Third Day

Wasn't I supposed to be at Z's room discussing the mission?

As I tried to leave the room, I opened the door to find a small Valkyrie greeting me in her pajamas and stuffed toy bunny. I swear, I could've kicked her face by accident had I not had the habit of looking down so much. The Valkyrie then leaped into my arms and gestured for me to get back.

I reluctantly agreed since I had started to feel light-headed again. I saw that my Elemental Energy bar was relatively low and understood why I was feeling hungry. As I sat back down on the bed, Mavislin crawled out of my grasp and snuggled into my bed.

"How long have I been out?" I asked, placing Mavislin's stuffed toy beside her.

"You slept through last night and this morning... And Bryan has been in this room for the whole time until now. I had to bring his dinner and breakfast because he refused to go out until you woke up," explained Mavislin, hugging her bunny tightly.

My eyes widened because a guy had been with me when I was asleep. Mavislin noticed my blushing cheeks and quickly raised her hands.

"No, no! He'd never do anything to you. Besides, the Old Chapel is a girl, and she would protect young ladies like you. If intruders come into our room when we are asleep, the doors of our room would vanish. So Bryan never did any bad thing to you," explained Mavislin frantically.

Bryan came in with a wooden tray filled with food while having a meat skewer in his mouth. He then placed the tray onto the desk and walked over to us.

"There's no way I would do anything nasty to you when you have the movements of a killer when you sleep. I covered you with the blanket since it started getting cold, and you kicked me across the room. I still have that bruise, and I bet I will be feeling it for the next few days."

Bryan sounded so annoyed that I would accuse him of such things. I giggled as Mavislin hopped out of bed and onto the middle of the floor. A small wooden table appeared and three cushions. Ah, I'm going Japanese style of eating today.

Bryan moved the food onto the new table, and I was surprised at how delicious the dishes looked. It was rice with miso soup and cooked salmon. The enormous plate was filled with teriyaki chicken on skewers, wondering how Clement got these ingredients.

"Clement doesn't get these ingredients; the Old Chapel can procure any foods we need so long as it's the realm of possibilities. Clement was a chef before joining the Arks, so he knew how to cook dishes of different ethnicity," explained Mavislin, returning to her teenage form.

That was odd. Was Clement that well-rounded that he knew how to cook Japanese and Mediterranean food? Well, whatever it is, I'm not complaining since the food smells heavenly. So I began to dig in and figured that I must've been starving since I had eaten everything on the tray.

Mavislin and Bryan could only stare at me as I wolfed down the entire feast. After finishing the soup, I felt my energy coming back to me and was now more aware of more surroundings. Finally, after letting a tiny burp, I faced the two shocked Mages with a question.

"So, since I blacked out, did you guys continue the meeting and find any useful information about the last kid? And an overall summary of the entire discussion?"

"We didn't finish it. After you blacked out, it made no sense to continue when our strategist was unconscious. You were mumbling something before you fully blacked out as well. Something about the Black Knight's real body..." explained Bryan.

That lightning bolt struck my head once more as I quickly described what I knew about the Black Knight from my side of things. But, of course, I couldn't let them know that my sources were from a novel in my previous life, so I had to fabricate a lie to cover my tracks.

"Though the Black Knight and Mordred picture looked way too different from being the same person, their body sizes match. Unfortunately, when Mavislin was busy with her explanation, I found that Mordred's body was never recovered from the aftermath of the final battle."

"In the proper course of history, Sir Bedivere should've been at the hill to take the King away from the place, leaving Mordred's dying body to rot there. However, with the recent data of the battle of Camlann... The pictures didn't show Mordred's body," I replied as images appeared in my vision.

Mavislin was shocked as she drew some connection to the Black Knight and the final battle of Camelot.
