The True Jack The Ripper

But the Time Mage didn't waste any time as he quickly neared the gap with his enemy, running on the mirrors and cracking them despite seeing his worst fears and memories in their reflections. Raiyen finally managed to close in the distance, but Tomoe's call rang.

With the interruption, Raiyen was forced to back off as his vision got clouded by Tomoe's fight. Raijin sensed something was off and took advantage of the situation by kicking Raiyen at his left cheek, causing the Time Mage to fly to the corner of the cave.

"Damned fox... Why did I ever think to bring him along..." complained Raiyen, trying to get up.

But since Tomoe was still on the line, Raiyen had no choice but to help his Familiar. So when the Kitsune vanished from the link, the Time Mage seized the chance to attack Raijin but was met with an onslaught of lightning bolts from the mirrors.

While trying to dodge the raining bolts, Raiyen had accidentally caught a glimpse of a reflection in one of the mirrors for too long of a Tick. This mistake caused the Third Mystery to work its Magecraft on the Time Mage, making him see something he hated.

"I thought you'd always tell me to be careful during battles? So how did you manage to fall for such an easy trick, Blue Dagger?" asked Raijin, with a creepy grin plastered onto his face.

"Shut up... You undead pri-"

"Never mind now... It's time to fall into slumber and relive your precious past... But be careful; if you go into too deep, you might never awake again..."

Before Raiyen could finish, the Time Mage collapsed as the mirror dragged him into Hell. At this moment, the group could not track Raiyen's Elemental Energy or Aura levels. It was as if the man had vanished from the planet itself.

When Raiyen awoke, he wasn't pleased to see the area he was sleeping in. The Time Mage was lying on a cold, hard pavement with a newspaper as his blanket. Raiyen took a whiff of the area and looked around in disgust.

"That Raijin knows how to piss off so well that I think I should change my items to hate list to just his name... And maybe Tomoe... But this area shouldn't be in the mirrors if it reflects my fear. I'm not scared of my birthplace, just disgusted by it..." said Raiyen, getting up.

The place was a replica of his old memories, a few good centuries ago... When the Time Mage was born. Then, no one knew where Raiyen was from, and the Time Mage was afraid to tell anyone unless it was deemed necessary for a specific task. But there's nothing to fear around here.

In fact... Tomoe and Lizzie's hunches were right on the money... Because Raiyen was known to be the infamous killer of Whitechapel in the streets of London. Specifically, Raiyen was the killer in every version of the tale of Jack the Ripper.

From Lizzie's to Tomoe's or even Z's worlds, Raiyen was Jack the Ripper in all instances. The Prince is a Time Mage, but he did such acts because he wanted to experience the feeling of killing innocent lives. Yes, back before meeting Mavislin... Raiyen was a cold-hearted killer.

He knew nothing about love as his mother had abandoned him after giving birth an hour, throwing him into the sewers like nothing. But unknown to his mother, Raiyen's father was a Time Mage that had been fooling around with countless women.

And Raiyen was one of the lucky children to discover his powers at an early age. But when he was a baby, Raiyen was found by a loving old couple who had no clue how to take care of a kid, feeding him alcohol instead of milk because they were uneducated. But the foster mother was kind.

She knew how to rock the baby to sleep... And that was the only memory that Raiyen could remember about the old couple. Flash forwards to when he was seven years old, Raiyen became a thief for his small family since they were too old to work anymore.

But it wasn't to say that he was born a thief; Raiyen tried everything in his power to earn money in such an area filled with corruption. But unfortunately, the sewer rats were seen as nothing and, thus, were not given any jobs. Even if the kid landed a job, he wouldn't be paid much, which frustrates him.

That's when the Time Boy found that he could travel through Time and had the powers of a Mage. Of course, Raiyen could not tell anyone of such things, so his foster parents never knew about his abilities. Just as things were looking bright, Raiyen would face his first tragedy.
