As I was swinging my blade downwards, a trail of scarlet flames followed. Z threw a bunch of Kunais towards the fiery line, but a bunch of large Pentunias blossomed all at once. Z widened his eyes for a moment as the flowers exploded, blinding both of our views.
This was where I quickly got behind the Mage to get a good strike. But I was horrified to see that my blade was stopped by the man's fat hand. Seeing that my weapon was within the opponent's grasp, I instantly ditched it and leaped backward for safety.
I quickly recalled the longsword before the Mage could snap my sword into two. The weapon vanished as Z gripped onto the handle.
"Interesting, your weapon is the same as Bryan's. That splendid thing of beauty is a part of you, so you'll never be able to lose it unless you die. Although, there's a slight power difference between yours and Bryan's weapon. But I can't figure it out," said Z, throwing more Kunais at me.
By this time, I was getting sick of deflecting those pesky things. Not to mention that the Kunais were engulfed with the same Elemental Energy as Bryan's power. The two of their Elements were so similar it was hard to tell apart. But their moves in combat were vastly different than each other.
Z takes the cake in having fast reflexes. Despite being so huge, this Galaxian Mage could somersault in the air as he had practiced gymnastics all his life. And when I did clash with Z, my blade hardly moved his hand, despite my arms going full strength.
I quickly changed my tactics and jumped upwards while still clashing with Z's Kunai. Then, I lifted my left leg to deliver a strong kick towards the Mage's right cheek. But the opponent could see through my sudden movement and was ready to block my attack.
Once he did, Z dropped his Kunai and grabbed my leg. This man had the strength to swing me around by the ankle above his head and threw me away like a ragdoll. I tried my best to turn my body into a proper position for landing but to no avail. I was still flying through the air.
As I tilted my head to see the distance, I saw an impossible sight. The Galaxian Mage was giving chase?! Oh man, how much does this Igor wants to kill me?! I called out Cascada: Wave Of the Night to stop myself from flying and quickly summoned back my blade before Z could stab me.
The impact of Z clashing with me resulted in a giant shockwave. And both of us were pushed back. We landed meters away from each other. I was panting as I gripped onto my sword.
"Don't get the wrong idea, child. I'm not here to kill you, and I highly doubt you can even defeat me," said Z, lowering his Kunais.
Not here kill to me?! Then why are you throwing daggers at me?! What do you think I am, a human pincushion?! Or a practice dummy for your endless Kunai collection?! My mind was filled with ways to get back at this Mage... Founder or not, he was getting on my nerves.
"Then why are you getting more toys out?" I asked, pointing to Z's other hand.
"Toys? Do you call these things toys?! That's so rude!" asked Z, stunned that I'd mocked his favorite weapon.
"Well, if they were regular Kunais, they would be considered as toys. And besides, if that's the case, why are those Kunais glowing behind you?" I asked, tilting my head to see the array of colors behind him.
Z looked terrifying as he tilted his head to the side to smile. There was a glaring resemblance of his smile to Mavislin's previous grin. There were a total of six glowing Kunais hovering behind him. Each Kunai was aiming for my legs in a diagonal position.
Every Kunai had a different color than the rest, probably representing the Elements Z could use.
"Ah... You are quite clever, aren't you? Even though my Kunais are pointed downwards, lowering from its normal launching stance... You never lowered your guard. Most of my enemies died in this way, thinking that I had lowered my weapons to stop attacking them."
"You, my dear, are the opposite. You were more alert when I changed the directions of the Kunais. Now I know why Mavislin likes you. My underling has got good judgment," said Z, relaxing his shoulders.
"Of course, I'm more alert! Your Kunais were fixed onto my legs! I've mostly shown my physical strength throughout this fight through my limbs. But my legs are the strongest because I've used them for running and jumping with ungodly strength," I answered.
