone was up to the news of her death. How could she have died that easily? The woman who could defeat any giant could possibly just die. What monster took her life? Max wondered while driving safely. He also recalled his last conversation with Grandma Insun.

"It's better if Gorakshana himself tells you, it's because I don't know the details. If I told it, I was worried that I would add something wrong, like a verbal story that widened everywhere," Grandma Insun said with a smiling face. The quiet words of the grandmother and even Gorakshana will soon realize that Max can think clearly again.

While waiting for Gorakshana to reach consciousness, I had to find what monster was behind all this, Max decided that at a moment's notice.

"I'll be back soon. Tell him that if he's got consciousness, I'll deal with whatever bad news he's kept all this time," Max said. His gaze was straight on both of Grandma Insun's eyes. The teacher of the Rang Rang nodded. In her heart, she flattered Max who was getting more mature. Experience in other lives certainly gave him a lot of attitude changes. Whether it leads to good or doom will later depend on his choice, thought Grandma Insun who then patted Max on the shoulder like she was down to pray for his luck.

Now, Max is back in B'tavia.

It all started with the news of Bibi's death. If these random events had anything to do with her, perhaps I could find a trace, something is hidden from her body that was left behind or not at all? To be sure, I'll see it for myself. Max sighed, I thought I didn't need to do this. I thought I'd just contact Bayusuta, but in retrospect, this was necessary. Max then remembers the bond that occurred between them. That's no ordinary band.

Max had already entered the autopsy department's parking lobby. The three-story building was built by him. The interior design and exterior he chose himself with the Director of the Autopsy Department that was once in his school.

Max got out of the car and headed straight to the director's room. Max knocked on the door while peering at the contents of the room from the glass window attached to the door. Just like a customer who was curious if the doctor he would meet would bring bad news to him. Max smiled at the person who greeted him. The man immediately greeted Max with a friendly hug.

"Brother, where are you?"

"How are you, Won?"

"I'm good, how are you?"

Max didn't answer right away. He prefers to see the contents of the forensic expert's room.

"Okay, I know big brother is here for him, right? Not to visit me," Won spoke in a disappointed tone hidden. She gently pushed her brother to sit on the existing chair.

"Sorry, it's because you're always fine and grown-up. I can manage this place well. So I don't have to visit you often. You remember... The last visit. Still, remember how they were still astonished," Max spoke as he circulated his eyes throughout the room. "Do you have a drink?"

Won coded 'there' with his movements.

"Yes. How could my brother look younger than me and never age, right?"

Won spoke as he walked to the small refrigerator that was between his bookshelf and work desk. He took carbonated mineral water. "Try this new product," Won said as he handed over the bottle and sat down in front of his brother.

"What did you find from her?"

"You mean Bibi? I haven't done anything, I haven't got permission from the family representative. Fortunately, you came here..."

"What? Waiting," Max thought he was going to get an autopsy, but apparently didn't, "Haven't been granted permission to perform a thorough autopsy? Isn't Eliah's been here?"

Won looked confused. Both eyes narrowed.

"No, I even tried to call her but the number wasn't active, I went to your house yesterday, because I wondered why you hadn't come yet, even though you guys weren't close, but you weren't there, so I thought you were traveling and didn't know this news or you'd heard about it but were alone first because I knew how your relationship with her was."

Max only heard some of Won's words.

"Elia's not been here?"

Won shook his head.

"No one came except Bayusuta, he even asked day and night what if you had seen her. That's also why I went to your house."

It's weird, then which Autopsy Department did Elia go to before? Or did Elia lie? Max thought about it seriously.

"What's wrong?"

Won notices Max's change in attitude. Bro, you're so… What's wrong?"

"No, there's nothing, then I want to see it."

Won pulled out.

"You think I don't need to know the things you know, do you?"

Max looked at Won. Max asked for his understanding.

"Okay. I know. The Underground or the Underworld is not a world I have to mix up. I just have to keep your word and I'll be safe. You always have, but you should know that I'm ready to help you at any time, so when I need to get involved, I'll be happy to involve myself," Won said sincerely to look her brother's eyes straight because he was afraid that his brother thought his wish to return the favor was just a form of pleasantries.

Max patted Won on the shoulder.

"Take me to her," said Max briefly with a flat face.

Won sighed then obeyed his brother's will. They then walked to the morgue together while talking.

"Today is the deadline. If I don't get permission from the representative, I will perform an autopsy based on the law, because his death is the key to the investigation," Won deliberately told Max everything he knew. "I know you're going to need this information, that's why I told you all I know."

In silence Max thanked Won.

"Therefore, when I really have to get involved, don't hesitate to involve me," Won reminded her brother again. He wants his life to be a good one for Max as well. Although he knew the reason why his brother didn't want to involve him in the Underground conflict, he wanted his brother to know that he would be willing to be involved whatever the risks. Despite not getting the response he wanted from Max, Won continued, "Bayusuta is handling the case. You know, he's been trying to break through the Bawah Tanah Club for a long time because he thinks there are all sorts of suspicious practices there. It had been years that he wanted to check on his director, but that person always escaped. Then, according to him, Bibi who was one of the members of the Bawah Tanah Club was found dead in the hotel opposite the Bawah Tanah Club business, it was suspicious. He said he found some evidence that led to... Umm... He mentioned the crazy experiment and he wanted to stop it."

Max listened carefully and kept that information. Won touches the door of a special refrigerator for corpses.

"She's here, are you ready?"

Max nodded.

Won opens then drags a long tray containing a body covered with a special sleeping bag to help preserve the corpse. Max observed the body encased in the black bag.

Won observed his brother's face for a moment. He couldn't guess what his brother was thinking at the time. He only knew that the flat face wasn't focusing on the corpse in front of him. He was linking the information he had just received with Bibi. Ignoring whatever was going on to his brother, Won opened the zipper of the bag starting from the face.

The sound of a zipper sliced through the cold morgue. Max noticed every detail of the corpse's face that emerged from behind the sleeping bag.

"Open it all," Max asked Won.

Won dragged the zipper to the end. Everything is open now. Max and Won again saw clearly the curve of the corpse body that deserved to be called the Hottest Woman in the underworld. Won sighed. There were many things revealed from the corpse, but he was limited by the ethics of not saying it all. He then noticed his brother who was visiting Bibi's corpse in detail.

Big brother still couldn't believe that the person he cared for died horribly like this, Won thought. He then paused silently. After that, he returned to observe his brother's face. He was shocked, there was no sad or lost expression from the man's face, which was precisely the twitching eyes with wrinkled foreheads. The heat poured out of him. It was natural that he was angry, Won said to himself calculating Max's face, but then, he realized the expression was terrifying. The eyes are not the eyes of the sad and the lost, but the one who is angry at being betrayed.

"What's wrong, brother?"

"She's not Bibi," Max spoke in a depressed voice down his throat, seemingly his voice wrapped in anger that was being controlled.

"What?!'' Won's voice is shrill. "How do you know? To me, she's obviously Bibi."

"The skull of her head is larger than The Skull of Bibi's head, besides that the size of her shoulders is longer than Bibi's shoulders."

Won is now observing the body of the corpse that he thought was BIbi.

"What?!" Won was surprised, "How do you know?"

He couldn't hide his curiosity. It was strange that someone could recognize his acquaintance from the size of the skull and shoulder length.

"You must be very close to her if you know the size of a person's skull and shoulders," Won said in awe. He thought of many possibilities of how his brother could know such details. The only thing he thought about was that his brother had sex with Bibi a lot. Feeling uncomfortable, Won immediately got rid of that thought. He placed his hands on the corpse table.

"Then who is she?" Won asked horrifyingly.

"Contact Bayusuta, he should know about this and you should find out his identity soon."

"Does that mean Bibi is still alive?"

"I don't know," Max replied doubtfully. His mind was now analyzing all the events from the beginning. It begins with how Elia got to his house and Melianor. Max was aghast.

"Call Bayusuta quickly. Tell him I want to see him."

"Wait! Why rush? Where are you going?"

"Jam," said Max in a hurry. "Tell Bayusuta, I'm waiting for him at the Jam bar."

"Why not just wait here?"

"No. I'm afraid something will happen to Jam."

Won understood right away.

"Okay."

Won takes his phone out of his lab coat pocket. He pressed Bayusuta's number while Max had already bolted out. The problem is, Bayusuta didn't pick up his phone.

"Shit! What's really going on?"

Won tried again. At that moment he glanced at the corpse that was beside him. If she's not Bibi, then who? Fingerprint. Bayusuta will need it. Big brother's claims are terrible.

Won decides to send a message to Bayusuta. He said what his brother said well. The difference was only one, he asked Bayusuta to come first to his place. After sending the message, he was busy preparing the tool.
