Blue Dagger

"Seriously, because you think I couldn't handle your past as an undercover killer?" asked Mavislin, hopping off from my lap to revert to her teenage form.

Oops. I think you've made your missus upset. Best hope you've got the skills to make it up to her tonight, dear Time Boy. But on a serious note, I want to know the truth behind Raijin's initial death before he became a Corrupted being.

"I had two names when working in the Congregation. One is my normal name, Raiyen Harmony, and the old members knew me as a Triplet Holder. That's all, but things are slightly different when you call me by my second name. I have to tell you guys but make sure not to let Baldwin know."

"Or else I might awaken some bad memories locked in his head for the past couple of years. My second name is Blue Dagger," revealed Raiyen as the room was drenched in silence.

Z's face was pale as a ghost, and the Valkyrie was frozen solid like a block of ice. Bryan was shocked, but his face contorted into an angry expression after a few seconds of digesting the information. I was the only one who looked normal in the room, with Raiyen looking quite guilty.

The Galaxian Mage went over to Raiyen to grab him by the neck, looking like he was on auto-pilot. I was the only one who could think straight at the time and quickly grabbed Z's arms before he could snap Raiyen's neck.

The Valkyrie woke up from being a block of ice and went over to help me stop the rampaging Galaxian Mage. All the while, Bryan stood from the sidelines as if he wanted to pull out a weapon to stab Raiyen in the back. I could catch a glimpse of something shining in his hand.

But he quickly put it away after seeing Z had made the first move. Bryan was not trying to cause a scene, but he wanted to smack that Time Mage's face for his crimes.

"You are the Blue Dagger?! I ought to beat the ever-loving crap out of you!" yelled Z, still trying to snap the poor kid's neck.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Use your words, man! Use your words!" I yelled, hopefully trying to get someone else within the building to help us out.

"To hell with using my words if it's against his likes! Do you know how many innocent people you've killed?! How many lives you took just for doing your job?! Have you not considered taking a step back and using your brain to think before you acted?!" roared Z.

Mavislin and I glanced at each other before looking back to the Galaxian Mage in confusion. Z, with a burst of inhuman strength, shook out of our grips and released Raiyen from his giant hands. The Time Mage landed nicely on the ground without any expression whatsoever.

Z went over to the tabletops and typed in something before a large mass of screens popped out for everyone to see. I could see that the Slayer was trying his best to calm himself down and not jump into a frenzy as Z did.

"It was already sketchy that you were the only Time Mage within the Congregation, and now you are telling me you were also serving under the name 'Blue Dagger'?! You are so lucky that you told me instead of the rest. Or else you won't be standing there anymore."

Are you sure he is lucky for telling you? Without Mavislin or I, that guy's neck would be crushed under your hands!

"Blue Dagger was one of the Triad Assassins of the Congregation. Otherwise known as the Trio Blades, these undercover killers did not belong to any department of the group and could freely roam around the Five Domains as they did their duties of killing people in the shadows."

"Old Man Pond directly commanded them. If that Mage saw a person who was threatening his position as the leader of the Congregation, he would send one of the Daggers to kill them off. In the end, over half a million lives were put down because of such commands."

Okay... This Old Man Pond of this realm is horrifyingly similar to another dictator that I studied about in school. But another thing weighed on my mind as I looked at the floating screens. These weren't profiles or reports detailing every victim.

They were all screens listing all the victims that the Triad Assassins had taken down. There were so many of them... I began to feel my head whirl at such an atrocity.

"And with my luck today, I find that you were behind the Blue Dagger title, the one who was responsible for half of the deaths in the list," continued Z, glaring at Raiyen.
