Her figure looked as small as Mavislin's current child appearance. The child scanned her surroundings before closing her eyes once more. When she opened them again, the girl's eyes were wide open. I peered closer to her and found that one of her eyes was now bright blue.
I dare say that Mavislin was as cute as the child sitting before me. I had not expected that doing a physical form for Vania would be so easy. I took a look at my Elemental Energy bar. The act barely made a dent in the pool. Finally, the child looked at me and stood up.
I was holding Mavislin until she started squirming in my grasp. Finally, I placed her down, and Mavislin quickly ran around the new kid while scanning her head to toe. The little Valkyrie then hugged the frozen child while Z begged Mavislin to let the new kid go.
"No, Mavy... You can't touch her so familiarly! It's bad manners to do that!" scolded Z, shaking his head.
"No! My new friend!" protested Mavislin, hugging the child tightly.
"She's not even meant to exist. Please step away from her now! Who knows what's going to happen if you keep rubbing her cheek like that!"
Mavislin pouted, and the child spoke.
"I will not harm anyone unless Elizabeth's life is in danger or if I was commanded to kill. I cannot feel pain or poison anyone who touches me. Although, Lady Mavislin is hugging me with force strong enough to snap a human's backbone into two."
"I recommend Lady Elizabeth not to get embraced by this little kid," explained Vania, still keeping an unfazed look.
Somehow or rather, this kid was glaring daggers right at me. Her eyes seemed hazy despite sparkling for a moment earlier. But I was too distracted from her cuteness to care about the child's intention. The kid finally broke into a smile and gently hugged her new friend back.
Mavislin clapped and cheered for joy when Vania expressed some form of emotion.
"I am Vania. I am the Words Of the World. It's a pleasure to mee you in the flesh, Lady Elizabeth Einzfield. Do take note that while I am in this form, you can command me to be an extension of your arsenal. It is similar to how a Familiar works. You can make me return anytime."
"Thus, you can command me to fight instead of you, but it will cost more Elemental Energy. Would you like me to stay in this form permanently?" asked Vania.
Vania's red-colored eye wasn't normal, unlike her blue one. I looked closer at the crimson orb, and it didn't have any pupils inside. No, it looked into a computer's program with strong binary running through them. I found it amusing but hard to stare at for a long time.
I thought about it for a few moments, but looking at Mavislin, who was so happy with her new friend, I guess it might be better for Vania to stay in her physical form for a bit. But all the time? I highly doubt I could last for another week.
"How about occasionally? Like when I need someone to help me in battle or give Mavislin a playdate?" I suggested.
Vania nodded and played with Mavislin in a game of chase the butterflies. The two kids looked so much like human toddlers running about despite one being a Valkyrie and the other one an AI.
"That's quite a smart thinking you've got. It's like having a person to summon when you need it in battle," noted Z.
I then turned to Z to ask him a question that had been floating in my mind.
"By the way, what was the exact thing that got you exiled? Like, what did the Time Mage saw you do?" I asked.
"Ah, that. Well, I was bored, so I was testing out my powers of the Oceans, so I lifted an entire pond. But unfortunately, only the water was in the air, and the creatures were stuck in the empty hole. But the truth was, I was trying to get my house keys from the pond and got frustrated."
All that trouble... For a bunch of house keys?! Granted, that poor man needed those keys to get home but lifting an entire pond would be overkill. Imagine if that happened in my previous world, everyone would go on riots! I recalled my school days when I had to do an internship.
I had a partner who had forgotten to take his house keys back for the weekend. The poor guy left it in the office, and we'd locked the area before we left. My friend only figured out his keys were left behind when he wanted to open his door.
