My Trick Of The Fourth Order

Of course, Vania. I'm well aware of that last part. So now then... What are the best moves for me against the Iron Canine? Vania kept silent as she showed me the Orders within my Spell details. I was captivated by the story behind each Order and found one to fit the bill.

"I'll be using the Fourth Order of my Original Spell; The Ripper's Mist City. It comes from a legend from my past about a serial killer that became infamous for killing prostitutes in the East End of London. Regrettably, he was never caught, and no one could crack the case after about 200 years."

"Many have noted that the killer's skill with the blade can be on par with a skilled surgeon since he was known for taking out organs from his victims. The spell that I will be using would be based on the man called Jack The Ripper, and the attack itself would have the Element Of Poison."

Raiyen stopped dead in his tracks, making poor Duncan bump into the stationary Time Mage. As I looked behind, I noticed Raiyen's face had turned pale, and his eyes were wide open as if he had done some crack. But as I walked nearer to him, the Time Mage backed away.

It wasn't fear that Raiyen showed; it was like I had said something wrong about him behind his back. Finally, after a deafening moment, the Time Mage relaxed and sighed.

"The year was 1888, in the far East End of London, around Whitechapel. Jack the Ripper was a ruthless and slippery killer who carefully took out the organs of women and placed them beside their bodies. Though he had a low kill count of five confirmed victims, Jack is still quite a star."

"Because those numbers aren't close to the actual body count that Jack the Ripper has during my time. I am well aware of the legend of this serial killer, but I won't say that I'm proud of it. I'm not sure if your Original Spell makes you learn the origins of your different moves..."

"But be cautious when you use that Fourth Order of yours. You might see something that might make your stomach turn or question why and how humans could be so fragile yet cruel simultaneously," said Raiyen, giving me a warning glare.

As the Time Boy gave me that glare, I could see my interface changing from docile to hostile mode as Vania saw Raiyen as an enemy. I had to command Vania to stand down as Raiyen wouldn't fight us yet. But I couldn't stop Vania's scan from occurring, so it led me to question...

Why is this Mage's information redacted and all over the place? Suddenly, a flash of something grey appeared in my vision. I got a shock but recovered quickly without anyone noticing what had happened. Was that because of the Time Mage's glare? No, it couldn't be...

"Are you alright, Lizzie? You look quite conflicted... Did Raiyen say anything wrong about this Jack the Ripper man?" asked Bryan, holding my shoulder.

My mind paused to wonder how Raiyen was so detailed about such a legend when he was supposedly from the same era that the Founders were based at, around the late 1300s to the early 1400s. So unless he had been to the future, which is likely, Raiyen would know about Jack.

However, the more I thought about it, the more the truth haunted me. Raiyen's Ancient Relic... Time Ripper was somehow related to the legend of the Leather Apron. I remembered reading about it during the pilot chapters of the novel when the author was describing all the Relics.

It was a shame that I was killed when the author was about to dive into Raiyen's past. The novel had reached the end of the Atlantis Arc and was going to enter the next arc. Unfortunately, both the Dollhouse Arc and Six Rogue Mages Arc had ended first.

Sandwiched right between the Dollhouse Arc and Atlantis Arc was the wedding and marriage life of Raiyen and Mavislin. They enjoyed life as they took a few months off from work since Bryan and the children were stable enough to handle the Minor Missions.

But knowing that it is a fantasy and action novel, the author couldn't give the couple a break as something happens that triggers the Atlantis Arc. Z was about to face off the true monster of the Mariana Trench, The Sleeping Primordial Goddess of the Salt Sea, Tiamat.

The previous they fought was nothing compared to the real deal hidden underneath the ocean's surface. Someone had broken the monster's slumber by shattering a seal created by the ex-members of the Congregation. Now, a literal Goddess was to go on a rampage.
