"Not quite... Mordred was created by a mighty and annoying Mage called Merlin the White Mage. He took some of the King's flesh and blood, mixed Magecraft into it created a doll to make the future heir of Briton. However, it was stolen when they weren't looking."
"Who took it?" asked the small girl.
"The King's evil sister, Morgan Le Fay... She took the little doll, fed it blood for over a year, and raised the kid as if it were her own. That was how Mordred was born. So, as you can see, she isn't normal or has a human body. But, she grows faster because of Magecraft."
"And I'd like to point out that Mordred looks like you, little one..."
"Was she a good person?"
Mavislin kept quiet as she allowed the breeze to pass by, bringing forth a mini tornado of leaves and grass. Finally, the Valkyrie looked up and smiled sadly before hugging the child.
"Mo-san wasn't always the best... She made mistakes, and it's okay to do so, but we must remember to move on. But her anger and fury consumed her when the King couldn't give the throne up to Mordred. That led to the downfall of Camelot, present-day Briton."
"Many suffered... And what the Knight of Rebellion did was unforgivable. However, her end was truly befitting and interesting as she tainted a glorious legend with betrayal. Mordred could've been a hero who served the King as a Knight and fought against bad people, but she didn't want that..."
"Mordred ended up becoming the villain at the very end of her glorious life," described Mavislin as the Knight of Rebellion felt anger bubbling within her soul.
What were you thinking?! Of course, that Valkyrie isn't going to see you as a good person when you've decimated the entire country! What did you expect? She left you to fend for yourself because you were too far gone...
The Valkyrie holds nothing back when it comes time to rain judgment on those who cross the line. And Mordred was no expectation; the Knight Of Rebellion deserved it, and she felt that way. But the Black Knight's broken mind refused to see the mistakes and flaws of Mordred Pendragon.
No matter what thoughts ran through her head, Mordred fought back the urge to lunge at Mavislin and claw her eyes out. Her sanity was no longer around, and she couldn't control the pain of being alone and the world turning against her even if the Valkyrie was speaking the truth.
"So Mordred is a bad person?" asked the young girl as she looked downwards while kicking her legs.
"I never said that... Mordred may be a terrible drunk, but she is the best Knight I've ever known. Her combat skills are second to none against the Arks' newcomers and even my Pillars. So that means Mordred was stronger than Lady Rina," said Mavislin.
OI! I can hold my alcohol very well if I don't mix it with food, protested Mordred.
"Mordred is stronger than Lady Rina? Really?" asked a child with blue and red eyes.
"Yes, Mordred break a giant rock golem with a single punch!" exclaimed Mavislin, punching the air.
The children were very interested in Mordred's primary Skill during short fights called Frenzy. That Skill requires Mordred to burn part of her Elemental Core to gain more Elemental Energy at the peak of the battle.
The only downside is that the battle requires rapid-fire attacks from the opponent. If it's stale, like only deflecting Mordred's attacks, then the Skill will not work. But the higher the stakes and the quicker the attacks, Mordred would have a higher chance of defeating her opponent by overpowering the person within a strike.
"But why would Mo-san be angry with the King? Why did she have to hurt so many people?" asked the children.
"I wish I'd known... If I did, maybe I wouldn't have spent years blaming myself. I only know why Mordred was angry at her father... All because the King had refused to give the throne to Mordred."
"She was fine being the King's shadow, but when the truth came to light, the King refused to see Mordred as an heir."
"Why?"
Yes, I'd like to know why as well. I had been on many tasks and risked my life to serve the Ki, yet I got pushed away like scrap... Was it because I'm a child of a witch?! Mordred couldn't help but clench her fists hard, drawing out blood.
"Because she couldn't become King. Mordred was still a child and couldn't carry the burden of a kingdom without fully understanding what it means to lead the nation..."
The children stared at Mavislin in confusion as they could not understand what the Valkyrie was saying. Mavislin sighed before trying to simplify things.
