Where Do I Go Now?

And to put the cherry on top of the tired mess, the parents weren't coming home until the wee hours of the morning. Thus, that guy was left sitting in front of the house for the next six hours. Oh yea, the poor guy couldn't enter the workplace because he had his keycard with the keys.

If Z were my friend who lost his keys, the equivalent of lifting the pond would be raising the entire office building. I then remembered something. If Bryan is out cold now, where am I supposed to go? I don't remember getting back to his place for shelter.

"What am I supposed to do now?" I asked Z as I pondered more about what to do for the day.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Z.

"Well, Bryan was the one who sheltered me for the past day and night. After our friendly match, the Slayer was supposed to show me around the human village. Now, I've got nothing to do."

Mavislin halted for a moment, causing Vania to stop. The Valkyrie then grew up and was back into a teenage form. The two walked over to Z, and I. Vania bowed down to Mavislin to thank her and vanished back to me. My vision did not change when Vania went outside.

However, when she returned, more popouts came out. They were like observation notes like the area around and more information processing about my knowledge.

"Well, I wanted to ask if you are up to the challenge I've set for you tomorrow. However, seeing that you had the bravery and courage to stand up against Z... I've made up my mind to allow you to join the Barren Pillars. Although, if you do want to have a match with me, I'll gladly do so," said Mavislin.

Hm... I would love to do so, provided she doesn't kill me in the process. Dueling with Bryan was fun for me, and the next match with Z was also thrilling. Fighting a Valkyrie should be more exciting than those two. But I was still on the fence about it.

Until Vania popped out a series of quests to gain Bond Level Points for Mavislin, each reward for a successful level up was pretty desirable as a Mage. Especially that last one, I could use that armor suit. I've got no complaints with the one I have now but...

It would be better if I had gotten a proper suit of armor. The one I'm using now was slightly more difficult to maneuver around within battle. As a result, I don't generally put on suits of armor when I enter into fights in the previous world unless it was a proper fencing match.

Even then, my protective gear isn't made out of metal or as bulky as the one I've got. It's not about the weight but rather the design of it... I'm not fond of it at all. So I scrolled through the rewards column and expanded upon the quest to get the reward.

And by entering the challenge made for me against Mavislin, I would uncap more Bond Level Point with her. And the reward would be increasing my Elemental Energy Pool. I wonder what would be the reward for joining the Arks. And it would seem that Vania had that answer as well.

I was astounded with what I would get if I had the approval by the Headmaster for being in the Arks... A brand new secondary weapon! I sincerely hope I can live up to their expectations because the weapon would be made by one of the Founders as a confirmation gift.

But getting approved was no easy feat. First, I had to participate in a Major mission with every leader of an Ark. That meant I'd have to go on five different Major missions to get the approval.

And each Major mission with them is a level higher than the ones on the board. So, for example, I understood that Mavislin and Ysabeau didn't participate too much in the final fight for the Albion mission compared to the Umbra one.

But imagine going through tasks like the Umbra one five times! I know I've only read it, but that mission was terrifyingly challenging to complete without the help of the other Founders.

I was beginning to worry about being in a high position within the Pillars. Vania stated that this quest wasn't mandatory for my growth level, but it has its advantages. For instance, I would be getting rewards for each mission I go on with a Leader.

But once I started thinking about the risks and that challenge with the Valkyrie, I felt my head spin. I took back my cup to sip a drink before continuing my mental train of thought.
