Motherless Slaughter

That was when I felt it. That considerable sense of dread and fear loomed before I could unleash the attack. Why is this happening now?! Was it because of the nature of the Spell I'm using? I was scared to turn around but needed to do so since it was forcing me.

As I forced myself to see what was the dread behind me, I was met with a scene worse than the earlier mass killing of dolls. I tried to hold in my food as I witnessed hundreds of dead children falling from the skies. But, oh... Where are Tomoe's hands when I need them?!

Yet, I cannot allow myself to get affected by such things when I have seen worse before. But it's still upsetting to see so many lives lost just because the prostitutes needed to continue working, and those who were found pregnant in a brothel would be kicked out.

I gripped onto my sword and forced the Spell upon it, causing the weapon to morph into two wooden daggers. They were like butcher knives but were much slimmer and made of wood.

"We are the unborn children humans have forsaken for the ease of jobs and everyday life. And this is our revenge... Motherless Slaughter!" I shouted, diving down from the building and towards the Iron Hound.

The first strike took out the communications, and the subsequent strike took out his Elemental Core, effectively destroying the Iron Canine. The weapons in my hand had a trail of purple smoke as I induced Poison into the enemy's body.

Minwoo tried to stop the last set of strikes by stepping into the fray, but it backfired as I slashed through his scabbard and nailed the final strike on the Hound of Madness' neck. The fight was over... At least, that's what I thought. The Mist City had faded away when Goibiniu was killed.

It's a shame that the fight was over too quickly. Had the Conchorbar met another person who wasn't as relentless as me, he would've managed to do some tricks before rolling over to die. But now I was facing another opponent that should have been dead long ago.

"I am very impressed with your skills as a Swordsman, Lady Lizzie. However, it isn't enough to win me over."

"Oh... So you think I still can't match up to you? Oh, I'll show you who is the Swordsman Pillar around here," I said as my primary weapon transformed back into its longsword state.

We both pounced at each other at incredible speeds, making sparks fly as we clashed several times. My arms were being forced into positions that should not be possible, while Minwoo had no problem with flexibility.

His attacks were light but quick, dealing minor cuts and bruises, while mine was slow and powerful attacks coupled with some thrusts. Each cut was healed instantly on my side, but he did land an intense wound on my side, causing my health bar to get cut by a slight fraction.

Vania could not heal the wound, making the girl prompt a full-scale analysis of the injury and Minwoo. Meanwhile, I was still going at the White Rat and finally landed a blow on his shoulder. I heard his arm popping out of the socket, but the guy couldn't be bothered to care as he fixed his arm.

"Not bad... No wonder Mavislin chose you to be the Swordsman Pillar. Tell you what... Let's end this off with a Spell of our own... If your Original Spell overwhelms my attack, I'll concede defeat."

"However, if it's the other way 'round, then I want you and your gang to turn tail and go home. Deal?" asked Minwoo, wanting to get out of a dead man's lair.

"Concede defeat? Don't make me laugh... I don't want your small-phrase of 'Oh no, you win, I lose.' Don't give me that kind of crap. I'm not here to make friends or play games. I'm here to kill anyone in my way. I've just silenced your little dog a few Tocks ago..."

"Are you sure you want to challenge my Original Spell?" I asked, pointing at the victim's dead body.

"You talk as if I was the same side of this Mad Dog."

"Well, I thought you were on the same side since we've been fighting each other the whole time. But, earlier, you did try to save the Iron Canine at the last second."

"If that were the case, I would've stopped you ages ago. But instead, I wanted to test your capacity as a Pillar. And I never tried to save him. I was using my scabbard to point at his weak point for you to strike, not that you need it. So, you want to kill a dead man?" asked Minwoo, smiling.
