Harmony Of The Cosmos

I thought of the times I wanted to see the clear night sky, without smoke or city lights constructing the view. And the promise I made to my little brother, who also loved to see things light up. My father had introduced me to the concept of stars and the Universe at a tender age.

And when my baby brother came along, it was only natural that I would share the hobby of the stars with him. And babies love shining things, so my brother was instantly hypnotized at seeing computer-generated images of the galaxy. And now, I was getting a chance to see it in person.

A tinge of sadness struck my heart as I remembered that specific memory of my baby brother. He was playing with a new toy I had bought him. My brother always had trouble sleeping, but he would sleep instantly when I placed that new toy next to him.

The toy was a lamp with a dome cover. The dome had holes to allow the light to escape. It could rotate slowly to give the illusion that the stars were moving. And my brother loved it. When my brother had fallen asleep, he had a running trend of smiling.

And I always thought that it was so cute that he probably dreamed about being in the night sky. I regretted leaving him alone. I felt that I had betrayed him by living in another world where all our tiny wishes came true. Then, a small popout came into my vision.

"Notice. I've finished the full analysis of the unknown opponent that joined the arena. His name is-"

"I think I can introduce myself on my own, thank you very much. That voice is only audible when you end up in this place since this is the area within my mind. And only a handful of people can access Words Of the World. I am one of those people."

"I am one of the Founders of the Arks. I am the leader and Founder of the Blizzard Faction Ark, the sea defense of the Arks. My name is Zanier Alooz Carmen. You can call me Z. This place exists as one of my spells and a fraction of my mind. A place that holds destruction into a mere space."

"Welcome to the realm I dwell in. Harmony Of The Cosmos. And I am delighted that you have a direct connection to that voice."

"But, because of your talents, the Words Of the World has to dumb down her functions. Isn't that right, Vania?" introduced the man who called himself 'Z.'

I was still shaken from how powerful the guy was and assumed my attacking stance. The Mage, who called himself Z, smiled as he witnessed how shaken I was.

"My dear child. There's no way you can swing your sword at me if you are shivering that violently. I understand that you'll switch to a defensive stance, but it's no use either. Because."

The Mage vanished from his spot and appeared right in front of me. This guy was fast, quicker than any other Mages I've encountered. I could barely blink, and the Founder had lessened the gap between us.

"It would only take a mere flick to catch you off-balance," finished the Mage with a smirk.

Had I been a fraction slower, I would've been shot in the head with Z's Kunais. Instead, I dodged the weapons by bending my upper body backward, creating a bridge position. I then kicked my legs up, trying to disarm Z.

But the plump man jumped back, and I backflipped away and prepared for another match. And this time, there won't be any restrictions. Z threw a single Kunai to my face as I recovered from the flip. I deflected it with my blade but had to run along the perimeters to get nearer to him.

I hate matching against projectile weapons, and it's a nightmare trying to get close to them. But those Kunais were stubbornly strong, and deflecting them took up a lot of my strength. I was at a loss within this place since this arena only existed in Z's head.

It's the perfect battlefield for him and the worse for me. Not to mention there weren't any obstructions around to help with cover. I couldn't even use the skill of 'Escape' or hide in my shadow. Thus, the only way was to fight him until I fell.

Or keep dodging his attacks until either Z or I end up quitting. Finally, after endless running about, I found a way to get close enough to land a strike. After dodging some Kunais, I changed my footing and held my blade above my shoulders.

"Scarlet Petunia!" I yelled, pouring scarlet red Elemental Energy into the blade.
